EDIT 2: I am all done with all my quests. kumos and legacy both. I have also folded and hung up and put away all my laundry. I need to get the towels out of the dryer and fold them. I have the last dishes in the sink (except for two big skillets that I wash individually) AND I cleaned the middle room - litter changed, room swept, plus refilled the cat food container!

Today I have NOT done all my quests. Done all on Kumos, then on Legacy just did Shinwa / Wizard / Sagg / Quentin. I need to get to bed, so that's it for me. And I'm not as on top of my cleaning chores as you are Kat (yay for changing the litter!) but I had a nice shower and then a nice phone call :)

My kitty was named Luna when I adopted her, but I already had known a cat ages ago that was named Luna (back-in-the-day Luna was a small, mostly black cat, and full of energy!), so I renamed my current cat into Muna. Cats mostly listen to vowels so I figured as long as I didn't change those she'd be fine! Muna is less energetic, she does love play time but she's not running around that much. She likes to watch, and pounce only in select moments.

Muna means egg in Finnish, I've since learned, There's a band named MUNA (I have not listened to them). And my husband brought me home a book that had "Muna" as the title, too! I have not read that yet, according to the booklet it's not the fun kind of love story. Will be interesting how I feel about a character named after my beloved cat getting into trouble!

Back to Quentin quests, I feel like I'm missing something with these amulets he hands out sometimes. Can this be used for anything, other than putting it into the wardrobe? Why are they so expensive?

I figure if there's something I am missing, you two would know! 8D

Yes! You can turn them into the Mage for a chance at getting Tomes, which give stat boosts (or can be read as books, ofc!)

I.. made muffins and cookies, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned off the sink and bathtub and scrubbed the bathroom floor, took a bath.. and uh.. that's about it. A very lazy weekend.. and much needed, I think!

Yep. When I was new, I sold them for the sP. Now that my battle pet is high tier (he's a 12) I give them to the Mage in hopes of tomes. I am also still reading them to my pets as I didn't realize for years you could turn them in for books :P

I went and watched the Superbowl with my neighbor. I took cornbread over, since I'd already pulled out the pot roast to cook for dinner before she invited me. So I made it anyway and cornbread to go with it so Nathan would have dinner....and she cooked pigs in a blanket and chicken wings, so we had my cornbread with that for dinner at her house. I pretty much called Seattle winning as soon as the game started. She's a Patriots fan though LOL I mostly watch for the commercials more than anything!! I really enjoyed the Budweiser Clydesdale one!! The PEPSI polar bears was funny, and I enjoyed all the music commercials - the old songs!! Did someone decide this was the year for song commercials?

Kumos quests felt properly borked for me today, I quit almost all of them. I think I did a total of 5 or 6 quests, everything else was unreasonable. Alexander especially... what do you mean you need candles worth multiple millions? 😂

Still need to sit down and watch the Halftime show, just to see the spectacle. Heard good things, but forgot my headphones today so no listening in the office! Song commercials sound fun too!

Haven't felt much like one lately as it's always too cold when I get out of the shower and a bath would be colder to get out of lol Plus I really wish I had a bigger bathtub. I am seriously debating if/when I ever get around to fixing the foundation issue and thus all the other things, to get a new bigger tub instead of the same cheap style one. As the tub is something that will have to be replaced when fixing the foundation issues.

My bathtub is my favorite place in the entire house haha. I really try my best to take a bath on Wednesday afternoons (maybe not this week though, as I just scheduled Alex an eye exam...) and Saturday afternoons. My time haha.

Oh, in my head Everyone In the US would watch at least parts of it, but of course nobody is obliged! I did watch the halftime show and it was fun, the dancers did great. I love a good choreo and this was masterfully done, it looked like natural chaos but one could still tell it was hardcore rehearsed. And in the current climate of ICE the celebration of both North and South America felt like a powerful statement of hope.

Mmh maybe tomorrow I'll have a bath after work! We're renting, and the tub feels big enough for me. I'm not exactly tall though! Only reaching 5'4 (you have to wonder how I still manage to hit my head ahaha).

My neighbor didn't want to watch the halftime show - she put on that other music show - I saw a thing about it on facebook, how half the country tuned into Kid Rock singing instead of watching the half time show. I would have watched the halftime show myself.

Yes - sadly. My foundation has been sinking on one side of the house for quite a few years, its only recently gotten bad except for in one bedroom, its been really bad there (or maybe just more noticable there before now). Anyway, to stabilize just the foundation I've been quoted 25k. And then after that, I'd need to relevel the floor along that whole side of the house - which means I'd need new flooring (and I would redo ALL the flooring, as its all 20+ years old now) and then new baseboards, possibly some drywall fixes, and a new bathtub in my bathroom as its on that side of the house, oh and new kitchen cabinets - because the bottom ones would have to be pulled out to relevel the floor and redo the flooring, and if I had to put in new bottom cabinets I would PREFER the top to match, but at the very least, new bottom ones. sigh Way too much to deal with right now.

The really weird thing? NONE of the walls or windows seem really damaged, and the guy who came out to give the estimate to stabilize the foundation was quite surprised by that fact....

And even once all that work is done, can anybody guarantee that the foundation won't be sinking further years down the line again...? I grew up on a steep hillside, so there's a deep fear of things sliding instilled in me. Foundation issues are super intimidating!

