Mmm but....books!!! I AM keeping collections. From my fav authors only mostly. If I get a random book to read I'll usually donate it. My mom gives me all kinds of paperback romances and science fiction books and I read them and donate them. BUT if it's one of my fav authors....I'm keeping it. I have two bookshelves double stacked with paperback books. And one of hard covers. They are only two shelf bookshelves that Ryan built. I am going to inherit my dad's collection of books when he dies he says I'll have the complete Percy jackson in hard cover them plus who knows what all else lol (I bought all the PJ books in hard cover, but they were for Katie, so she took them with her....now I don't have copies but refuse to buy myself them since I'll be getting my dad's eventually).

LOL. It makes sense not to get them though, since you know you will be!

I prefer paperbacks tbh.. but really, I like my kindle more! Well.. the kindle app, really? Some I even buy to complete my collection, but also end up buying on kindle too so I can just read them that way because I prefer it so much. My wrists are really bad, so it's just a lot easier to use my light phone than a heavy book. :( I used to dislocate my wrists fairly often with books, actually haha. Because I'm a mess :P

But like, if Iz doesn't want to keep all her Junie B Jones books, I'm totally OK with that! She does have doubles of half the Percy Jackson books that she wants to keep all of, and that's fine, too :P

Exactly!! If I want to re-read them I'll go borrow from the library. I don't buy on kindle (I have the app too, on my Onn tablet lol) I really like it because I can read so many quick easy reads (mostly romance :P ) But for my fav authors or really good series, I do like actual BOOKS. When I have TIME to read them. My collection of NON romance (sci-fi or fantasy) consists mostly of Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey and Lois McMaster Bujold. One entire bookshelf (double stacked) is mostly just them lol I have SO MANY MORE of Bujold and Lackey to buy still :/ But I have most of McCaffrey. Just need a few of hers. (and his, her son continued the series with her and did a set on his own I need to buy) I have some from a few other authors that I really loved and just kept. And I have a few romance series I loved - LaVerle Spencer is one I refuse to get rid of, and Judith McNaught - they are really good stories and not smut :P (umm yes, a lot of my kindle romance is smutty, but not all hahahah)

My stupid dog woke me up barking at who knows what at 3 am. Then kept me awake because she was whining. I got up to pee and on my way back to bed bumped my toes into the bedframe. They still hurt :( I don't want to put on shoes. AND "celebrate, good times!!" (singing) Daisy goes home today, Shane messaged me and asked me to leave the key out and he's going to grab her on his way past to go home this weekend, Anna is supposed to be home later today or early tomorrow too. YAY (He isn't supposed to put the dog in his truck but he is going to for the 1hr ride to Thomaston anyway).

It's really easy to find smutty romance on kindle haha. Especially the free ones :P

Yay for Daisy going home!

Ugh guys, today was legit so scary. So we had a fire drill last week, no one said anything, thought it went smooth but let's be honest, no one ever tells us anything. Well, all of a sudden on the news last night it said someone climbed onto the roof of the wellness center and made terroristic threats about a new assassination, was talking about how he can shoot long, etc, during the fire drill.

Came out TODAY that it was actually the maintenance garage, but like.. the school was definitely covering it all up. Also, everyone knows who it was, an 8th grade boy.

Well, this morning his friends were like "Did you hear about -boy-?" And then HIS FRIENDS were saying how it was scary because he has a lot of knives and his parents don't lock up their guns, etc. And THEN he started texting a bunch of kids at lunch asking them to help sneak him into the football game. One brought his phone over to me, so I took him and it over to the security guard and he took the kid and the phone down to the principal. Right after that the bigger kids came in, and the cheerleaders had said they had heard threats about the game that night, and they went to the vice principal, and he said it was just a rumor, but they were all freaking out. Meanwhile, the game was still on and they had a big pep rally. The NEXT lunch was also big kids, and all the rest of the cheerleaders and by now the football players too were being really weird and quiet and kind of scared, and then the team captain was like "Let's just forfeit and say none of us are showing up, then they'll cancel it."

So about 20 minutes after that we finally get a text that they postponed the homecoming game tonight. BUT. This kid is just.. at home? There's a lot of rumors of course, but like... he's pretty much just at home?

