Oh your inlaws are moving too? Goodness a lot of moving around over there!!
I don't know what it would cost to get someone to come do it, but since I have an acre, and its hard to tell where the property lines are, it'd be a pain and probably cost more than I want to pay anyway. I know Shane charged more than I wanted to pay for SMALL yards he was PUSHMOWING :P I will probably take Ryan up on the offer for the zero turn, since I can pay practically nothing a month (he said whatever amount I choose and as often as I choose - not that I would take advantage of that, but I don't have much choice right now to pay very much)
The dogs are ok for the most part. Daisy gets excited and wants to play but Belle doesn't so then we get a lot of barking growling and banging around as Belle tries to avoid Daisy and Daisy tries to get Belle to play. When Daisy gets too much like that I put one of them outside for a while.
I went to the Dr after work, got a steroid shot and I think antibiotic shot, as well as antibiotic prescription and cough syrup. I have no idea why the paperwork says "chest/nasal congestion" when I NEVER said I was congested, I only talked about coughing and I have a sore throat today. But whatever. Usually what they gave me is what they give me for upper respiratory and thats probably what I have again anyway. Also my zoom class got canceled, she wants us to do asynchrounous work and we will do the zoom meeting next week instead of async then. Also my project group wanted to do a zoom meeting tomorrow, but we moved it to today since we don't have class now. So that is at 7. Hope I can talk enough to them hahah. I have been able to talk but my voice is so wonky right now.
Yeah, they're moving. That's why Akira and El are moving, because Akira needed a new place to live and this worked out well for the two of them.
That also means my BiL is moving with my favoritest doggy, Buddy. :(
Oh no, glad you got to the doctors, hopefully your voice starts working better soon!
Well I hope everyone ends up happy in their new homes. El, KK, and the inlaws! :)
It is amazing how well a steroid shot works :P I already feel loads better, although my voice is still wonky.
Aww sad for moving Buddy away from you, will you still get to see him sometimes?
We decided roles and (naturally) NO ONE else had even looked at (let alone printed like I did) the documents to help with this assignment eyeroll Anyway. So we talked about the roles, added a role, decided who was what role, opened a group document, and now we're all supposed to look at the "practice script" that is online and try to follow it and input our script words we want to follow based on OUR IEP fake child. Then meet up on Thursday at 7 again, and look over what everyones put in, finalize the "script" and then meet again on Sunday sometime to record it. I got the role I wanted but I didn't PICK it :P I told them I'd do whatever, to choose what they wanted - so they all started picking roles and left the "narrator" role, which I had to explain to them what the narrator does (really? WHY did I have to explain what a narrator is to a bunch of adults?) and anyway I am the narrator, so I will "open" the zoom meeting and "set the scene" and then "close" the zoom meeting with a recap of what happened. And maybe speak once or twice in the IEP meeting, if we decide to do it like that (kind of a pause in the conversation, I put in a little blurb and then the conversation moves on or something, depends on what everyone thinks)
The reason I eyerolled is because literally ALL of the info we need is given to us, and they were all like, oh well we need to decide what type of behavior she's having, what type of interventions we're doing and I'm like - NO!? Its literally all there for us, we just have to role play the IEP meeting, we can change and adjust some stuff to fit OUR characters since we had to add a character, but literally, just go with the flow on whats there for us!! But since no one had looked, no one had realized that. Hopefully they all go LOOK and READ the info now sigh
[edit] Thursday 850pm Ok LONG zoom meeting later (and mostly because these people like to TALK) we have our script organized, it reads fairly well, and we added some fun bits (Like, I am going to be the child and all excited to see my teacher, as well as being the "narrator"). We all think we did pretty good on making it flow and meld together, and we are going to record on Sunday night. Then I have a couple days to write the reflection paper if I don't do that over the weekend I've got tons of notes I need to organize, for several different assignments. I feel all over the place but I'm trying to actually DO something instead of sitting on my butt at the center, so I look ahead and do whatever I can take notes on - and now I have to go put it all ONLINE since its all hand-written notes in a spiral notebook or on my assignment printouts :P GAH SO MUCH TO DO
Well, better to have people who want to talk than people who are completely uninterested?
Also, ugh. I don't mind taking notes, but I HATE typing them up after LOL. Like.. I wish I could just feed them into something and have it type them up for me.. but nicer :P
IDK I'm sure probably occasionally but I can't imagine too often. Everyone is just so busy!