Is either of you battling? The retired enemies are cool, but I've seen how many wins it takes for certain drops, and that's a grind and a half. The same enemy 2000 times? Whew! I don't think I'm there yet, my battle pet Malaise is still a kitten at Tier 2 :D

Yes. The stabilization would be guarantee no more sinking. They drill pillars into bedrock and the pillars support the foundation and keep it from sinking any more. With a guarantee. Which is why it costs so much. Now, perhaps the OTHER part of the foundation might sink, but not that part. I am wondering if that part of the foundation was too far into the slope? Its not really a slope, but further out in the yard it DOES slope down a lot, so maybe its a very very small slope that caused the whole issue, instead of building on complete level ground? I have no real idea. The house was built in 2003, and I've been the only one ever to live here. I first noticed the sinking in the bedroom under the window in ... 2011 ish? Yes. Bad me to ignore it for so long but I thought the carpet padding collapsed and it wasnt until it spread like 5-8 years later, more noticably into the 2nd bedroom, and the kitchen counters (i noticed liquid would slide very slowly towards the back wall) that I got the people to come look at it. And who has 25k?? Not me!! So its been a few years since that quote obviously and now to me at least, its noticable all the way across the whole side of the house - people who don't live here don't notice it as much unless they go into the bedroom.

drills will survive LOL yay for getting all your quests done. I do battle. So far I've done 1 throwback challenger each day, so I'm still on the easy ones. I don't normally go past 25 or 50 battles per challenger unless I'm bored out of my mind with nothing to do. I am a knock them out battler - if I can't win in like 3 rounds, I don't want to fight them LOL

I will say, I'm surprised that the ... alternative, as we'll say, managed to draw in 6.1m viewers. Though the halftime show drew in 135m (I took their highest numbers vs the halftimes lowest).

But.. I'm glad, mostly, that people don't seem to be as awful as I think. Just louder. Which... that's OK, people can be louder haha. It's a good reminder for me, though, that.. that's all it is in most cases?

I only do 10 wins per challenger.. except the mini gelatin, but he'll be back! That's a long term goal honestly haha.

GUYS LILY GOT INTO HER FIRST CHOICE COLLEGE. And when I texted her to look at her email because I got the "you're invited to admitted students day!" e-mail (which is on a FRIDAY at 9am btw? WTF?).

And she just sent me the email for this one, they'll give her $23k a year plus $3k a year for dorming and another $500 a year for an alumni referral. So either will cost about the same out of pocket, depending on what she chooses.

And then she texted ME that she ALSO got accepted into another college with a $38k a year deans list scholarship. Which is very exciting! (But only half the cost per year soooo...)

WHooooooo GO LILY!!! That is so AWESOME!!!

I know! AHHHH I'm so excited for her!

Now to see the few others she applied to and see how much everyone offers her... and then I guess we'll see what she ends up doing.

Good morning from Europe to all, I had a better night's sleep last night than the night before. It's nice not feeling like a zombie when I get up in the morning, so enjoying that currently. On the way to work, will squeeze in some quests before the office haha.

The mini gelatin will be back for sure? That's interesting, good to know! I'll try to get as many wins in as I can until they're gone then. Knock them out is a good strategy, Kat - the battle system is not so fun that I wanna spend 5-10 rounds beating an enemy either.

The best thing for leveling up, is battle quests. Especially after you are up a few tiers and have battled the easy opponents. Gelatins come back periodically, with their battle numbers dropped back to 0 (so if you fight them 10x this time, when they come again its 0 fights again, and you get all the benefits of fighting again). All event challengers are like that. Makes for good xp!! Unfortunatly at my tier, and the strong challengers I can't beat, knock them out doesn't work. I have to learn strategy if I want to win against them now. Not something I'm very into at the moment, but maybe one day. I'd have to learn the best weapons to use against them, the best scrolls, the best attack plans, etc. So I'm kind of stuck where I am, slowly leveling up to Tier 13...and slowly to a capped pet. (Need to look into that, when I will be capped and can't get stronger).

A good nights sleep is nice!! I tossed and turned a little but overall slept pretty good and didn't get up until just before 6! So kind of - for me - slept in a LITTLE lol Normally I wake up around 5.

[edit] 420pm Ok guys. Just submitted my applictaion to GSCS (my school system) for becoming a PreK lead teacher! Have been recommended to apply to Lamar county, and maybe Henry or Butts as well (but not Pike I was told as they don't do some sort of something financial the other counties do)....shrugs I am not sure about applying to those other counties. Longer drive to/from work - and fewer schools. Except Henry. They are bigger. I didn't realize HOW much bigger. I just searched, they have 29 elementary schools in Henry County :o 8 of which are fairly close to me, at least as close as those other counties schools. (Lamar and Pike each has 1 primary (early elementary) and 1 elementary (higher elementary) -PreK would be in the primary school. Butts has 3 Elementary schools.

Yes, the gellies will definitely be back! ... but it may be a few years. But that's OK! I think it took me 4 or 5 rounds of gellies to beat them, and I ended up doing 1k of them the last time haha.

AND Lily just got ANOTHER offer, honors program and $28k a year (which basically brings the cost of everything to about.. the same really :P).

I think I'm coming down with a cold :( First I thought maybe the air in here was just really dry because of the heat (well, OK, it is) but I've got a really slight fever and my nose is a bit stuffy/runny now. My throat hurt like.. stabby hurt? this morning when I first woke up but that mostly has gone. Either way, I just took some tylenol and some of the.. go away faster cold stuff.. in the hopes that it won't settle in for the long haul :(
