I think you can block them if you can see them, but I'm not sure how on mobile. And there's only sometimes the way to do it on the computer but.. maybe google it? :(

I actually used the crockpot for the corned beef last night, we don't actually use it much haha. More for just transporting cooked food :P

Tonight we're having broccoli cheese potato soup, I'm kind of excited about that!

School zoom class tonight. Yay? :P I at least was able to read my chapter today, I forgot to over the weekend since I was doing other stuff...but these aren't hard chapters for me to read, so I was able to do it after I got home from work.

Dunno what I want to do for dinner. I have chili and stew, as well as some leftover taco meat and refried beans... Need to decide fast and eat, or I won't be able to eat until my 10min break (around 7-ish) or until class is over (8-830)

edit: 840 Scrambled to shovel dinner in my mouth at 7 lol finished eating the last bits after class restarted. Oh well. Reheated some stew and biscuits for my dinner. Got sorted into our small group for the project - we had 4 in the group but 2 of them were not in class tonight, then the professor popped into our small group and realized those two had not been to class at all yet - she told us to just do the project with the 2 of us. It's an author/illustrator study.

AND the professor in the other class sent an email saying to start at least LOOKING at the first project for his class, tho its not due til next week (at the end of week 3). I have to basically make a google classroom or seesaw account or something similar to that, and deck it out so it is attractive, friendly and easy to use for the kids/parents. Fun.

Thanks guys!! I am home. I guess it went better and also about as expected. Like, I found out my credit score is better than I thought, but the bankruptcy is still (just) under 2 years, so that might cause a problem (literally, just, April...and it's the last days of March, but she said we might have to wait until May). (I thought it was 2 yrs back in Feb - 2 years since it was discharged...) Due to that and the fact that FHA loans don't like to do sales between "family members" the FHA loan may not be an option but she will try. She did say that they have an in-house mortgage program that WOULD work, but it is NOT a fixed rate, its adjustable, which adjusts every 5 years...I told her I didn't care, if that was how I had to go, I would, because my original plan was to just get it in MY name right now, and then if the opportunity came up to refinance later (due to better income, lower rate, whatever) I was going to do that anyway. She also bemoaned the fact that the ex would not come do the quit claim deed as it would have been easier to refinance the current mortgage into my name if my name was on the property - she had mentioned that last June - but every time I mentioned it to him he didn't want to deal with it. She did say he would have to come in and sign one anyway (*and sign other papers too most likely) if I got approved ... I am sure he will do that just to get the mortgage out of his name. - HE BETTER anyway!! He does know I was going to try and do this. I can't remember if I told him I was going to the bank today or not, but he did know I was going to try by June anyway. She also asked if I had been paying the mortgage payments - yes, for the past 5 years (which included property taxes AND homeowners insurance) out of MY bank account which does not have his name on it at all. So I guess maybe that fact will help? She also knows how much I need (the amount of the old mortgage) and how much I have in the bank to help towards closing costs or other fees, or even a down payment. So anyway. She is going to work on it and get in touch with me as soon as she can about it.

OK so today I decided to go ahead and apply for the elementary secretary job, and I asked for some recommendations and got one so good that I actually cried. And two other people that I asked were more than happy to write me one up, even though it had to be less than 6 hours from then because they only gave 4 days to get everything together.

So that's making me feel a bit better :P

AND Alex says that he thinks he's really figured out what's wrong with the van, and it's probably not that expensive.. like, the more expensive thing is around $150 to fix, NOT like $3000 like he originally thought so.. a LOT of things are feeling much better haha.

And is Alex actually right this time? Hahahah!! Sorry had to. I hope he is. A cheaper fix is much better. But he's been wrong what, twice now? Third time the charm I guess! Yay for the job application! I hope you get it!! We love our school secretary! :D (Tho she does also sometimes drive me nuts, as she's tried to "cheer" up the school by playing music by request (or her choice if no one requests anything) on Fridays before clap out over the loudspeaker/announcement system - nice, except we have WILD CRAZY LOUD FOUR YEAR OLDS in the room! so its just MORE NOISE!!!!)

I decided to try and make an animoto video or two for my "google classroom" that I have to create for my tech class :P Maybe a "welcome I am your teacher" and then a "here is how you get to your assignments" or something. Which means I'll have to screen shot some photos of the classroom haha! Fun. Glad I have 2 weeks to work on this (more or less). I just didn't want to record myself talking. BUT I might have to, I'll have to re-read the directions.

We have two secretaries at each of our schools haha. And they've all been there forever, like.. since before I was in school! The elementary principals secretary who is retiring was there when / was in elementary school! So it must not be a bad job?

I hope he's right, too :P I feel like we're playing whack-a-mole with it again... everything we do needed to be done and helps, but it's not the fix :P

Hmm. Well I am not sure what all the actual titles are in the office. I know we have Ms Jen (the receptionist maybe? Who is the one who plays the music, lets the parents into the building, greets people, gives out tardy passes, etc at the main front desk) Then we have Ms Nancy - who in addition to helping Jen with that stuff, has a separate office and is also in charge of things like clock-in/out issues (like if we forget to clock in or out she can fix it on her computer), adding/removing kids from classes, and things of that nature. I am not sure if Jen can do any of that. In fact I don't know what all of their responsibilities are at all ! LOL Just some of the things they do. I know Jen's position has been vacated and filled about 3 times since I started working (as a sub) in the school. (so within the last 10 years). Ms Nancy has been there the whole time tho.

I hope so. The directions are : Your goal this week is to identify a place you can build a digital classroom and complete the following: Setup the basic classroom; making sure it has a clear name, identifies you as the teacher, and uses a consistent theme Create a welcome to students; make a video, create a Bitmoji or use some other means to create a welcoming first encounter for your students.

[edit] Good Morning everyone 630am Class Pictures today, and individuals for those who pay. Fun. Only good thing is PreK usually goes first, so we'll get it out of the way. Tomorrow I have a zoom meeting at 5 to get a form notarized. Not sure how that works over the zoom meeting but eh whatever. They are supposed to "walk" me through signing up for a PSC account, which I already have thank you. :P And filling out another form, which I then will have to upload to them, all three or four of the forms they asked for....and once my pre-certification certificate clears, I am accepted into the teaching program at Mercer! yay. :P

I don't get why he won't. My only problem has been how to get the form. You either have to sign up for some site that wants you to pay to join or have a lawyer print it off somehow.(I tried several times and even went and asked at the courthouse of they knew of a way to get the form and they all said a lawyer). He has a freaking lawyer on tap all he has to do is ask for it to be filled and printed. Then bring it to me to get notarized and I can file the thing if he didn't want to. He doesn't want to take the time to do it I guess (or spend more $ to file, in which case make me pay to file it) But he also keeps saying he doesn't want the house, he only got it for me, I can have the house, it's my house, etc. (of course he's also been an a$$ and said he "could" sell the house out from under me and tell me I have to move several times as well ..) So then WHY drag your feet on this? What ever. Once I get info from her saying whatever we need to do for my mortgage I'll make him come do it.
