My Subeta Memory

I was extremely lonely in high school. I had friends, but I was often left out or disinvited. I had undiagnosed ADHD and I struggled to make social connections. One day on a spare period, I kept smiling at a student one year above me. After a few weeks, we got to talking. She showed me subeta around December and I remember going home and spending the entire weekend restocking and browsing and playing. I never celebrated christmas so having Lumi was so special to me, I never missed it. That girl became my friend and we sat together every day for lunch. We also ended up going to university together too. I haven't seen her in years, but because of her I kept sitting in that spot even after she graduated and I reconnected with other students and met people I'm still friends with 15 years later. I remember getting so excited getting to design my pet's TC I spent hours filling out my wishlist haha

Something I'd Love to See

With Legacy names being a finite resource, I would love the return of a cash shop feature that gives some sort of uniqueness to pets again! My favourite part of Subeta was finding those unique pet names and browsing frozen accounts to get your favourite names. Especially how Legacy names are so covetted it would be nice to have something akin to a unique name. I would spend a small fortune on the cash shop if that existed. (Not suggesting the replacement or cheapening of legacy names, just something new entirely that returns something unique to pet identities!

My first Survival event, I absolutely loved going through that event. Skitters still remains one of my favorite NPCs on this website. Still upset him and Fantine broke up. Dx

Honestly, the things I'd love to see would be either a new pet species, a new color or events coming back at some point. I really miss the excitement from the events as the story was progressing.

I've been on this website 18 years and I hope to be here another 18. This is the one website I've stuck with the longest and have had the most fun on. Hope it continues. :)

so many come to mind! like other folks mentioned I really loved all the plots we had over the years! From when we lost Amy, and I remember the whole site being so upset over it! One of the smaller ones that was really fun was when subeta did that battle of the bands. I remember me and my friends going all out on the silliest concept, buckets. It was so fun. Another one I loved was during survial and we all went around collecting organs lol

I would love to see plots/stories make a comeback. They were such a fun thing to get everyone in the community invloved, and it gave us such fun lore.

Im fairly new to subeta, so while I don't have much to look back on, I can say I've really enjoyed what I've experienced thus far! This community has been very friendly and easy to interact with, even if you're someone who typically keeps to themselves usually. My first Luminaire was a blast and I'm already looking forward to this year's!

Something I'd Love to See

Id love to see some sort of fairy/fantasy pet color (sorta like a certain other digital pet site wink wink nudge nudge) or maybe an update to some of the current colors. It would be cool to have unique art for some of them, for example (like reborn has unique art, but arid has the same are as common). It could also be fun to give them holiday themed colors, too. Or maybe a beach theme, since there's already one that coincide with the other seasons.

I have been here for almost 14 years now. My best friend rescued me from that yellow site that shall not be named. LOL! My favorite memories are making friends within my holiday contests and hanging out with them in the forums. -oh yeah and discovering that the language filters here are so much more relaxed. I about fell over the first time seeing mild profanity in thw shoutbox haha. couldnt even say basic words in that other place.

Memories... Forum role-play events. Squirrels unite! Omen Islands event. I keep forgetting the face painting is still there... I remember when each new area was "discovered" and loved it! The Omen Islands, Shengui Guo, etc.

I would love... I've loved all the events throughout the years. I thought it was interesting how some even turned into yearly holidays!
I would love some sort of event that would make you explore all the various areas; kind of like a walk through time/memories or a scavenger hunt.

Morostide has always been my favorite holiday (I keep the theme on at all times), and really loved the 2014 and 2018 plots! Getting to learn more about one of my favorite NPCs was a lot of fun, as well as exploring the mansion.

Along with the return of plots, I would also love it if some of the monthly challengers were made available as pets, particularly those that are based on existing species. A lot of them are really neat looking.

My favourite memory...

There's two that really stick out-

The plot where Amy died. That was pretty shocking and dark at the time. Maybe a bit edgy? But it's stuck with me all these years.

The plot during survival where Fantine and Skitters fell in love. I really enjoyed all the cakes with morse code on them.

So, basically plots.

Honorable mention to when I was a kid and screen recorded my journey through the polar wastelands and somehow ended up with the frozen bucket on thr first go. I got my favourite pet that day, the Glacier Warador, Aisu. He's still with me too.

Something I'd Love to See

I know it's difficult because subeta isn't in a place to do so, but I'd love some more modern looking hair styles in the base wardrobe. I would love to recreate my actual hair style and colour which is somewhat similar to my current HA, but not quite right. Even if it's a return of the vouchers from the cash shop (with more realistic/practical hair styles, none of them fantastical updos please), I just prefer the versatility of those wigs/hair over the single coloured ones.

I've been on Subeta since 2009, so much has changed over the 16-17 years, and it makes me so sad to see how stagnant it is these days. Events aren't as interesting as they used to be, with survival being the only one that really captures my attention these days. I hope subeta is able to get back to the glory days. Another note, a more personal one, my cat was born in 2009, pretty close to the subeta anniversary. She's an old lady now, but she still puts the younger cats in their place when needed to. Keep going Subeta!

I started playing this game in high school, and while I may not have been very active in the forums, I fondly remember getting music recommendations from another user here, whose songs I still listen to today. I also remember my first survival in 2020, and checking the subeta forums before school each day to see how the zombie viruses progressed overnight.

I'd love to see more community events! Playing during Lumi or even the free shop week are always my favorite times, because there's so many other people interacting at once. I would love to see more events that involve posting on forums or gifting other players.

I've now graduated college, and subeta has been such a lovely part of my life. The humor, beautiful art, and amazing people here bring me back again and again.

I love being able to create a creature to comemorate something, Trible Scoot is a great example it was for my 17 year old Chi Chi after he died. Aside from that I love collecting and Making my Galleries Memorial To Wife And Silvers Tresures something to behold :)

Growing up, my parents never celebrated holidays. Subeta holidays was basically how I celebrated for myself and I still come back to Subeta every event. I think these days, newer pet sites don't have holidays based roughly on US holidays anymore, and I understand the move to be less US centric etc. But this also makes Subeta a bit more unique nowadays, ironically.

I also remember the chaos of the annual giveaways, from back when they were in the Donation Center, and then the Free Shop.

Everyone says events and I do agree, though I'm fine with them being very scaled back. It would be nice to at least have something small and unique for summer, in addition to Neugarten. Also, I think the peka boo sp items have not returned yet!

For me, the first holiday I experienced after joining Subeta was Keelhauliday, and what a coincidence that was! I absolutely love pirates, so that was a special kind of joy, to encounter such a holiday so soon after joining. ^u^

i remember staying up late to talk to my friends from all over the world on msn. talking about token shop restocks, entering avatar contests. being annoying little teens but having so much fun being so annoying on the forums. i remember a year when the free shop was restocking like crazy and just refreshing like ALL night and how psyched everyone in the shoutbox was. ughhh and making all my money through the art shop was so fun because im so bad at quests and stuff. it made teen me truly feel like i was a business man being able to make like. $5 off sketches omg....
