YES! Especially onions. I get so UGH when onions are left on my burgers or sandwiches after I asked for them off. I take them off but I still TASTE THEM

Ok done questing. I am tired of being on here, so I am going to go read a while. Not that I'm tired of chatting, so very happy we got to actually be online at the same time and talk again!! Its been a while. But I'm just ... done. :P Need a different type of relaxing now I guess.

Have a great rest of your night!

Yeah, I actually did all my quests today. Even kumos! LOL. But yeah, now I'm tired of the internet and my chair :P

It WAS nice to get to actually talk together though, yes!

Oh you go girl!! I know you don't do that as often as I do!! (ALL the quests) I didn't actually do battle. But eh. Its ok. I honestly don't think Sheli is going to get much higher tier (she's 11 right now and has 8k points to next level up) and so I probably won't be able to battle any bigger bosses unless I take interest in learning how to beat each individual one with specific weapons. I am more of a blunt attack personality lol Let me bludger them in one/two moves and I'm happiest. I will battle a few times for events when it takes me longer (5, 6 or more hits) to get the xp and bonus items.

No, I think I've done it twice this summer lol.. the last two days :P ... not battling, tho.

I'm t12 with 1900 to go to 13 and.. I still prefer blunt attacks lol. I don't want to buy 20 million different weapons...

I like to do battle quests because of the xp. Quickest way other than event challengers to me.

SO I did a thing. Not sure how I'll end up liking it, but I've been debating for ages about those smart watches...I finally got one. It was on sale really cheap, and so was one for Nathan, so I spent like $40 to get two of them delivered free ;) I have not worn a watch in like 10+ years. But I wanted to be able to monitor my steps (I have tried a few pedometer things but they never seemed to work right). I will need to remember to take my phone with me around school now hahaha I normally leave it in the classroom but this thing only has like a 10 meter (30ft) bluetooth connection, so if I want it to log all my steps, I'll have to take my phone to stay connected.

I wish it could track my blood PRESSURE and not just my heartrate hahahah :P But I guess heartrate is good to monitor as well as steps. I'm not sure how many features of it I'll end up using. But it does all the things, phone calls, text messages, pedometer, music etc. edit: Oooh I just found it DOES do blood pressure too. I wonder how accurate it is for that though. I will still use my cuff machine ;) But I will track it on the watch too now!! :D

Oooh nice! I picked up a cheap one from Amazon last year and I really like it too, though I mostly only use it for steps, it can do a lot.

I hope you like it!

Other than the weirdness of wearing it, its been ok but yesterday was only the first day lol. Interesting to check out all the things it can do. The blood pressure readings are higher than my cuff machine, so not sure how accurate that is. And I have to go to the setting to get it to record my pressure, there is no automatic monitoring it, but thats ok. It will give me a steady record throughout the day when I remember to do it, so that will be nice to have, even if its not exactly accurate, because it will show fluctuations.

I was playing in my sharecare app (my insurance rewards program) and I had set the app to auto record my steps like over a week ago, and I really thought it wasn't doing it (I also just wasn't sure it WOULD), because the first few days it only showed the steps I manually logged. But when I looked at it yesterday, to put my steps from my watch in, it showed steps! Maybe because I wasn't toting my phone around, it wasn't recording anything? LOL It was NOT as many steps as my watch says, because obviously I don't keep my phone in my pocket in the classroom or at home, while the watch was still on my wrist those times. Now I wonder how accurate the steps are, and am going to try to keep my phone in my pocket all day and compare. Nathan says his was pretty accurate, he has had an app on his phone for tracking steps - but he's also much more likely to have his phone in his pocket - me - well 1. My pockets are smaller so the phone doesn't always fit or I don't HAVE pockets or 2. I feel the phone is heavy and pulls my pants down when I have my phone in my pockets that it fits in! Ugh.

Anyway. I am going to walmart for like 5-10 things eyeroll I hate shopping when I need almost nothing. But I have plenty of snacks, and lots of hamburger meat, so I just need to plan meals around that. I need to get dog food, cat litter and the freon and a couple other small things. Better than needing to do a huge shopping I guess, but still. And then I will see when I can meet Ryan to get the freon put in the car and hope that helps!

