Sorry for being stupid, but but I never used the subscribe option before. How does this work, if we sign up for a subscription on paypal, will it automatically take the money out of your paypal account each month, correct? For how long, do you choose a time frame, or is this indefinitely?
Or will you be notified and still have to confirm something? Since I would have to make sure there's enough money on it each month.

Well, I want to keep my GA as is. When it runs out, I might get a subscription. I just hope this isn't a move to phase out GA's. I like GA's for the shop perks. It'd be a real disappointment to lose that.

I just bought a 12 month GA five days ago XD Glad to see they are working on a way to refund as CSC, but then we wouldn't be able to turn around and use that for the subscription because it has to be cash right?

2 free items would be great because it would cover your personal slot copy and the one that most artists ask for. That means you're paying less up front and it makes it way less burdensome. That's usually why people rather do slots because the upfront cost when doing DTS vs. Slotting is so different.

Maybe for the fourth tier instead of having two buddy gold accounts we could get one buddy account and a shot at an exclusive chance machine that would only be available to 4th tier subscribers that would have things like:

1 pet name change

1 pet slot

1 user name change

250 csc, 100 csc, 500 csc, morty cards

Retired cash shop items : Pulls from a pool of retired cash shop items.

Cw pawn shop: (if pulling this out of the machine, it would give you the ability to go to the cw pawn shop and purchase one item. Maybe make it so it has to be used within 24 hours. You could also go either way in the item being free or we would have to pay for the item we buy as the chance to look in the pawn shop is the prize itself)

Exclusive items: (clothes, toys, beanbags, plushies) These items should NOT be account bound, we would be able to sell them like any other item, as there are people who collect plushies, bb and stickers.

Quest bonus: Add five extra quests to all your quests for the day. (Lasts 24 hours)

Restocker: 30% Cheaper when buying from official shops (Lasts 24 hours) (stacks with other bonuses)

Battling: 10 or 20 EXP points to the stat of your choice. Exclusive battle challengers.

Lots of other things could be added, I'm sure others could come up with even better ideas.

Because the items are more valuable, it could be something that you only get to do once a week.

Most of these things would have to be account bound, like the username, pet name and pawn shop. However, maybe they could be turned in or exchanged if you weren't going to use it. For example, what if you landed on username and you didn't want to change your name? You could trade it in for 100 csc instead.

Just throwing out ideas to give people something to think about.

Also, here in argentina we got blocked paypal(i damn my president for this.... is really a pain) i can ask if we can use a direct payment from a Credit Card?......

The issue of paypal in argentina, is a problem on my country, is not a issue direct with this.

I want to participate, but it's unclear how. I just bought a year's worth of a gold account; will this replace that?

Are there any specific ideas in mind for the pet and battling side of benefits?

My feedback, less grumbly is: I'm glad we aren't forgotten, and there are plans to change the subscriptions based on feedback. The current benefits don't appeal to me enough to warrant spending money.

I know adding on more, especially to lower tiers, could make selling higher tier ones more difficult, but I really don't want to see the pet/battler/non-wearable benefits put only in the more expensive tiers. At least the bulk of them in the 5 - 10 dollar range would be ideal.

Is there a specific way staff would like ideas for these benefits? In this thread? In a thread in suggestions - pets/battling? With users listing off what sounds appealing?

(I admittedly am a bit unsure what to suggest myself, hence asking if there were any ideas right now? Though I understand if they'd rather not be shared, to avoid running the risk of pressuring staff into implementing ones said by a staff member.)

Edit: I really like Marcus' idea below of a perk voucher that could go to different things, instead of something specific.

I'm excited to see what perks pet creators will have access to. I'll probably wait until those perks come out 'til I subscribe, but this system looks really good.

One thing that might open up some possibilities for subscribers of all levels is a generic Perk Voucher that works a little like Forum Points, except you trade X vouchers for a perk (and each tier could get a certain number of Perk Vouchers per month, or the same).

That way, the site could introduce more valuable perks that users save up for. Like a username change would cost more Perk Vouchers than a custom pet overlay, and so on. It would add some flexibility to the system and provide incentive for users to subscribe month after month. Idk, just spitballin' a little, here. :P

A Perk Voucher is a much better idea than my chance machine idea earlier in the thread. Lots of different things could be added (including the things I mentioned in a different post) to give a good variety that would make the majority happy.

So are we receiving a gift anda a voucher this month or staying next month? Or do we get a voucher each month. I haven't read through the whole thread sorry. I don't understand the voucher thing.

There are two options available: pay by credit card, or pay by Paypal.

If you can't use Paypal, you can use the credit card.

At first, we were only allowed to pay by credit card, but some people had problems with that and Keith gave us two options.

this looks great so far, i'm definitely interested in subscribing~ (i'll probably try and remember to do it at the start of the month for logistical reasons) (also, depending on exchange rate v tier perks because AUD>USD usually sucks. that was usually my main reason to choose to only buy CSC during bonus weekends, and hold off spending most of it until BFS)

my tired-brain idea/contribution for further additions - something like the Loyalty Box setup where the better tier you are subscribed to gives you a better box, with pet/battling/name changes/csc/cw options in the box to choose from?

Just sharing because my ticket person spoke to Keith and he says we have two options. We can either:

I was originally hoping for something more along the lines of; I paid $51.50 for a year of the $3/mo level of subscription which would now cost $36. What about keeping the 12mo GA and getting the price difference back in CSC? In this case 1550. But to be fair, I do actually really want to sign up for the $5 tier to get the extra perks. (Sidenote: If I had put $50 straight into CSC I would have gotten 6000CSC.)

If we leave it as is and subscribe with the new set-up to a higher tier, the current GA would turn into that tier of GA, right? By that I mean we would get the items/CSC every month and after we stop paying for the subscription, there would still be almost a year of GA left?

And then of course if you choose refund you'll have the 5400 csc up front and once the subscription ends, the GA ends.

Either way if I want the new subscription, I have to sign up fresh and basically double the money I'm putting into the site this year. I'm fortunate enough to be in a place where this isn't a huge deal. But previous times in my life I'd be pretty torn up at the perceived loss. I mean, technically you still get what you paid for. But when money is always tight and you have to constantly search for the best bang for your buck, this is the worst. Having a deal pop up days after you finally pulled the trigger on a purchase that would give you way more for your money if you had just waited.

sigh Anyways, got some thinkin to do. Oh the good and bad of having choices in life :P

This is great and I'm glad I didn't immediately renew my Gold Account, haha. I too look forward to when there'll be some pet-related perks, but I also like CWs so it's still neat! I'll subscribe - I've been here for over 15 years and I wanna be here for 15 more. (I thought it was 13 before I checked my profile... oh god)

Excited to hear the possibility of the price of creating/submitting CWs to be lowered. I've been thinking about making my own CWs, but have been hesitant because it' expensive to do.