And Lily said that all the kids were still really nervous at the pep rally and everyone kept watching all the doors, which is just so sad. And that one of the other seniors (football player) came over to her and was like "This is really scary, right?" And like.. it WAS. All of it! We left right after the text and right before the pep rally, but we went up to see the band director first because marching band was in the band room.

And this morning was the senior breakfast too, so I was already a little nervous about just dropping her off in the foggy parking lot at 6:30 am. But apparently they really did have a great time at the breakfast, so that's nice.

But like.. yikes to everything.

Also. He's in EIGHTH grade. It's just so sad, all of it.

Good grief!! I saw your post about the game getting cancelled. Just wow. I can't imagine how those kids feel. Scary. And yes, so sad that all this is from an 8th grader. Its just soooo sad and weird and just...what is wrong with the world today, you know?? I'm glad the other kids felt comfortable reporting it to adults. GOOD FOR THEM!!

Today I had a dr apt, the regular dr I go to for my prescriptions refered me to the gastro dr again for elevated whatevers for fatty liver disease. (Last time, was like 2-3 yrs ago, same thing, super expensive ultrasound, result = change my diet, nothing else can be done) eyeroll Anyway, so today, dr comes in and says, EH I don't think this is anything to worry about, this whatever that is elevated isn't eleveated that much and might not even be elevated because of the fatty liver. IT could be from something else. BUT hey - lets schedule you for THREE MORE APPOINTMENTS JUST TO MAKE SURE SO now I get to go for MORE bloodwork sigh at a whenever I want to time frame - but before the other two apts - one is scheduled for Oct 15th and the third the place has to call ME to schedule that apt. but I am supposed to get a call by Tuesday for that. Another ultrasound is what that one is. The Oct 15th one is SORT of like an ultrasound, but different she says and will give better results/info on damage or no damage to the liver from the fatty liver.

GO ME I get to spend more money I don't really have to have them probably tell me the same thing they told me 2-3 yrs ago - Change your diet, exercise more. Less carbs less sugar I AM TRYING!! And now I can't exercise like I was doing so good at, due to the stupid plantar fasciitis too GRRRRR

I had arranged for my neighbor to meet me at Nathans work so I could drop the car off and she could bring me home ... as I THOUGHT my apt would be over by the time she got off work at 430. My apt was at 340. I didn't see the dr until at least 420, and then I sat for 10 mins before they even started trying to check me out/book my other apts, and then made it a learning lesson for a new staff member, so I didn't leave the freaking dr office until 455!! AND I GOT THERE AT 325!!! (and I know an hour-ish isnt really that bad but honestly! When I was told apts are booked every 20mins, I expected to be in/out and done before that!!) So my neighbor had to leave Nathans work w/o me - she had somewhere else to be. And now I have to go drive to Nathans work when he has his break, and come home again and then he can take himself back to work sigh Oh well Chili for dinner btw, at least that is easy once I cook the hamburger meat (its frozen).

Right?! I told my friend last night, I'm so proud of all his friends who went and told adults instead of trying to deal with it between themselves. I'm so proud of the kids who were like "Look, this isn't right and we shouldn't be doing this when there's a threat" and going to the administration. NOT super proud of the administration who were like "No you're fine everything is fine nothing happened" and tried to shove everything under a rug basically, and who then told the kids "It's just a rumor nothing is happening" and who only cancelled when the football players threatened them?!

And super proud of the coaches (football, and band) who had originally said "Nah, we're still having practice" but then noticed that their kids were NOT okay and said "You know what, go home, hang with your families and friends, I'll see you tomorrow".

But the school themselves? Bad. They once again handled everything super badly.

Ugh. Can you tell them you can't afford the co-pays, etc and ask if it's all really needed or if it will actually do anything?

And boooo, but nice of your neighbor. What a mess that all is, I'm sorry :(

I'm going to call and try and find out how much it costs. I mean, I could be remembering it wrong, but now its two ultrasound type things instead of just one, so I bet it will cost even more than last time. She flat out said she didn't think the ultrasound would show anything different, but wanted to redo it I guess, and said the other ultrasound thing (found the paper its called a fibroscan) is what she thinks will show important stuff, if anything is to be found.