Good luck with your car! Oooh and the step counter. But yeah, you need to take your phone with you if you want the phone to count your steps :P

We went to visit a college today, did the tour and such. Their lunch was awful though, I hope that's not what the food actually is like... :/

Then we ran to the urgent care to check Lilys rash out, it's a staph infection in her armpit, so she's got pills and a cream for that now. We had to go to walmart to pick it up though, because the locally owned place closes early Saturdays. I still somehow ended up spending $78k, though we did buy most of the things they needed for school (wasn't much, now that they're both in HS!), four big squishmallows on clearance.. one for the graduate, two for Christmas, and one for Iz for now I guess :P They were all 14-16 inches, so good sized! And all 70% off, so exciting.

Then we ran to a graduation party for an hour before coming home and eating dinner.

I'm exhausted :P

Tomorrow we have to go to church, then there's a family reunion for Alex's moms side. We'll pop into that for a little bit.

El and Izy are going to Knoebels for Els work family day thing I guess? I have no clue, but they're going to do that, so hopefully they'll have fun!

Meh. I forgot the bathhouse yesterday. Back to day 1 again. I am beginning to think I will NEVER get the year long achievement. I'm going to keep trying tho.

I will find out this afternoon if fixing the car worked hahah. It for sure felt cooler on my way home from meeting up with Ryan, but it wasn't super hot at that point either, nor had the car been sitting in the sun all day.

Eep for Lily, hope that heals quickly and yay for squishmallows. I almost bought MYSELF one a month or so ago, saw in the walmart app, but never in the store, went back to app to find it and of course I could not :P Oh well. Not meant to be.

Sounds like you had a busy weekend. I had a lazy one for the most part. Did some household chores as usual. Read a lot.

College classes start tonight, so less fun reading time now :( Boo. One class does NOT have a book however, so I guess that will be nice, maybe? Or maybe we'll get a lot of article or research assignments instead. Who knows. I have "STEM for the Youngest Learner" tonight (the one with no book). Then "Assessment and Instruction for the Exceptional Learner" for Wednesday (and the book for that is on back order, of course it is, since I have the OTHER two books already, for my next 8 week term classes), and my Admin Practicum (the one I have to work at a daycare - it has an online book) will hold orientation on Thursday.

[edit] Monday 645pm Zoom meeting over. Didn't take too long (First class often doesn't). I have two assignments to work on for this week in this class - read an article and write a summary/connection paragraph (300+ words) and take 5 photographs, connect them to STEM, write a 100 word narrative for each, and then write a final 100 words reflecting on the photos/how I connected/learned/expressed myself. And of course, the never ending syllabus ;) I read (skimmed) through that, printed what I needed and "acknowledged" that I'd read it. Go me :P

Found out one of my Henry people (my campus) is no longer attending classes - the teacher asked who attended Henry, and I had noticed this lady wasn't in class, so I mentioned her, but then another classmate said she would not be returning :( Makes me sad. Now there is only 2 Henry peoples.

Hi guys! Been a while. I'm in a MSW program now, and I just had my first day of interning today! Classes also start this week. Boy am I glad I will have one day off of work/school/interning a week! Also fun with trying to figure out the new site for fieldwork.

Ah the joys of touring colleges! Whew! But I understand about food quality at universities, given I just had orientation at my new building, and the food was subpar. I hope your senior gets into where they want to go! :D

Hey looks like we start at the same time, Kat! I hope that your last couple semesters go well! :D You've got this!

Hi Beth!! Sounds like you are going to be a busy bee!! And thanks! I'm sure I will do well in my classes. I really hope so at least lol

I was NOT ready to get back to classes. Urgh. It will be ok tho. I just was enjoying NOT having to do stuff I guess LOL

EDIT Article read and reflection done. Not submitted yet, will do that another day. Now I need to find 5 things to photograph :P I teased Nathan I should photograph him laying in the bed and discuss inertia giggles

Yes! It's looking that way! I'm not so much bothered by the busyness as I am about making myself wake up at 6:30 a.m. every day but Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday! Which is probably nothing to you when it comes to teaching/assisting teaching!

I don't blame you! It's like summer flew by, or at least feels like in my case! I had vacation and then I blinked and all of a sudden it was orientations for school and my internship!

Edit: Haha yes teens can be notorious for lazing around! For still being young, it can be little motivation to do things for them!

