Ooooh idk, that all sounds complicated!

I wish with my insurance you could put a driver on just one car, it'd make things so much cheaper! But you can't.. but it'd still be a lot more to switch so I'll stay but I'm not super super happy about it LOL. I wonder if it'd be cheaper to switch just the one car to a different insurance policy and pay half, now that I think about it.. but then we'd lose the teen driver discount we've got for having insurance through Progressive for so long.

And oof, yeah. That's rough. I suppose though it'll be much easier to get a job when school is out and that's not in the way? Hopefully?

And goodness! You're much nicer than me, I get a 12 pack once a month for them and they all have to share it, once that's gone that's it until the next month. And I refuse to buy energy drinks haha. Though I will ocassionally pick up a pack of sparkling waters or gatorade from Sams, but still, it's one a day and it's got to last.

Well it's the fact that I had two cars and two drivers. So each car has to have a primary driver. So maybe not really the only driver but the primary one is a better choice of words? I mean like, I can still drive it and he could drive the Xterra if we needed to when I have them both Right now, with only one car, Nathan is listed as a secondary driver and it costs less than if he was primary driver. Other companies have teen driver discounts too. I have one for Nathan through state farm.

Yes it'll be better when I have a better income. But it won't be a huge increase, just a big one if you know what I mean lol. Like starting teacher salaries are still pretty low, just better than parapros.

I am not happy about it but he claims it's the only thing that wakes him up in the mornings. And I don't feel I can fuss as it was his dad who started buying them for Katie and then him, and it's his dad's money paying for it. But I won't when it is my money. He drinks plenty of water as well at least.

As for him getting a job I don't think it's school getting in the way for him. He can easily go to work any time after 4pm and on the weekends. I think it's more a bit of his social anxiety and a lack of motivation. He has no need for anything right now even tho I have explained to him and he has agreed and understood I need his help paying for the insurance when I have 2 cars.

I guess maybe that is a state difference then? Rather than a company difference. Because I had a different company before state farm and they said the same, if I had more than one car and more than one driver each car would have a different primary driver.

Maybe, but I know when I was a teenager it was like that too.. but not on Progressive, which is why I was thinking maybe it was a them thing?

Hmm. Who knows. We had progressive a very long time ago. Changed to country financial when we moved here to Griffin. Stayed with them until Ryan changed to state farm. I think I'll be getting quotes from many places on both auto and home as I move forward getting the mortgage. See what rates I can get where....and where I can spend the least $ lol

Just finished our first training of the day. And it was a waste of my time. It wasn't even a training!!! It was a sales pitch for a literacy program that the PreK director wants to get and use. Sigh I would have been fine about it if we KNEW we were going to be using it...but we do t even know if we are? Seriously? Why waste our time?

[Edit] Huh. Guess the lady at the bank misunderstood me I said "I am available any day after 4pm except Mondays". She emailed me asking, would you like to meet Monday the 18th? What is your schedule like on Mondays? So I emailed her back that I work til 330, have to take my son home and wouldn't arrive at the bank until between 4 and 415 and would have to leave by 530 as I have a 6pm zoom class ... Is that enough time? Otherwise another day is better which is why I said except Mondays. Waiting on her to reply again. But...isn't it understood if I say available any day except...that is a day I am NOT available???

edit: mmm hahah she called me, apologized for misunderstanding the email and asked if Tuesday was a a better day? Yes? Then we will meet Tuesday at 4-415 lol

Ugh the van is definitely NOT fixed, but hopefully something ELSE cheapish can fix it. I'll call the garage and see what they say on Monday. :/ For today and tomorrow, I'll just borrow the car, El will survive. And maybe Tuesday, too, for work. We'll figure it out.

Yesterday was food share after work, and today was storytime. It was pretty packed, but I think everyone had fun!

I miss storytime. I loved taking my kids to the public library for storytime when they were younger. The stories and the activities were always fun.

I've been doing school work. :P Working a bit ahead. I have FOUR completed Book Connections now (I left the other two books at school yesterday, oops) - # one was turned in last week, # two was written last week, so today I did three and four. I just finished reading all the links and watching all the videos for the tech class - and wrote in my "journal". I am debating doing the discussion post - but might wait til tomorrow for that. (it's open, but week 2 really doesn't start til - I dunno? Tomorrow night? Monday morning? lol the post and the journal link aren't due til Thursday in any case!)

Alex put a new air filter in the van last night, and I picked up fuel injector cleaner and so I'll put that in today and take the van to our cookie booth, we'll see how that goes. Hopefully one of those will do it!

Meanwhile, this morning I took Iz and Lily to get their pictures taken with baby chicks, they were so excited! Lily more than Isabelle, Iz was afraid to move them haha. She was so happy to pet and hold them, but she was afraid to move with them :P Which, I can't blame her! They were less than a week old, and super super cute!

We're having corned beef and roasted cauliflower for dinner tonight, I'm kind of excited :P

I'm making hamburger stew. Got the potatoes and carrots in the crock pot with tomatoes soup and sauce. Will cook and add ground beef later. Maybe some mixed veg too. Might make cornbread to go with. Or yeast rolls. Hmmm...

Congrats!! Every time I try lately I get lost in one or two moves. I remember getting through it several times in my early years....

As for dinner, I decided to try to make a few things each weekend that I can freeze part of for meals later on. So chili and stew this weekend. I have three frozen bowls of chili and one bigger one in the fridge that I will freeze in a few days if we don't eat it. I will do the same with the rest of the stew after dinner tonight.

Argh. Maybe I shouldn't have used to crock pot. Or maybe I didn't use enough water. But the potatoes and carrots were crunchier than I liked. Edible tho. Leaving what's in the crockpot to cook longer. You would think 5hrs would be enough to cook them on low. Lol oh well.

Bites my tongue Is there a way to block seeing a person's comments or comments directed to a person another person is friends with on Facebook? I am not friends with this person. Someone I am friends with is friends with them and I do not want to see their derogatory remarks on anything posted by my friend. (I will explain further if desired. But right now am biting my tongue on here AND on Facebook)

go to the persons profile on fb underneath where it says message there should be 3 grey dots click on the dots and it comes up with 3 options click on block you wont see anything posted by them and they wont see anything posted by you. hope this helps :(