Yeah, that is crazy that the school tried to ignore it, I mean HONESTLY!! Take stuff seriously! So glad the kids did. Better safe than sorry!!

Ryan delivered my new to me mower. We chatted a while. I went and mowed after they left and was done in like 30-40 mins hahah. I didn't get super close to the house tho, I was worried I'd hit it, since I'm learning how to operate the dumb thing. I did run myself onto the terrace (overgrown weed patch hahaha - but didn't hit a tree thankfully - I backed myself up. Just turned wrong, as I said, learning how to operate/turn the damn thing. It did really good job going over my dips and bumps thankfully. Need to make bratchild go do the finishing touches (around the house/ac unit and under my swing) with the push mower or weed eater

[edit] 430pm I have completed my two nature journal assignments for the STEM class and turned them in. I also turned in the case study on canvas. I will turn it in on anthology soon (have to turn it in twice) - since his feedback on the 2nd check in was good, I think I am good with it, I added a few more details and final notes and boom, done. I need to see what else I can do. OOOh I did also type up a bunch of my handwritten notes into my "administrator notebook" for my practicum at the childcare center. So that is done, but a lot of assignments to do there still too :/ Never ending. But I printed off the ones I did complete so if she wants to see my progress whenever she comes, I have it (she's supposed to have come by the end of Sept - i'm texting her tomorrow if she doesn't text me!! as Tuesday is the last day of Sept LOL) Oooh ooof. That reminds me, I need to type up and turn in the assignment for THAT class for this week - program policies and procedures - I was to look at the parent handbook and staff handbook and choose 5 of what I thought was the most essential points and discuss them. I wrote down the ones I chose but never did anything else. Ooops. Guess that is my next thing to work on! Good thing its not due until tomorrow night!

[edit] Sunday 930am Did the assignment and turned it in last night. Then this morning I took my quiz (read 1 1/2 chapters last night, fell asleep). Skimmed over the rest of the chapter this morning. Took the quiz. Got an 80. (8/10 pts). 25 questions on this one. REALLY wish I knew which ones I got wrong. Some questions were .25pts, some were .5 points. Eh. Oh well. Added up how many points I can be down and still pass the class and I'm doing fine. Not going to worry. Have four more quizzes to do by the end of term. All my regular assignments I've gotten 100s on so far and no reason to think that won't continue. This class is graded weirdly anyway. I have to get points, and anything over a specific amount of points is given a grade of "satisfactory" under is "unsatisfactory" - if you get Unsatisfactory you don't pass the class (yep. Pass/Fail for practicums, what fun. I can't IMAGINE having to repeat this thing! UGH)

Ugh, that class sounds super annoying!

Yay for the new mower, and it working well! I get you on the neeing to practice driving it though.

Drove 3 hours there to a competition yesterday and 3 hours back... but they took third and got high music! (That's the highest score for the music played! So that's super great!). Especially since they had a few kids out because they decided to go to homecoming on time.

Now football game today at 1. It's going to be hot, and sunny. Ugh LOL. Hopefully it'll also be safe?! No new rumors going around except that the kid is on house arrest. I sincerely hope he is!

But also.. poor kids. That's marching band practice for 3 hours Thursday, practice and pep rally Friday, 14 hours of marching band stuff yesterday, and then today, and then three hours of practice tomorrow night. No break for them.. or us :P

Yeah. The practicum has been the most annoying class I've had yet!! :P I like the teacher at least hahah!!

