I've had a subscription for years and years, and I'm thrilled to see this area given some love. Will look forward to seeing other perks to choose from, but I will enjoy the CW vouchers for sure.

I didn't receive any notification when trying to cancel my old subscription, so I'm in the same boat as a few others there. When I clicked the "cancel" link from the old Subscribe and Save page, it just took me back to the Purchase CSC Page. Hopefully that will get sorted out soon?

Def. looking into coming a subscriber through might be waiting to see what perks for pet creators are since have so many names I would love to get but almost out of pet slots so would love if the perk was getting another pet slot each month since went back to try a site that won't be named and in the end, I find I rather support Subeta than that scam of a pet site any day.

I am hoping this is a great turning point for subeta! I have subscribed, the buddy GAs is actually a really nice perk, I love that. I am EAGERLY looking forward to seeing perks for pet creators!

Ooh, good question. I've subscribed and was probably going to give one of the Buddy GAs to my son at some point without even thinking about it.

(Also, is gifting other household members outside of Luminaire really against the rules? What about their birthday? Oof. I thought gifting between such accounts just had to be "kept to a reasonable minimum" or something.)

It's definitely not against the rules (my mom, sister&I live together, all play Subeta, and send each other occasional gifts without any issues). Although I remember an issue years ago where if two people played on the same computer, their accounts may have been under suspicion for being duplicates or something. Not sure if it's been an issue recently though. Hoping not, because it's the future now (that was like, 7+ years ago).

Okay, I've taken it all in, and seems like a pretty good business move - I like that, good to know Subeta is moving in a good direction.

So my one question is (sorry I got through four pages and couldn't read anymore), will there still be GA tokens? I know there will still be medals for people to buy who aren't subscribed and just want to buy.

At the moment I don't care about anything other than the GA token (if I remember a lot are pet based rewards), if I subscribe monthly I'm not sure which other token I would have, unless other things could be added here, perhaps like CW coupons?

My apologies; you're correct, . This is what I was told in February: "Gifting during Luminaire or for other special occasions such as birthdays is fine, and this includes gifting multiple items under someone's tree. Sending an outfit would also be okay as long as it's not something that you regularly do." I think my brain automatically errs on the side of caution, so I was like, nope, never gonna send anything unless it's during Luminaire. :D But it's my partner's birthday tomorrow, so thank you for pointing this out--I think I'll chance sending a gift. ;)

You're allowed to gift buddy GAs to whomever you like, including people in your household :D

Agreed! This is also where I get most of my CSC. I'd be pretty upset to lose bonus CSC after earning this in good faith.

I have read through most of this thread, and I am so excited that this seems to be a net win for subeta! :D Great positive reactions from users and hopefully more operational money for the site. Yay for the new sub system! I love the CW Shop Vouchers, and hope that they will entice more users to browse and support CW shops, and the Buddy GA feature is so generous. Those would be great to use as contest prizes during holidays, gifts during Lumi, or random acts of kindness during the whole year. I hope people won't feel too shy to use them. :)

One thought about buddy GAs, maybe it would be best if they could only be gifted to users currently not using a GA? For regular subscribers, receiving a buddy GA would just add an extra month to sit eternally on an account that doesn't need it, for instance.

Wouldn't you still receive CSC when your referrals buy CSC normally, outside of their subscription? The subs themselves don't come with all that much CSC, so I assume most users would still be buying some on top of their subscription, but maybe I'm wrong!

Welp. I'm pretty sad about that, ngl. If I bought the monthly subscription, would I still get the benefits of it or have to wait? I'm really sad that I spent that much CSC when the system changed not even 2 weeks later. Rip.

Weekend Quests are not changing. The only thing mentioned was the CSC bonus weekends that we used to have.

From what I've read, you can submit a ticket about your GA and I believe staff will refund your time left with CSC, if you want to subscribe to get the benefits of starting a new subscription.

I will like to be a 'Quester' (5$ a month is acceptable for me) but I really need to see more work from the team, which at the moment I don't see unfortunately.. :/

I'm sure you've noticed by now but the $5 subscription doesn't actually include a buddy GA.
