Good morning ladies sorry I have been absent I had a Migraine and yeserday I went for food and then went to the theatre to see a Michael Jackson tribute show but when we got there they said it was cancelled because the guy who does the tribute act was sick so we went home gutted. :(
Mieke sorry about the van and hope you can get it sorted cheaply, hope the party went well and UGG men think they know EVERYTHING especialy about cars LOL :P but glad Alex figured out what was wrong with it and it's a cheap fix
UGG Kat so sorry about the Mortgage crap and the Amazon crap it sounds like a scam Your Amazon kindle should show on your statment as KindleUnltd thats what mine shows as and I have Prime and it shows as Amazon Prime on my statement. Hope you get it sorted out.
Pot roast sounds lovely you/re making me hungry :P lol Yay go Kat you cleaned all the house look at you go glad you are finally feeling better :)
There's a phone number on that page too I believe Kat, so you can call them. That's generally easier than dealing with the robot!
Way to go! All we did yesterday was uh.. not much :P Girl Scout Sunday at church, then we came home and I did.. not much :P Alex took Lily to shooting, but they came home before teh second one before her wrist hurt. Then we went to Sunday dinner to celebrate Darrens birthday... when we got there though, we found out my FiL drove himself to the hospital when my MiL went to the grocery store, he felt weird and his blood pressure was super high. :/
They have him a nitroglycerin tablet under his tongue and DID let him go home, but want him to see a cardiologist. Honestly, if he took himself to the hospital or dr, he must have been feeling REALLY bad, so that's a bit scary!
Yikes yea. Poor FIL. Hope he's doing better. I felt so weird that day mine went sky high. I was at school and the principal made the counselor and our old counselor who was visiting, drive me to the Dr office as he didn't want me to drive myself. (One to take me and my car, the other to return them both to school in her car). I was at the Dr office a couple hours resting til it went down. They did t give me any medicine, but I had already taken mine that morning....
Ugh for migraines. My daughter gets those sometimes. Not as often as she used to.
Ramen noodles for dinner tonight. I will add some frozen mixed veg to it. Then class at 6pm.on zoom.
Am debating going to go ahead and try to get the mortgage now instead of waiting for June....so I don't have to freak out between paying a raised amount or paying to keep it from changing. If I try to get a mortgage of my own I can go ahead and change insurance too ... But I am worried if it will be anywhere near the payment amount I have now. I need it to be the same or lower or else I will struggle to pay bills/buy groceries.
Oh. Just got an email saying my school district is changing how often they pay us, starting in July it will be every two weeks instead of monthly. So that means I will have to redo all my due dates to make sure my bills get paid on time ... [edit] 811pm I cannot stop yawning. Why am I so tired, we sprang forward not backwards LOL My body should think its only 7pm, not 8pm. Just finished my first zoom meeting for class. Went good. Gotta find a book and read it and do my discussion for it...and I think that is the ONLY thing I have left to do until next week hahah I love being able to get a lot of school work done on weekends. Oh well and respond to someone after posts are done, and same for in the technology class. Gotta respond to someone (or more? gotta find out how many) there too.
Good Morning ladies
ohh your Poor FIL. Hope he's feeking better than he was
I bet that medical episode was scary Kat i'm glad you were ok tho Thats annoying that you have to change all your bills around I hate when that happens it is frustrating good luck with your Morgage Kat
Yay I just earned accsess to the Blue building :)
Good luck with the mortgage, Kat! Time to get that ex off the house once and for all, I suppose!
Speaking of insurance, I need to look at mine and see if I can get it changed, it's like $1200 for the year and that just seems really high.. and they'll probably raise it again?! They raised it like $200 last year because 'your house is worth more now than it was last year though!" well, not that much more, surely?!
Mine is over $1600 for the insurance. The quote I got from my current auto insurance company (with Ryan on it) was over $2000 😳 I am hoping to get it back down to under $1000 if I can. But with the value of the home having increased and the repairs made, so new materials....I dunno. The property tax is over $2000 too, and went up $600 this year alone!!! I really hope it doesn't increase anymore 😕
I think during spring break, which is the first week of April, I will go talk to the bank. Just do what I have to do. Bite the bullet no matter what. I don't think anything will change financially for me between April and June other than me getting another $1000+ in the bank. And I can use that for groceries instead.
Oh so btw, my problem child at work....pushed and kicked a little girl yesterday. Her dad pitched a fit, wanted to have a conference with his parents and admin/teacher. Admin changed him to class next door starting tomorrow. I fear this is going to set him back. And he'll act worse but I guess we will see.
Just for homeowners?! Not car too?!
