On another bright note, I just ordered the last of the Christmas presents for the kids, so hopefully all will arrive before Christmas and it'll all be wrapped and under the tree. Realized I needed another item or two for Shane and one more for Wes (tho honestly some of his stuff is also for Katie and viceversa tho I tried to keep them separate!) I also have all the stuff for their stockings. SO GO ME!!!! I'm on a roll. Because I did the secret santa at work again this year (12 days of small gifts) and I've already gotten ALL of those, packaged them up and am done with that too LOL

Of course - I bought nothing for Anna, since Shane and her broke up - so now what do I do if they get back together? I spent the $ I'd saved to buy HER gifts on groceries since I THOUGHT I wasn't going to have to buy her gifts. sigh I"ll figure something out IF I end up needing to buy her things I guess. Tho honestly at this point I just REALLY don't want to deal with her at all. (OR him although, well I WILL deal with him).

Anna doesnt' need a gift, she's nothing, currently. Don't worry about it. If she shows up, grab some cookies off the counter and put them in a tupperware. Not a name brand one, though :P Maybe a ziploc haha.

I clocked it today, I spent 27 hours at the market this weekend, between Friday-Sunday haha. Had to go grocery shopping after work and I was NOT pleased.. but made it! Then I got home and fell asleep sitting up under a blanket while Alex was making pierogis for the marching band potluck.

BUT! Izy got outstanding 7th grader, and Lily got outstanding percussionist and outstanding 12th grader!

Hahah yea, I was kind of thinking that kind of thing myself. Cookies or some random things I've got in the closet that I got as gifts that I won't really use can be re-used to gift her something IF she shows up.

I mean, the girl never even bothered to knock on my door to let me know she dropped stuff off. Sheesh. Not like HE was here either - so she COULD have chosen to be polite to ME when dropping things off. Oh well.

Man thats a lot of hours out in the cold!! I fall asleep a lot once I curl up under a blanket too heheheh!!

ANYWAY CLASS IS OVER!! It ended at 830 and I spent the last 30mins writing up the "reflection response" - on which we had to include some various info from several of the OTHER groups presentations sigh Its DONE tho. However, this annoying teacher still needs to grade ONE old assignment, and now THREE more assignments between last week and this one. She SAYS she'll have it all done before Friday, so that we can submit the IEP to anthology (the main thing we HAVE to have to get our certification!!) Class on Wednesday for the autism class (which will be an hour/two tops, with really just him talking to us about whatever topic is left to discuss). And I have NO IDEA if the third teacher is going to do another zoom? She was supposed to, but here it is the last week of classes.....eh. If she schedules one, I'll jump on. Not like I have anything else to do in the evenings now!

[EDIT] Does anyone NEED the fairies?? I've been donating them, but I can save them and send them to you if you need fairies for the achievements!! (Release, one of each color, whatever the other ones are)

[edit] 430pm Dec 11th Wow Go Me!! 31/32 points for that stupid IEP. She did give several corrections (even tho I only missed 1 point in ONE section, she gave feedback in two/three other areas). So I sent her an email with some fixes to those areas. See if she responds. :P If not I will just add them anyway and then turn it in and hope for the best. One area tho I guess I will have to talk to the SLP and I WISH she had responded about that before, because if that lady doesn't have time tomorrow to help, then nothing changes in that section :P (She still hasn't graded 3 other assignments, including the OLD one and the final group project).

I was just on the phone with DECAL (scholarship program). For some reason, when I did my application, and I tried to do the ACH (electronic deposit of funds) it showed SOMEONE ELSE'S INFO!! And it was showing 13000 for fall scholarship - which the school only gets $2495 or something, not 13000!! I contacted customer support with them to figure it out. Especially since earlier this fall I got an extra $500 stipend deposited and they contacted me to get it sent back, so maybe that is connected somehow?? Like, this other persons information that was on MY ACH choice, maybe THEY got more $ or their $ was added to mine? Either way, that needs to be fixed because I don't want it reporting that I got more than I did!!

Edit: 855am Saturday - just thought I'd tell you I finally finished off the scratchcards you gave me! Thanks again!! I did forget about them a few times and bought some while doing drills lol

I always had that one project that wasn't graded until the last second. It drove me nuts because I wanted to know before I went on vacation how well I'd done. :)

- exactly!! I want to know my final grade, BEFORE I can't view it anymore :P But at least I did finally figure out how to find my grades for each semester, so I'll know that, even if I don't know the grade of the final assignments.

Oh you and me both Kat! I get so nervous-I want to see if I can start the degree with a 4.0 because that would be so cool! I didn't come anywhere near as close. I'm sure you did amazing :D You're soooo close! :D

- My school had that also, where you could see your final grade after the class ended but not the individual assignment grades and it drove me nuts. It's like we're supposed to have the lesson done by a certain time, the teachers should have them graded before the class ends. rolls eyes

- yep. So annoying. Last night was the last night to turn anything in (although everything was due before that, so... I dunno why everything isn't graded!!)

- Beth, I sent more fairies this morning!! :) I'm not sure what my GPA is but I bet its close to the 4.0 now - my VERY first classes I didn't do good in (Back in 1995 I think I got a B and two Cs or it was the other way Two Bs and a C) LOL And I did one class in oooh um maybe 2021-22 whenever I first started? That I got a B in (economics, ugh). Everything else has been an A!! I've been amazed at myself. Which is one reason I've struggled so much this one class, because I guess it kind of freaked me out that I might not get an A this time? LOL But I have. Again. After stressing that I wouldn't :P Figures. At least, I have SO FAR - since two things are STILL NOT GRADED in that class :P I don't see me getting bad grades on them tho. One was a child observation, the other the final (group) project.

