Hope to see limits (especially for galleries) continue to get raised so that everyone winds up in a reasonable place. Did notice one post (again - can't supply the link, sorry, there's been so much and I've been trying hard to just keep up) mentioning that shop and gallery data were in different tables. Seems to me that is good news for gallery owners as it should help make larger galleries less load on the system (assuming, of course, that I understood what I read correctly).

- for what it's worth, whether you had impact on Food Day or not doesn't really matter, in my opinion. It's obvious that you had a point to make that was important to you and to others and I think you made it well and in a reasonable way. I, for one, would not want to sign an off-site petition due to security concerns, but no one was forced (or even pushed) to sign and this thread allowed a mostly respectful and (again in my opinion) important discussion to happen. Thank you.

I am so confused.

It's been years since I logged in to do anything but check my messages and I come back to see my gallery system jacked up? I put a lot of time and effort into that gallery, now I can't even transplant everything into the new system? I have 6k individual items, and that's me being YEARS out of date if I wanted to catch up. The cap for items with the new system is 2.5? Why? What happened? The cap for the old system was 75k so what was wrong with that?

Shit, what site celebrates growth but downsizes users' capacities?

This change to the shops and galleries is new and has not been popular. Now that it is rolled out, I found it pretty easy to create new shops and move things. However, I never had a big gallery so I fragged the crap out of my shop leading up to the change and didn't have a lot to move.

I think most important knowledge today for you is, you do not have to move your galleries. This week old and new shops and galleries are both functioning. When that window closes you will not be able to add anything to the old shops and galleries, and they will no show up in shop search, but they will NOT go anywhere. You can leave your galleries be, kind of like a vault, until you are up to moving them.

Seems like I'm already unable to add stuff to my old shops and galleries. That was kind of the only reason I came back on here. A friend mentioned sending me items so I thought "hey cool, stick it in the gallery and maybe see if I can beef that up." Nope. Seems not. It's just such a pain in the ass. My gallery was supposed to be an ongoing thing but now I'm either locked out of a limited collection or have access to an even more limited collection.
