Battle Quests is a great tip! I have discovered the battle quests, but usually stop after the first five. It does make leveling up a lot faster! And one day I'll get to 2500 wins on Gelatin, but not this time. There's technically a lot of time left but I'm already feeling like I'm starting to hit a wall there, because we just don't hit that hard yet! Excited to get to "almost capped", right now it feels unimaginable. What DOES one do with a capped pet? The battle forums probably have tips for that!

Yeah, I worked both jobs today, but now I ate an uncrustable for dinner because I am an adult.. and I think Alex is getting a cold, too, so he's tired haha.

Lucky me, I get to get on zoom soon for class. Yay. Just finished listening to my 2 recordings of my lesson plan activity for the past two days and recording the results. And tomorrow my university supervisor is coming to observe me in the classroom, so she'll get to see that lesson in person, as well as me doing calendar activities, small groups and a bit of centers before she leaves.

Meh. I enjoy it as much as I can. Its over now. It was decent. However she reminded us to start working on our two BIG assignments and oops. I haven't even looked at them since the first day. Oh well. I will be FINE because I have all of next week to work on them all day long, since I'm on break. This class will be OVER by the end of Feb. Then I can focus on only the student teaching class yay! :P That will make THAT much easier, although over half the hard stuff has had to be done during this first 8 weeks. Its ok. None of it was terribly hard, just more, annoying hard if you know what I mean.

Sometimes I wonder what I will do with myself when college is done lol

[edit] 945 Ok. I worked on my lesson plans more. I wanted to have at least the very first week COMPLETELY finished, so I can show my professor tomorrow. I have all the GELDS and activities, songs, etc now. Except ONE. A phonological awareness activity. I only have "K activity" written in hahah. I'm sure I can find something more appropriate and put in gelds for it. My lead teacher looked over that week, plus all the notes I'd made to correct stuff and was fine with it as it was :P She's very fly by the seat of her pants. Drives me nuts. I like to have things set up and ready to go. Doesn't mean I CAN'T fly by the seat of my pants, but I prefer not to!! :P

Kat you sound like a hard worker from what you're detailing here. Well organised and conscientious! I'm sure you'll rock the end of college. And it's always strange when something that fills up so much of your time and mind suddenly is DONE! What do you like to do outside of work? Are there any hobbies you're neglecting being as busy as you are?

My Kumos quests were nice to me today. Only quit two of them. And the bathhouse gave me 40 CSC! I'm saving up for an outfit trunk in the cash shop and that brought me a lot closer to getting it. There's so many cool trunks in there... I've seen that for some, it's worth it to purchase pieces individually for sP instead though, and of course I need to decide where I want the whole trunk vs just some pieces as well. Decisions, decisions!

I truly do love the Subeta wardrobe. I vowed to not buy any new clothes this year, so I'm scratching the new clothes itch through getting accessories on here. I think I love clothes a little too much! Or maybe that's just the fast fashion world getting to me, there's always new cute things one can get and it's constantly advertised... so it makes sense. But my physical wardrobe is FULL haha :D and I also have an impressive earring collection! I have wondered the other day if "no new clothes" should or should not extend to earrings. Not decided yet, but also haven't bought any earrings yet this year...

Yeesss, I do my best to be organized and work hard on my stuff. I like to complete things EARLY, not barely on time or gasp late!! For fun? Free time? What's that? lol No - I do have that sometimes. I live on here of course :P Subeta is my fun place. But I also read on my kindle (as I've already read every physical book I own, plus everything I could borrow not only from my library but the entire state-wide library system that I was interested in)....and I enjoy going to Renaissance Fairs...ours happens in the Spring, but the past two years they've also hosted a smaller Fall Fling... Sadly, this spring I won't be able to go, between Katies wedding, my graduation and just plain old short on funds anyway .... well that's ok. There is always fall or next year. I also enjoy playing board games and card games - I mostly do that with my neighbor, who is my friend :)The one I watched the Superbowl with.

I love CSC from the bathhouse. But I am so glad I managed the achievement and don't have to worry if I miss a day. (I'll miss the bigger rewards if I don't make it through a month, but since they reset after 30 days, I'm happy if I get that far now). Hmm earrings. Technically they are jewelry...but they are wearable. Maybe only get them for a special occasion, like birthday or holiday or anniversary rather than just because...that way you've stuck to your no new clothing rule, but allowed yourself to buy something wearable, but its jewelry for a special event. (Better yet, get hubby to buy it for you, then YOU didn't buy it).

[edit] 617 am Just finished kumos. Had to quit 5 - 2 Saggi and 3 Rumi. Too expensive. At least I didn't get asked for the Starlight Telescope this time :P On to legacy quests. Yesterday I did not do ANY kumos, and barely any legacy. Too much else going on for college after work.

