Are Gold Accounts gone? Are the GW perks and benefits gone?

Does this mean there isn't gonna be a monthly item I can buy from a special shop at any time after if I missed it/decided I want it now with CSC I earnt from, say, selling CWs (ie, if I don't get a subscription and pay Real Monies I have to buy one from another user's shop, likely at a highly inflated price)?

Are Cash Shop items gonna go down in price?

No GAs are not going anywhere (I'm not sure how people are coming to this conclusion because there is nothing in Keiths post about GAs being stopped), medals will still be a thing. GAs are simply part of this new sub service like they were for the old subs.

Monthly items are now part of the new subscription depending what tier your subscribe to. Whether these items will be available in the cash shop has not been answered yet but I think it's safe to assume that they would still be purchasable in the cash shop.

Cash Shop items MAY become cheaper, or they are looking at doing bundles for cheaper access to items. CWs arent being reduced in price yet and won't be implemented until much further in the future.

instead of monthly can you offer 3 monthly 6 monthly and yearly on each of the tiers?

I do wonder if we can use gift cards. I'd get a 15$ gift card right now and subscribe for the next 5 months.

longer subscription periods will be added later, once they've had time to get more feedback and work out the kinks.

I subscribed to the highest tier, used a buddy gold account voucher and the CW vouchers, and they all worked perfectly! I got a notify and the item really fast, too.

Good news on it working so smoothly!

Thanks to my buddies from Di&Kat Chat who I bought CWs from with the vouchers -- for verifying that to them, the voucher purchase looked just the same as when someone buys a CW from their shop with CSC.

Ok so, I just tried using paypal to pay for a subscription and... it's not working for me. it keeps asking me to "link a credit card" (which I don't have that's why I use paypal) to my paypal account even though there's enough money in my paypal balance to pay for the first month (I even converted it from euros to USD just in case that was the issue and it still doesn't work).. are we not allowed to use the balance in our paypal wallet to pay for subscriptions? will it work if I link my paypal to my bank account (I hadn't done that yet because manually transferring money to my paypal balance whenever I need to buy something worked fine for me too until now)? if paypal will only work after I link a credit card to it then that still doesn't fix my "I don't have a credit card" problem..

(I understand that a subscription is a recurring payment and I would have to make sure that I keep putting enough money into my paypal wallet each month, but I've also been doing it that way for my yearly adobe subscription and that works just fine)

As for GAs, I saw people mentioning them and figured the new system made them redundant.

I've never had a credit card in my life, but I linked both my bank account and my debit card to Paypal; the money comes out of my account, or off my card, just fine. I am in the UK, mind, so I don't know how things work on the continent.

Will buddy GA be an option to opt out of? I’ve purchased a subscription but say someone gifts me a buddy GA, this will add 30/31 days to my current GA... correct? Which means -if I understand- that my subscription would not renew until AFTER that time, so I would not get the subscription perks every month. ??

Example: My subscription/GA runs out Aug 1 and set to renew. Before then, two people gift me Buddy GA so my new end date for GA is Oct 1. So my subscription would not again renew until Oct 1 and thus I would not receive my monthly perks of CSC and vouchers in Aug and Sept?

Because I like the perks and would rather pay monthly than lose those by being gifted GA account time.

I was usually doing $20 a pop on bonus weekends, so this will be ok

Hey there. This new subscription system is cool, I like that it has a variety of tiers.

I've never bought a subscription but I always buy GA medals from the cash shop. I recently bought the 6 month GA, so that's gonna be valid til some time in Dec. If I want to subscribe and get all the benefits of, for instance, the $5 per month subscription, how will that work, since I'm already getting a GA benefit for the next 5 months. If it adds on afterward, that still won't help since I'll continue to subscribe. Did you say something about refunds? I understand if this isn't all worked out yet. Great new system.

I like the plan ideas and subscribed immediately, although I'm a bit bummed that the lowest one doesn't come with anything extra at all. :P

It would be really nice to receive something for the initial subscription - like one special item just for the first time you subscribe. :) It's a commitment after all. ;)

I was one of those who threw their toys out of the pram when the bonus weekends were stopped; but this new system seems so good, thank you and all the staff👏🏻👏🏻

Loving all the suggestions for alternatives to the Buddy GAs. I foresee this new system going so successfully that the majority of existing players will have a gold account anyway so all the new players introducing themselves on the W&I thread will be inundated with gifted GAs. Good for them but then they won’t have the incentive to subscribe.

As a subscriber, would a person be allowed to gift a Buddy GA to someone who resides in the same household as they do? Or is that off-limits in the same way sending gifts outside of Luminaire is?

I went to get a subscription, but when I clicked on the "plan" button, it took me to a blank page. (well. the header was there, but nothing else)

I definitely think I'm going to sign up for one. I'm thinking the $10 tier. I like the custom wearable vouchers and I don't have a large group of friends to gift GA's to, really, but I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities to throw a buddy GA someones way.

I have referrals who buy during the bonus weekend, from which I get a percentage. How will that bonus be rolled over into the new system? Will we get a percentage of their monthly subscription now, in CSC?

Also, when I click to sign up for the $3/month feature, I get a blank page (well, a couple of rectangles, but they're blank). Is this happening for anyone else?