I am so tired of gnats. I have big gnats and little gnats all over my house. I have no idea why. I have no fruit sitting out. I keep the litter box clean. There are more big ones in my bedroom and more small ones in the kitchen. I am debating the vinegar trap thing, but I'm not sure it ever really works anyway. I don't know what else to do because I don't want to go around spraying flying inssect spray all over my stuff because I can't directly spray itty bitty gnats easily :P
I am one of those that doesn't talk as much, mostly because (shocking I know) I am not a big talker. I am GREAT at typing hahaha but don't ask me to talk out loud. I prefer not to, I also hate interupting someone else, so if THEY are talking, I am NOT.
Everyone is always crazy busy. Especially as they get older it seems :( I feel like I never see my older two kids (Not that I am being mean but I don't really want to see Shane anyway right now due to all that drama but I do like seeing him and just don't very often). I'll see Katie on her birthday weekend, thats probably the next time I'll see her before Christmas and I'll see her at Christmas of course. And I rarely (once/twice a year) see anyone else from my family...so yeah. There is that.
I have typed up and turned in two assignments. I printed out all the powerpoints for the chapters for one class (no idea why I haven't done that yet, I usually do it right away lol) and need to organize and type up other notes next. And then see what else I can work on over the weekend.
I ordered a little heat lamp thing, it's marketed for fleas but I caught SO. MANY. GNATS. It was incredible. You plug it in for like 12 hours, I did overnight. The heat and the smell of the sticky mat call them in!
Yeah, it's really hard as everyone gets older! We all see each other fairly often now, but I can't imagine we will when his parents leave. Because like.. why? LOL
How far away are they moving? Like, some people just move across town, or to a nearby town, others relocate to Florida to retire, if you know what I mean LOL
I put the dogs up between 8 & 9, fell asleep between 9 & 10, woke up after 10 when I heard Nathan rummaging around in his room after he got home, and fell back asleep. Woke up just before 5. Laid in bed until 6 LOL I am so tired still. Just worn out. I so need to do chores. My bedroom is a disaster of things tossed everywhere (shoes, classwork, clothing, bits of trash)...it needs to be vacuumed, especially since I now have the cat food bowl and the litter box in my bedroom to keep them away from the damn dog, because Daisy learned she can push the couch side table and get to the litter box - PLUS the cat was to scared to go out into the LR with Daisy out there (she's not afraid of Belle anymore, because Belle doesn't chase her anymore but Daisy does)....and I had poop in my room two days in a row. UGH
I am pretty sure Nathan has not vacuumed the LR in like two weeks either eyeroll He said he would do it at least once a week, the floor AND the couches. I did dishes last night, but still need to wash pots & pans. I need to go shopping too, I started my list last night. Its still not a lot needed, but more than last week :P
Hmm I am interested in the little heat lamp thing, I will check the flea isle and see what they have, but I have never heard of a lamp - sounds smart, I did put a window sticky fly trap by my lamp in my bedroom on the wall, but it doesn't work too well - the ones in the kitchen window catch a lot of gnats and flies too.
Cam will be about an hour away (but he's been driving that way 5 times a week for the past year!), El and Akira are about 40 minutes away at Ashleys. We'll see them a good amount still :P
Oh my goodness, I took a 15 minute nap on the coach around 8pm last night (on accident), went to sleep at 9 and slept straight through until 7!
I went shopping this morning, but I really need to do some baking. I'm constantly annoyed that even the bad grocery store stuff is so expensive now. Like, I didn't mind that they weren't very good when they were like $3, but now they're like $7-8! So I'm going to make two double batches of cookie dough and freeze it so I can just bake them. And then I'm making two pumpkin rolls because they'll last a while in the fridge (Well.. they would if we didn't just EAT them so fast!) and I'm going to make some cinnamon rolls because.. I want them :P And maybe some banana brownies with brown butter frosting but.. we'll see haha. I may have to do it tomorrow though.
So I went shopping this morning, been home for about half an hour and now I'm taking Izy to the pumpkin patch for youth group, leaving her with her friend to have a sleepover, coming home to make a card and going to a friends 50th birthday at a brewery (I don't even like beer!)
I definitely have to bake though. And CLEAN. Our house.. ugh. I agree.
I got them from Amazon, it was 2 of them for like $7. A good buy!