Thank you Kat, I like those ideas a lot :D I think I'll go with "have husband buy them for me", he's interchangeably sometimes an enabler and other times really critical for fashion choices / the purchase of earrings, so that is an interesting gamble, and I think I won't be tempted buying earrings online. Much more dangerous is the artist alley at a convention... cute selfmade earrings everywhere! And then I'll have him with me to be critical or encouraging, depending, haha.

Ren Fair sounds like fun too! Do you dress up for it? I always liked the dramatic old-fashioned skirts and steampunk vibes of these events, so if I was to try put something together I'd try to go that route.

Board games and card games are nice too! We have a little board game collection in our living room, but it's more my husbands than mine. I do like a lot of puzzle and card games, but I mostly play online - computer or phone! My mahjong app for example sees a lot of use, although a little less now that I have this Subeta addiction... it sucked me right in so quickly, but it's all good, I'm having fun :)

I would say earrings should totally fall under your no-buy, but I could also see how you could argue that they didn't haha.

That's a pity you don't get to play board and card games much. Sometimes it helps to just bring one out, if people are around? On my own devices, I don't often think "let's play a game together", but when it's suggested I'm usually all in! So if the people around you feel similarly, might be worth a try.

Tomorrow I'll be out most of the day, we're going to carneval - the local equivalent of Mardi Gras! It'll be rainy and cold, and I'll be dressed as a lil garden gnome. Red pointy hat included. Like this little one, but minus the beard:

I definitely am getting a cold, and I am miserable about it LOL. However, taking Alex to get his glasses (and pick up some tater tots for the freezer. Sometimes, a gal just wants tater tots!) and we're going to get some dinner while we're out.. so that's exciting! We almost never eat out.. actually, the last time WE got food out (that wasn't with his parents over Christmas) was on my birthday.. the beginning of October!

I aaahhhh, have a Monopoly addiction. I own like, I dunno. 10 versions now? And want several more hahah! But I love any board game and am happy playing most card games. IT was my christmas gift from her because she loves card games and I love Monopoly lol (Monopoly Deal is the name of the game)

They have a hairbraiding shop at the Faire - and its always my first stop. Sometimes I get white roses. I always try to match the corset or the skirt. Nathan got his hair braided for the first time this past fall. He got a viking 5 strand braid. I loved it. (He is 19 and his hair is longer than mine Lol)

I don't know what I'm doing for supper. I'm tired of cooking but can't afford to eat out. probably a frozen dinner or ramen, something quick and easy :P The chicken I pulled out is still frozen, so that will be tomorrow's dinner I guess.

I just hate how Monopoly makes you feel bad even if you win LOL.

Dinner out WAS expensive, at least it's been 4 months since we've eaten out at all but like. Eesh!

I do have food for Friday when there's no school though, so that's nice! And it was yummy, so I'm happy about it all haha.

Guess it's just personal experience. I've never felt bad for winning or for losing. But I do admit I've had a weird relationship with playing the game hahah. Me and my younger brother would play just to see how LONG we could play for. No buying hotels. No trying to bankrupt each other. We'd leave the board set up for WEEKS, and continue playing. We split the properties; I'd buy one brown/blue so would he. I'd buy pale blue, orange, yellow, he would buy pink, red, green. We'd each get two railroads and one utility. And we'd just PLAY. My neighbors favorite more regular Monopoly is my Mario Gamer Monopoly. Maybe you could try that one? It ENDS and you have "boss battles". I will admit we changed some of the "prizes" because they didn't make sense for two player games lol House Rules you know! :P But she REALLY likes the Monopoly Deal.

It really is too expensive to eat out. I wish I could more often than I do, mainly because I am lazy. But when I ate out more often, I got TIRED of eating take out, and heaven forbid getting real restaurant food, thats even worse! :P I ... have some food ... for next week. While we are on break :P I probably should grab a few more things this weekend for use during the week, since I'll need lunch all week at home as well as dinners.

We went to Texas Roadhouse, I will say, I got a 12 oz ribeye, a good sized salad, and a baked potato (plus those ROLLS! omg) for $23, which really isn't bad since the steak itself is about $15-18 at the store now haha.

But it still all adds up!

Also a big yikes.. $442 for Alexs glasses! Well, $70 was the eye exam, but still. YIKES. At least his boss will reimburse him for all but the exam, since they're also his safety glasses for work. :/

We have Friday and Monday off, so that'll be nice! Friday I'm going in with my friend for a bit to put the order away, and then I'm taking Jolie out to get her nails done and maybe to pick up some clothes for her son, depending on where that is. I'm just the driver of the hobbly one stuck on her crutches haha.

Ooh Texas Roadhouse is yum. And yea, the steaks are outrageous in the stores now. All beef is. I currently have a lot of chicken and pork in the freezer.

And yeah, it IS yum! But yeesh on the prices at the store even, yesssss. We eat a LOT of chicken.. and most of it is like, chicken IN things, so just one chicken breast for the four of us plus Alex's lunch haha. Which is much more do-able!