Oooh wow yeah, those poor kids. Always going going going. Congrats to them though!! They did great!! And yea, hopefully no issues at the game. Is the game today because they cancelled it the other day? Games aren't usually on weekends....let alone a SUNDAY! :o

I cleaned up the side yard this morning by the house (found a snake under the grass rug, eek! a little one. It never moved while I moved stuff around, but I was careful to stay away from it anyway) I plan to mow along the side of the house, as close as I feel comfortable and knock all that crap down, I did trim all the baby trees first with the clippers while I cleaned up and moved the junk away from the side of the house. Its just still too wet to do any mowing yet. (Rain last night, morning damp too). I moved the push mower, and it was so rusted now that the entire front wheel area broke off :o oops. Guess I need a new pushmower. Good thing I have the electric one still LOL

I am debating moving the dog pen that I've been using at the back door - over to by the runner line. (*I don't know how to take it apart!! But will let the junk man do so if he wants to take it whenever I get around to calling him to come get crap) But then we'd have to walk Belle out to the runner line (w/o the dog pen at the door, its a short walk from the back door to do that). Not sure. That or put an inground stake at the back door for her. (but then she's still close to the door...) Because I am tired of the poop smell every time I open the door because Nathan doesn't keep it clean and I don't have time to keep up with it. If I do that, I'll get rid of all the grass rugs and let the grass grow up in the dirt in those areas I guess....

EDIT OMG dies laughing My brain is SO FRIED. So on Friday I did that apt, right? And I booked three more apts, right? And so when I got home, I said, one is on a Wednesday, I need a sub. The next is on Thanksgiving break, so I am good there, I'll do the last one after I get off work and make an apt (even tho it can be walk in, apts can be made too). So I called up a sub and arranged for her to cover me.... was going to put it in the system tomorrow at work. Today, a light bulb goes off over my head - that Wed is FALL BREAK - No Sub NEEDED, no school!! However, It just hit me also, that means I need to rearrange that days hours at the childcare center, as I was supposed to go in the mornings during fall break, and I'll have to go in the afternoon that day. MEH. BRAIN FART! BRAIN FRIED. BRAIN DEAD!!!!!

Yeah, it was Sunday because of the postponement. We have games Friday nights and occasional Saturdays, but other size teams have a lot of games Saturdays because there's not enough refs, plus our homecoming dance was Saturday.

Ooooh, a short walk doesn't sound awful. That's what we did with Bella, was walk her a little bit to her run line. And then, like you said, you could clean up the grass rugs, etc!

Edit 10/4: THANK YOU !!!! I had a great birthday actually, even though none of the three kids that don't live here remembered.. or most of my family. But whatever! I didn't care so much this year because my coworkers made it a fun day, and Alex and I had a great time. And all the 7th and 8th graders sang to me which was hilarious and awful at the same time LOL.

Our older kids just don't seem to register things eh? Like it doesn't mean anything to them...even after all the things we've done for them. Oh well. [edit] Oct 7th 830am Well today I have a dr apt (ultrasound one) so I am starving right now (no breakfast!). I go into work at 1115. So I decided to do my final exam (for my Wed class) since I am sitting here at home doing nothing until my apt at 10am. IT was a reflective paper. I hope I did ok on it. :P I have one more assignment to do for my other class (by Sunday, as its the Monday class) Then I have class next Monday to discuss that specific topic and whatever else the instructor decides. Then that class will be over too. Thank goodness no tests in that class. My practicum professor is coming to visit my childcare center today so that will be fun. I updated and printed off the "final project" documents, so if she wants to look at them and give me feedback, I have it available. I also asked my director for the forms I need for this weeks assignment, so I HOPE she has them when I get there today. She will be gone next week, and I need to remind her to print me off the lesson plans too. I feel bad asking her for these things knowing she's trying to get ready to go on vacation (for her daughters wedding no less) but I NEED them for my assignments.

ANYWAY. That means my NEXT classes will start soon EEEEK (I think on Wed the 15th is my first next class and its with the instructor that I had on Wed already, at least i like him) Mondays class will be the strict/hard professor (according to my classmates who had her before). Next terms classes are Autism (characteristics and methods for young children with autism spectrum disorders) and Curriculum/intervention (curriculum and intervention for exceptional young children). What fun! :/ I cannot wait for this semester to be over. I think that next semester will be a lot easier (less going on, only 1 class plus the practicum (student teaching), but maybe a bit more work, since its student teaching, but at least in MY OWN CLASSROOM!) I'm so exhausted right now by all this going on this semseter. And I have 8 more weeks.

Oh my goodness. At least you're almost done?! With this set of classes, at least. You can totally do another 8 weeks, you've got this!