Mmm cinnamon rolls. I want some. I made and froze some cookie dough a while ago, but when I made the cookies, I baked the little balls frozen and they didn't really flatten out into proper cookies (very poofy instead of spread out thinner) - they still tasted good lol maybe I should let the dough thaw before baking it next time? :P I don't normally freeze dough, but I didn't want to bake all of it and I didn't want to waste it either...so I tried freezing dough balls. I've thought about making some bread or yeast rolls this weekend. Not sure if I'll get around to it. I've had a headache all day today. But I did accomplish some more school work (turned in two more assignments) and organized all my notes, put all my stuff into my binder properly. I also picked up my bedroom and vacuumed the floor and took all the trash out of my bedroom and bathroom. So I have accomplished stuff even with the headache.
Can you send me a link over facebook messenger? I didnt see anything in the store but saw some for sale online at walmart (you know, thats my go-to place) but they were more than that AND wouldn't ship forever!!
Yeah, I normally take them out and thaw them. I know they say you can bake from frozen but.. I've never had it work out well for me?
I know, I really want to but like.. WHEN am I supposed to do this?! LOL
Yeah, I'll send you the link! Thankfully they didn't get many fleas, but it turns out it was the gnats that were bothering me, anyway!
Good job on getting stuff done. Ugh, I really need to do things. There needs to be another day in the weekend where it's illegal to leave your house LOL.
My group project recording got pushed back. I'm not sure if we're doing it tonight after class (depends on what time class gets over) or tomorrow evening, after 7pm. One girl had family or something and wasn't going to be done with them by 7 last night, she texted around 4 to see if we could change days to record. Most of us replied we were ok with that (one person never replied). But then when we were discussing Tuesday, another girl remembered she has to work late due to curriculum night at her work - and won't be done until like 645. I have no idea how long it takes her to get home so someone else suggested just doing it after class today if class ends early enough.... I'm not sure who is in person today (Douglas location but I don't know who goes there) so they would have to stay put until after our recording before driving home, I hate that for them...
Anyway. I also still need to do the reflection paper for that - I forgot about it yesterday and kind of wanted to do it AFTER the recording anyway, but I might need to go ahead and work on it today.
Is it just me, or is Keelhauliday just not so interesting anymore? I can never restock anything. I did get like three nice items from Carl yesterday. And I guess just the event being about a single shop restocking isn't fun to me? Like, I enjoyed the plot for it when it first happened, but now its just "Yay the ship is here, have some items if you can manage to restock them" I've had more fun with the anniversary stuff, even though THAT is also pretty dull so far - I've been buying and feeding Kayano one set of items a day to make it spread out LOL
Hey All.... Sorry I havent been on here in awhile... RL if crazy and I usually only get on here to do my dailies. I hope all of u are doing well. Did u all enjoy summer? Im soooo happy that its cooler here in PA. Though my daughter and I were at an outside market Saturday and we stayed til it closed and I was freezing!!! I just dont handle the cool/cold anymore esp being on bloodthinners. Anyways....
I have a question for u all... I had to give up my subscription to Subeta for a little while to save some $ 😢 and I have been giving out Buddy GA's to anyone who wants/needs for awhile now. But sadly ya cant give them to urself lol So I was wondering if anyone had any Buddy GA's that they would want to give me one? Also I still have plenty to give out if anyone wants/needs.... Just let me know. I think they will still be mine once my Gold cancels today. Anyways... hopefully someone might have one to spare. Thanks
Gift a Buddy GA! You have 91 buddy GAs to you can gift! If you know who you want to gift it to, you can type their username in the box below. (There will be one more confirmation page after this!)
Please let me know if anyone else wants/needs any 😊
Sorry I can't help Kelly... i don't do the subscription level that gets me buddy GAs. I'm sure someone here will be able to help. You have a lot of them to give away!!! 😯
[edit] 750pm Class is over. We decided to record tomorrow evening after the one persons curriculum night ends. Which fine. But ARGH I hate last minute stuff. I just went and wrote my reflection paper so at least that is ready. I got my new "homework" assignments for the STEM class - we get to do nature journals and soil samples. Fun. :P Several assignments were graded, full marks on those. Some still are not graded :P I just wish I could do better on the stupid quizzes. Oh well! LOL (another quiz, 2 chapters, due by Sunday)
[edit] Sept 23rd (Tuesday) 8pm Well we got the recording done. I kept trying to figure out how to transition from narrator to child - and decided to wear my glasses to be the narrator (I normally don't because I hate the glare on them when I'm on the computer) and I used a stuffed monkey and took my glasses off to be the child. I think it went well. The "facilitator's" internet kept going in/out or her sound did, so a few of her words got cut off, but the point still got across with what she was saying. All in all, I think it turned out good. I think the reflection paper is worth the most points for the thing anyway.