Oh gosh, our property/school taxes are hovering around $5k now, a bit under or over I can't remember.
Oh boy.. well, at least admin did SOMETHING?! I'm glad the other dad pitched a fit, but like.. OF COURSE HE DID.
You ever have a day when you think you should have just gone back to bed? That was today at work. And on top of that.. the thigh ripped out of my jeans UGH.
I'm sure they do not want to have a meeting between parents. Can you imagine if a fight broke out? 😝 But still... I think it's stupid. They should have done something months ago But I also found out today that MY teacher STILL has not turned in all the notes as documentation yet. So honestly!!! I'm about POd about the whole thing. If she has turned those in months ago maybe all this would have been prevented by him being removed from school already or something...half days like we wanted or something already!!!!
She hasn't?! Oh gosh, yeah, I'd be mad.. and as the other parents of kids in that classroom, I'd be INCREDIBLY pissed off.
Ugh.. to everything!
Yeah, they're nuts!
Also I just looked and our homeowners insurance is $1415 a year. Which I guess isn't crazy crazy...
But while i was looking at it I realized it still says we have a pool and a dog so I tried to remove them.. can't. Did live chat.. they can't help. So now I'm on hold to remove them. Hopefully it's worth my while LOL
EDIT: Well, I was on hold for 10m but they're refunding $61 to my bank account, so at least there's that?!
Why should it matter if you have a dog??? Or a pool, unless it is an in ground pool???
I didn't ask for what the total was w/o Ryan on the homeowners but they did say it was less.... Less than the one I already have, I don't know. And that one renews in June and is likely to go up anyway. But yea the quotes price did not include car insurance. But they did say I would get a discount which I knew.
And the teacher spent all of naptime and is still, documenting all notes from his agenda to include when she sends the notes in to whoever. I think she said she was sending them to the PreK director Most of which are already documented in my notes but at least this will show that we contacted parent as well
I just edited haha.
IDK but it does, they ask about it 👀 And it did end up saving me some!
There's a $217 savings on my homeowners because I have auto insurance through them too. It's just all annoying haha.
We've only had above ground pools. But I don't think my homeowners insurance EVER asked about pools or dogs... hahah weird how it is different from area to area. But I guess getting back $61 because you no longer have a pool or a dog is something good! LOL Yes. I recall getting a discount on the homeowners policy, AND on the auto policy when I had the two policies at the same insurance company before. I'm hoping for that again, once I change it all up. I guess I will get quotes from different agencies for both. But when I browsed (online) it did say state farm was the cheapest for teenage drivers on policies... but eh who knows what I'll find out.
So I was late leaving work because I was picking the librarians brain hahah For my literacy class I have to read 6 books, in 6 different genres, one of which has to be on a "challenged books" list...And I was all like uuumm what type of books are considered this?? So she was helping me figure it out and grabbing me some books. So I now have a poetry book (512 poems included, and NO I will not read all of them but I will skim through and read quite a few lol), a biography book (Dr Suess! lol), an informational book (about space), a contemporary fiction book (fire burns down the house while they are saving for a new chair, so instead they end up with new everything and the neighborhood helps them out), and even tho I am supposed to read only books I have not yet read - I am going for A Wrinkle In Time for my traditional fantasy book (I read it when I was a kid and barely remember anything, so it'll be like never reading it before....almost - and it is on the challenged books list) and so I now only need to find a modern fantasy book...which will be a bit harder as I've read a lot of that lol The only downside is that my selection is not really "culturally diverse" but it was hard enough finding books in the right genres w/o looking at culturally diverse as well. Ugh. Oh well. If I lose a few points for not being culturally diverse oh well.
And I just realized the paper I printed lists SEVEN categories, but I have to only read 6 books? I didn't write down the 7th category on the sticky note I took to school. Logging on to see if something else only listed 6 categories. I don't want to do something wrong. sigh [edit] 650pm Ok so read over everything. 7 categories to choose from. Made that easier. Now I can use the Magic Tree House Titanic book they offered me :P 7th category was historic realistic fiction LOL Wrote up the blurb for the poetry book. Cannot figure out how to make a small picture, so just attached the picture. Eh. Read a 2nd book, the biography. Will write up a blurb for it and save it for next week. Probably before the end of the week I'll have the space (informational) and Chair for Mama books done too hahaha That is just how I am. I need to do replies, 1 for the book blurbs, 2 for the technology discussion. So far only 1 other person has posted in either class (we have until Thurs for Tech and Sunday for Lit)
I also went over and asked the guys working on the property next door (they are the ones who fixed the driveway and they are building a foundation then a building for a storage shed for her) - if they could pull up a stump near my house. They managed it, but oops. I forgot there were power lines or cable lines or something running back to the back house (as it was a place to live long ago) - one of them got broken. But no worries on my behalf because there isn't even a breaker box back there and no power in those lines as far as I know. We've never had power back there. The guy who used to live here, who we let stay in the backhouse for a year or so instead of sleeping in his truck (he was doing that in our neighbors yard when we found out!) fixed up a room and the ceiling and I THINK he put a breaker box in, but I am not sure if he actually had power? I can't remember. I don't know if he had power or if he used an extension cord to our back door outside plug in. Anyway. They got the stump up and then refused payment, even tho when I asked them to look at it, I asked them to tell me what it would cost...instead they just came and dug it up! no cost. So sweet!