... which doesnt' actually help, because people can cheer you on and say "you've got this" all they want and it's not going to help if you're drowning in overwhelm and work and exhaustion and such. So I'm sorry. :(

No honestly, it helps that others believe in me. Because I don't have a lot of people to tell me that :) You know how I get, all stressed out over nothing most of the time. But yeah. it is a LOT this semester!

So the visit went well I think. I wanted to have the chance to have her look over my work for the final but I didn't ... but thats ok. I do have a chance to turn it in early for review anyway, later on. My director did NOT have the forms for me, but I stressed that I need them to be able to complete the assignment, and I think she got the point because SHE made a point of stating to the professor that she had to get me some forms by Thursday but otherwise we were doing well with the discussions for my work.

Add in all this doctor nonsense on top of it, and sheesh. Enough already right? I'm chilling out right now and NOT doing anything for school :P I'll get back to that later.

[edit] Case study graded - full points for me :D Thought it would be so, since he gave me good feedback to change some things the first feedback and his 2nd feedback was simply "Good case study" :P Some of my group project friends texted how they did (we were discussing how nervous they were! lol glad i'm not the only one who gets nervous about grades). They did good too. One got a 48/50 (didn't say what the points off were for) and another said she had 7 points removed for not doing the titles/subtitles correctly (after he told us AND showed us 2x!) :P oops.

Well, I really DO think you can do it, and you're amazing! But I wish you had help other than your neighbor. :( I'm constantly in awe of you, you know that!

I'm just overwhelmed and sick of everyone, I think. Like.. I just want to run away and leave my phone behind tbh. :P I guess I'd take Alex. Maybe even Isabelle and Lily.. but Lily is truly debateable.

Hmm. So you want to run away - from everyone except the people who LIVE in your house? Alex, Izzy and maybe Lily. Well girl, sounds more like you need to limit/step away from visits from the REST of everyone :P Which, is hard for you, I know. Because you've always had these family dinners and events and things. Which I love for you, but yes. Too much of everyone can be too much!! Especially if you are also overwhelmed with OTHER things (work, church, life...)

Take a mini YOU vacation somehow? Like, just disappear for a day for yourself, doing what YOU want? For me, I did that Sunday hahaha. I stayed tucked in my room, reading (for relaxation). I did NOT do any school work, or talk to anyone, or do anything I didnt want to do. Just fixed myself food and drink and slipped back into my room. AND YES - LEAVE THE PHONE IN ANOTHER ROOM that day!! :P Alex can answer it or people can leave voicemails. What would that be for you? Time for JUST yourself to do anything YOU want to do (or to do NOTHING?)

And thank you :blushes: My neighbor is a good supporter also. I just haven't had a lot of time to spend with her this semester. Between my stuff and her sister being over there a lot ... (I don't like to disturb them too much when they have family time, plus her sister has the beginnings of dementia and sometimes I feel like she's not quite comfortable with me being there, like she doesn't understand why I am there...)

[edit] Oct 11 430pm Just read Chapter 15 and took my quiz. FINALLY got a great grade (the others were good, not great haha). I think I only missed 1 question this time, out of 20 - seeing as I got a 95% :D Now I need to work on finding stupid evaluation forms, as my director only gave me one that she uses for her employees, and I have to have three (the instructor said we can use an internet search) as well as find forms for evaluating a program/center - forms for staff and forms for parents/stakeholders to evaluate that. such fun AND I need to work on my other projects as well, I have photos and notes still needing to be put together :P

Oh yeah, I FINALLY called the junk guy. Naturally, he can't come out this week while I'm on vacation eyeroll oh well. So I'm still planning on yanking everything but the appliances out of the back house and stick in in a space in the yard, kind of like in a pile but not really, and take a photo for him, he asked for that so he'd know what size trailer to bring DUDE I TOLD you I had about 6 appliances, 3 grills, two sofa-bed frames and lots of other random stuff - umm pretty sure you need your biggest trailer.