I was at the childcare center today too, and even though I gave the director the papers with the assignments on it, she hasn't looked at it yet (no surprise there, though I was HOPING she would and make some notes for me, especially since she'll be gone the entire week of fall break when I am there longer). But anyway I took some time to talk with her, since she said she wasn't TOO busy for it and I got information for two activities for the final project. I also got the staff handbook finally and took notes from it, as I already had done the parent handbook notes last week - so now I can work on that assignment as its due Sunday night.
Hey guys! Kelly, I think I may still have some? And I could definitely use yours, if you wouldn't mind :)
Kat, I'm glad you got your project done, even though there was a delay!
Oh my goodness guys, I'm just so exhausted. kat, I don't know how you're doing everything you do. I'm. Done. In.
hahah some days I don't know how I do it either. I need to cook dinner tonight (pork chops) and be in class by 530. i've got my notes to finish up my case study project, which isn't due until next Wednesday, but yeah, I'll finish it before the end of the week, once I get feedback again. And I need to type up the childcare center crap - I've got like 4 pages that have handwritten notes on them now lol
So forget everything else I was going to rant about.
El moved out Sunday. Was like "It'll take 2-3 days to move all the boxes" to hell it will. Anyway, I asked like three times if they left their room all clean "Yeah of course".
I JUST TOOK THREE TRASH BAGS OUT OF THERE, and spent two hours cleaning it. There were so many cobwebs I had to wash my broom twice. Like.. WTF?! UGH.
Anyway. It's not cleaned, swept, and ready for Iz to start thinking about moving stuff in. She's cleaning off her shelf right now, so we can put that under the bed before she thinks about doing anything else. Because that's a pretty big first step, it's one of the square ones with all the shelves?
lol kids have no concept of how much you can move in one trip :P Especially when you either have a Uhaul type truck OR a lot of family help with multiple vehicles! Boxes!?! Boxes move SUPER easy and fast!! Its beds, couches, appliances that are the pitas!! :P
Oooh so Izzy is moving into El's old space? Was she sharing with Lily before, or just in a smaller space, or what? I don't remember...
Nathan is like that too. "Yeah its clean" and I go in there and there is still candy wrappers and dirty dishes and laundry everywhere. I sooooo want to DEEP clean his room, but he gets so pissy about me touching his stuff :P
Iz had a realllly small room. Els was mine when I was growing up, actually.. now it's Izys. She laughed because it skipped Lily :P ... who actually has the biggest room in the house!
I had Adam come back with his truck and he and Lily took all the furniture and the trash bags of stuff. Then we put all the seats down in the van and Alex filled that with boxes, and all the weird shaped stuff went in Els car. One trip, bam LOL.
Ugh yes! CHILDREN. TEENAGERS. MENFOLK. Honestly, I'm just tired of all of them ahha.
Though.. goodness. Iz is going to have so much donate and trash stuff by the time SHE'S done. She's very carefully moving though, only moving things she wants to keep haha. Which is good, but also like.. yikes, she has a LOT of stuff. I didn't realize how MUCH was on her shelves before I moved them in under the bed yesterday.. yikes.
Yeah. Once they hit that certain age (which varies) and stuff starts getting rid of, there is SO MUCH STUFF. Of course, then there is the messy hoarder child who doesn't use a thing in his bedroom except the tv/game system and yet doesn't want to move/sort through anything in his room If I made him, he'd probably choose to get rid of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book collection, the tools and outgrown clothes. eyeroll and there is SO MUCH else that can be cleaned up/out of there, but oh well. One day will come - when he moves out or moves Asher in or something I guess. In the meantime, I just try to keep down the trash mess.
Btw, the book collection would NOT be gotten rid of, simply removed from his space and into mine, because I got rid of my babysitter club books when I grew up and have regretted it ever since :P So I will keep his wimpy kid books for grandkids to read eventually LOL or him to re-read when hes in his thirties or something
Haha. I kept a few of my favorite books from when I was little, and Iz and Lily have kept a few that they want for them or for their kids if they have any.. but I'm not keeping whole collections anymore because.. who knows? I'm tired of hoarding certain things.
I'm saying that, but my booksehlves are still prety full :P I've donated four boxes of books from Iz's room already though and I think we'll find more..