Also I just realized that I meant to ask about your jeans and what happened at work. Completely forgot with all my rambling :P Sorry!
We only had above ground pools too.. but every one of my other friends says that they've been asked too, all over the country o.O
Pools, dogs, trampolines.. all those raise your premiums because your dog can bite someone, etc etc etc.
That was nice of them, eith the stump!
Oh. My jeans ripped through the thigh, work was just.. arghhhh. Nothing was working. I literally got no work done for the entire three hours I was there. Friday is going to be a mess :P

Whoo!
ANNNNNDDDDDD I don't think the new spark plugs and coils fixed the van. :(
Yay for forum points! Boo for bad days at work and more messes because of it. Boo for not fixing the van!!
My property, my dog. Leave my dog alone and she won't bite you (but I get it, it would be a medical claim tho ..and that is already covered ... So ...)!! Honestly she probably won't bite you anyway lol she is usually very friendly. But those people who are scared of her make her bark worse so I always worry she may bite them. I was standing right there with her on the runner line, which has clearly marked (she made a path) boundaries and one of the guys jumped sideways when she started barking...I was thinking like.... Dude. I'm right here AND she clearly can't reach you but ok. Go on and move further away if it makes you more comfortable!! I have thought about a beware of dog sign, but then people will think she IS mean...
Peers in….. it’s been a while. But you know me I’m always lurking.
What’s happened to me since I was last here.
EDIT

Aww boo for needing shots but I am hoping they make you feel better!! Ooh interesting, I would be wanting to get more pay for less work too! And yes, more lego!! LOL Gym. eh. I tried that one year. Gained muscle, lost fat, didn't lose a pound. Now I am lazy. I should walk more. My neighbor keeps talking about us going walking together when the weather gets a bit nicer. So I think we will do that.
I have completed ALL of my school work for this week. AND did a 2nd book blurb (and will probably do a 3rd and a 4th before the weekend is over, but I won't post them, just write them up)...heck I may work ahead in technology too, as I can write up stuff for it ahead of time and post it when needed as well....depends on my mood I guess. I am used to doing doing doing and if the class is easy enough (like these two seem to be, depending...there is a group project soon in Lit ugh that is harder to do) but anyway. I can complete stuff quick and work ahead. Gosh when spring break comes (first week of april) imagine the things I could do? ALL my work done? LOL Either that or finally a very clean house/yard.
Yeah, but like if government people or police or anyone really. Anyway. Yeah. Dogs. :P
Welcome back Luce <3
Maybe? the van is fixed after all? I took it today and it drove fine so.. I'll try driving it to work Friday. That's about as far as I'd like to go right now until I'm sure :P
Oh I hope so! I am already worried about getting my other car back. Nathan STILL doesn't have a job. He has put in maybe 3-4 applications all year long. He wants to work where a friend works. I understand that, but he KNOWS (I know he knows) that he HAS to get a job by the time he graduates, because by August he needs to have some $ saved up so he can start buying his own groceries. I've told him that I will have little to no $ from my paycheck and so no $ for the things he likes/wants (like soda and energy drinks that cost $20 a box! and he goes thru a box of each every week and a half!! or around that). Its not super expensive but it will be OUT of my budget at that time. So if he wants it, he has to be able to buy it himself. He is also supposed to earn enough to pay his part of the insurance on the mazda, especially if I get the other car back and put it on the policy too, because then he will be the ONLY driver listed on the mazda. (which, according to my insurance company it was cheaper to put him on the mazda anyway, since the other car is listed as a off road vehicle even tho it is NOT one, it is NOT 4 wheel drive (its not listed as 4 wheel drive, just off road)...which is annoying but whatever.) I'm halfway tempted to tell my brother to sell it and find me a cheap car instead. Especially now the driveway is fixed. Maybe a small, older cheap car will cost less insurance too. I'll discuss it with him I guess, but he's already bought the parts to fix it and everything... I dunno.