[edit] 420 pm Just checked my classes, all grades are in. Phew. Did good. Missed 4 points off the final project (21/25) and full points on the other to assignments that needed to be graded. :D GO ME

- Congratxs on acing the classes! I knew you would. Does your school have grade forgiveness? Mine did. If you got a bad grade, say a C, and it was pulling your GPA down they would forgive it. It still stood as the grade for thaat class, they just didn't figure it in your GPA. They did this for only one grade, though, so you couldn't ask for forgiveness more then once. It was a nice practice to help those that struggled early on. :D

Thanks!! That is a really nice thing for the school to do. I do not know if this school would or not. But they probably would not excuse my low grades, since they were received at another school altogether anyway. They transferred them in. I am not really worried about it anyway. If I don't have a 4.0 GPA I don't really care. I just want an A I guess LOL I have no idea what honors or anything I would even qualify for (if any) because I have not paid any attention to any of that. I do know I've been on the Presidents list (dunno if that is the same as or better than the Deans list?) for all my As since I started at Mercer.

- I would think the president's list is better then the dean's because isn't the president the highest rank in the school? Hey, an A is really good, even if it isn't a 4.0. It still shows you have mastered the cirriculum and would be a fvery good hire. In this job market, every bit helps, ya know? :D

Congrats on doing so well! It's so easy when it's something you enjoy, right? That's how I feel about social work :D I'm so happy the semester went well, but I wouldn't expect less from you! Is an A+ possible in courses, or is your university A as the highest as well? (Just for my own curiosity!)

If it weren't for the few psychology Cs I got (tests are the bane of my existence) I could've gotten closer to a 4.0. 3.49 is what I ended up on-close to the cum laude. It's something like 3.5-3.7 cum laude, 3.7-3.9 magna cum laude, and 3.9+ suma cum laude. I don't think they do it for graduates though, but I could be wrong.

- I guess my issue is I don't know if there is a Dean AND a President at the school? LOL So if its one or the other, they'd be the same rank. If its both, then one would be higher. I don't know if the people hiring look at our grades tho? I've already worked for the system for 10 years, so I would say I've got a good record anyway with them lol But now, with a better degree and ability to get a better job.

Beth - I don't think A+ is possible. I could be wrong, I would have to go see. I do know they have B+, C+ though because I thought it was stupid that an A was 93-100 and a B+ was 90-92. Because to me, 90+ is an A :P But eh, whatever, use your random grading scale however you want, I got an A regardless :P

By graduates, what do you mean? I know at Katies graduation for her bachelors degree in art, they were calling out those terms (her college is like mine, has lots of different "areas' or "Schools" all contained in one system), but I've never really known what they are other than "honors" for high grades. (Like what level was what, like you just described). I would assume that if I was going to get any of that kind of thing, they would have to let me know?? I wouldn't just randomly know it on my own.

Ok now I've gotten curious so I've been browsing my school student portal. I do not think this is up to date, however it DOES have all my transfer credits listed so - It said my "old Hope grade point average" Cumulative GPA was 3.846. And then it said like four other things, that all listed the SAME classes and ended with "NEW Hope grade point average" which all listed 4.0 Sooo maybe because of my lower grades way early on I had a3.8 (it was a C and two B's at my first college - then 1 more B and As at the second college, and then all As at the third colleges) and now since I've had all As I've gotten a 4.0 and I guess if you add them together you get my actual GPA? NO IDEA!! :P Can't figure it out. Because ever since I've been at Mercer I've had all As, which would be the 4.0 GPA (my grades page does show that, by each semester, 4.0 GPA)

- I don't even know how to tell you to check. I don't know where you'd find that info. At my school they had a faculty page where the president was listed. But, we didn't have Deans. We had "Heads of such and such program" instead. I have no idea how they figured out the gpa. It confused me then, it still confuses me. I did get honors in two of my classes, the first in my Science Fiction and Fantasy class, and the second in my Young Adult and Children's fiction class. I didn't know about either until I graduated and they sent my diploma with the two extra honor's certificates. Are you going to go to the actual graduation? I couldn't go to mine because Ilive in virginia and my school was in Florida. No money left over to go. :/

Oh by graduates I meant I'm a graduate student now, so I wondered if my grades worked differently (not the grading but the GPA and such) And honors recognition for getting higher grades is different for us here in my Master's program. We don't have the Latin honors.

You are doing so well it looks like :D Yeah that is weird! 90-93 (or 94?) is an A- for us here. But we ARE in completely different states! And I bet you would know if you got in that grade range to get the tassel relating to each Latin honor.

I was seriously thinking not. But my dad and my daughter both want me to walk...and I didn't walk for my associates. So, I figured, well why not. Even though I'll be graduating a month after my daughters wedding (well, a month or so, she's getting married on April 10 and I'm not sure yet when graduation will be but late May or early June I guess). And it IS local to me. I mean, probably will be in Macon or maybe in Atlanta (those are the two major campus sites with a small possibility of the Tift campus as the education program is from TIft and thats in Forsyth....) another one of those things I guess I'll find out this semester. I did say at the beginning of last semester that I was interested in walking.

Oh so graduate, like getting a masters/specialists degree, vs undergraduate, like me, getting a bachelors gotcha. All I know is they have NOT given me any info on any special specific honors or anything but maybe they won't until closer to graduation? Or maybe I'm not eligible even with my all As :P lol I have no clue.

- I think you'll enjoy walking. It's a celebration of all you've accomplished these past years. :) I find it interesting how universities and colleges are so different but still the same. :D