Ehhh yeah. There is no "waking myself up" - I just am naturally awake by 6 am it seems. And yeah, that's absolutely nothing to me, however there are quite a few teachers that have issues with waking up so early to get to work lol poor them. One of the ladies I work with, honestly! :P She lives the closest to the school and I swear, is almost always the last one of our group to work. She just doesn't want to get out of bed and/or get going. My lead teacher is the same, gets to work on time tho, but tells me she hit the snooze button like 5x before getting up. I guess whatever works for each person eh?

Finished my kumos quests. Not gonna bother with legacy ones tonight. Too pooped. Going to go read. See you all tomorrow!

Congrats on back to school for both of you!

My nephews started today, but we go back next Thursday.

Alexs alarm goes off every weekday at 530, so I just get up then too.. but I normally lay in bed and do my puzzles and listen to music for like 45 minutes before I actually get up and do things.

I'll be starting work at 7 this year though instead of 9 (I'm happy about it though, an extra 10 hours a week!), so that'll be a change.. but I can bring the girls with me every day, so they're really excited about that!

Ooh yay for more hours for you, and that you can take the girls in with you! That will help make life a little easier all around.

I do NOT want to do zoom class tonight. I just don't. I will. But I don't want to. Already too tired just from looking over classwork and syllabus hahahah :P (But that was for tonights class AND the practicum class stuff...so... eh.)

edit: ye gods. The convo I am having with a classmate sure isn't helping my mood. She is insisting since we haven't gotten any emails from the insttructor or the course canvas page, we don't have class. UUUUUHHHH??? Yeah we do. We just may not have a zoom link yet - but I think I found one in the calendar app, but her app isn't even showing the class :P WHO KNOWS!!! I will admit it is very weird to not have gotten an email reminder from the teacher with a zoom link. I've never NOT gotten one at least a day in advance of my classes before. And here it is less than an hour before class starts. The schedule on the calendar says from 530-830. Ugh.

So did you end up having class? Did she send the link?!

Yeah, they're excited to not have to ride the bus in the morning, even though they'd get an extra 15 minutes.. not that much, all things considered!

Yes we had class. No he never emailed a link. The one from the calendar worked and someone else said they found it in the zoom tab which is on canvas (some teachers use that, most put it in the announcements, which....sends an email!) I think I will like this teacher, even tho I am not at all thrilled with a group project right off the bat. At least my group has two weeks. Some others only have one week. And it is a simple project honestly. My group has to discuss the pros and cons and how to use a portfolio assessment, do a slideshow and present it.

[edit] 715pm Now I've had my orientation zoom meeting. And my hopes have been shot to hell in a handbasket :P I had hoped to only work at the childcare center one day a week (2.5hrs that day) and do a lot of my hours during fall break - but NO. The instructor does NOT want us to do that, she says we can do a good bit of it then, but NOT the majority of our time. So I guess I go two days a week (will be 5hrs a week, and she wanted us there at least 6hrs but she ain't getting it from me!) and will get extra hours in on like, labor day and during fall break and thanksgiving, and not do LONG days on my fall break I guess like I had planned. Oh well. Now I will call the childcare center tomorrow and hope to get started on Tuesday. Since class is Mon/Wed, I will try to go Tues/Thurs for center hours. Yay. Lots of long days ahead. UGH

Oh goodness. I got off after I typed all that and chilled the rest of the night, so I just missed you

At least I am working with one of the classmates I've always thought it would be good to work with. The other two, I'm not so sure about, but I think they'll be fine (one RAMBLES a LOT when she talks during class, but honestly, a LOT of them do that hahahah) But I've always liked this guys (the only guy in the class) work and stuff, and the other ladies do good too, so I think it will all be fine. Yes, I think online is the hardest part. I would so prefer to meet in person, but we now at least have a zoom session set up for Sunday at 4 to discuss who is going to work on which part and who will present it and all. So yay? I guess. We have until Sept 3 to get it done, so there is time. But I hate waiting to get stuff done, especially group stuff!!

At least you're actually getting together to talk instead of just messaging back and forth?

And oh goodness, I must have been on this page a while last night, because I missed your edit! I mean.. it kind of makes sense that she'd want you there for longer, so you can see how the kids behave over a longer time.. but it still stinks that your plans got messed up! :( And that's going to make for some long days for you!

Iz had her first football game last night, she said it was fun but now she's tired. She had said before that that it was HER last first football game too (Lily is emotional over all things senior year LOL) so.. we'll see. I'd be OK if she didn't do it again, but I'd also be OK if she did. It's just.. a lot :P