[edit] Thursday 645pm So I sent the guy the pictures I took (I'll upload to facebook later hahah) and asked when he might be able to come? He replied and said he'll try to come tomorrow afternoon :o If not, then Monday morning. Sooo not much more time to dig out all the small stuff - BUT we've got most of the big stuff out, except the appliances and two grills and a bike. Plus some other things I'm not sure he can/will take - like the folding chairs and card tables lol

ANYWAY I am SO glad I took that step and finally called the guy. I will be SO GLAD when all that junk is gone. And maybe I can keep up the motivation to continue cleaning in the back house!! With more space available!! I have two big shelving units back there, I'd like to get the JUNK off them, and put the things I'd like to KEEP on them (like chainsaw, tools, etc. not the fish tanks and random plant pots lol)

lol. There was no family, it was all church and music and christmas market stuff. I was just completely over everyone. Still am, mostly.

I work 6 hours a week at the church, but everyone is constantly texting me. I've askedmultiple times to be e-mailed instead of texted, and nothing. I'm going to start blocking people, instead :P

I had ... 6 grills. 3 washers. 1 fridge. 1 dishwasher, 1 microwave. WHERE ARE THE DRYERS? I asked Ryan. He says maybe they were still working and we gave them away? We did seem to go thru washers more than dryers. I do recall giving one to a neighbor when theirs died. The backhouse is going to be amazing looking (compared to before, and even to now) when I'm done tidying it up!

I have still been working on it, yesterday and today, so there is MORE in the pile now. Plan to get the swing, swing frame and the grill cover top that Nathan used as a wagon/hauling thing, and add them to the pile. I've set aside I don't know HOW MANY tool sets since Ryan said "DON'T get rid of any tools" even if they are rusted to heck and back? "NO!" ok then. I plan to see if I can remove the sliding glass doors and park my new riding mower in there. I'll have to find a way to block the door way - extra heavy duty tarp on nails or something? Not sure yet. But then my mower can be out of the yard too. Since there will be ROOM in the back house for it!

[edit] Sunday 440pm Whooo Go me. Just did the next quiz (taking it early, so I have less to do this upcoming BUSY freaking week) and got a 100 :D (I think I already mentioned I turned in several assignments early, if I didn't mention it, well I DID THAT TOO! I don't have anything due in that class now until Nov 9 lol AND I have several more assignments almost ready to be typed up and turned in too, go me!) So - Monday I have class with the supposedly "hard" teacher. Tuesday I have PreK training an hour drive away so I will be there instead of at work and am NOT going to the daycare. Wednesday I have IN PERSON class with the other teacher. Thursday I will have my dad visiting, so I am NOT going to the daycare. And Friday, well lets just say TGIF at that point eh? And I'll get back to my regularly scheduled life hahaha (or what life I have, this semester)

Tonight I'm going to the church to help decorate (and steal the printer to make some things for our trunk Sunday.. we're SO not ready!), and tomorrow is a competition day.. lots going on this week, playoff game Friday, then Saturday is basically an ALL day competition.. got to leave the house by 9? at the latest, and if we're very lucky we'll get home by 1am. But then we're DONE for the year! Marching band may do some pep band things for more playoff games but.. I'll be done, hopefully. Just two more home games to go (possibly? two more?)

I don't remember why we didn't have them remove the old appliances. The last time tho, was because we picked up the new ones ourselves, so the old ones all got tossed in the back house :P

I just completed my first assignment for my new (supposed to be hard) class. Hope I did ok. Guess I will see what she is like for grading after this assignment gets graded. She is the type that won't open the module ahead of time too so - yah :/ fun. I plan to meet with my "group" (hahah, me and my other henry campus person are a group) on Sunday for our "brainstorming" session and hope we can figure out exactly what we're supposed to put on it, because there is NOT a lot of detail given, except in the example, which we can't copy from and of COURSE our topic is the example topic and now even if we came up with the same idea on our own (I did and then looked and yeah...) we probably should NOT use anything on that example sigh

And then in my other class, I have to do another online module and discussion/response by Wed night. No biggie there. However, YIKES - he has only set up FOUR assignments (two discussions, 1 interview and one group lesson plan for austim. He has plans to go over how to do that later, and I'm sure that will be fine. I honestly don't think (based on last class) that I will do badly at all in this one, even with only FOUR assignments for the total grade :o
