Well, they all do THEIR laundry, but I just wanted her to toss the towels in because she uses like four or five kitchen towels to dry the dishes so I didn't want to do them BEFORE she did the dishes. And she uses a bunch of actual towels with each shower, so like.. we needed towels :P
Preschool kids are just weird :P
I air dry my dishes. Even the ones in the dishwasher because for some reason even tho I have it in the heat dry cycle, half the stuff doesn't get dry. So I prop it open and let it air dry And whatever I hand wash air dries too.
I wash all towels separate from clothes. Except white ones they do get all washed together but that's mostly socks. But I don't wash colored kitchen or bath towels with clothes unless I NEED to wash now and want a full load. And that's rare.
I'm not sure why people use more than one towel? I mean I can see two, possibly. One for body one for hair. But I just dry off my body then use that towel to wrap my hair and then towel dry it after I get dressed.
She puts one over the bath mat, one for her body, one for her hair. Even though I've told her not to. Even though I've told her that if she DOES that, she has to hang them to dry..
and yes, we don't wash towels with clothes either, towels get washed separately. hence why I wanted her to wash them :P
Well, ours air dry for 12 hours sometimes and still aren't dry soooooo that doesn't work well haha.

:o oh my. thats a lot of damp I guess (for the dishes!) I might hand dry them too.
why put one over the bath mat??? Absorbing water from dripping on the floor is exactly what the bath mat is FOR??? Strange child. I'm a little weird, I will not reuse a towel, so I don't hang them to dry. I mean, I know lots of people who do, use a towel to dry off after a shower/bath two or even three times before washing it, but once and done for me. I have 5 towels for myself (I keep meaning to go buy a few more or just a whole new weeks worth and donate the old ones but...) and I think Nathan has 6 in his main color? And then like 5-6 others in the other kids colors that got left here that are still useable. LOL
congrats!! I'm just a little older than you on here lol 16 years, 5 months, 1 week, 3 days
Well see, using it once would be fine.. if you only used one a shower! :P
I'll use mine two or three times though, or I'll use my body shower from the last time to dry my hair and feet the second time.
Yeah, they're awfully wet and I don't know why haha. But I'm sick of our plates and bowls ALWAYS have puddles inside them so like.. they've gotta get dried and put away :P
Oof, that is a long day Kat! But.. now it's break!!
This morning I got up and put my laundry away, then I stopped at the DG and picked up chocolate bunnies and a bag of chocolates and some fuzzy socks for their mom.. she reached out to the church and said she was having a hard time with food, so we filled 8 bags of groceries for her, and she has four kids, so Robin asked me to take some stuff out of the egg hunt stuffers for the kids.. but I figure everyone at least needs a chocolate bunny?!
Then work, then I came home and made four carrot cake layers (hot freaking mess btw, thankfully two layers turned out, so that'll be fine for Sunday!), and then made a lasagna and garlic knots. Then we dyed eggs (ok well, mostly the kids. Connor did one, too :P), now they're all watching Rise of the Guardians and I am finally sitting tf down :P
Tomorrow is a big egg hunt at the park, idk if we'll go.. and then our big funday with egg hunt at the church. I need to remember to bring our photo backdrops, I'm supposed to set up the spot for the bunny pictures.
Oh boy! Busy weekend for you!!
My Easter will be....setting out a basket of candy and snacks for Nathan. Then he'll leave to go camping with his friends. Not even an Easter dinner. Oh well. That's how it goes when they grow up I guess. Katie said she's coming down next weekend tho so we'll have the confetti eggs then. Oh I think I already said that. Eh.
Anyway. So sweet of y'all to do that for that mom and her kids. I know she'll appreciate it. And yes. Everyone needs a chocolate bunny at Easter!!!
Not even an Easter dinner?! Is your neighbor going anywhere? If not, maybe you two can do something special?
We're doing toad in a hole for breakfast, but.. with french toast. Except only Elly and Alex really eat it like that, I just like my fancy cut out french toast, same with Iz, Lily wants her egg but NOT in the french toast, etc :P And scrapple and sausage.
We're bringing carrot cake, green bean casserole and part of a relish tray to my in laws, and stuff for the egg hunt there. Though the bunny will hide eggs around our house tonight too.. and fill baskets I suppose :P
I dunno. I thought about asking her. Her sister is coming today tho she said, so maybe she's doing dinner with her.
I love french toast. With powdered sugar, not syrup. AND with strawberries and bananas, like at IHOP! YUM!
I got Nathans basket all set up, and Katie/Wesleys too. Will put Nathans on the table in the morning because I know I'll wake up before him. Nathan got two chocolate bunnies , jelly beans, Slim Jims, a rainbow peeps plushie with peeps, two Reign energy drinks, and some easter gummies. (I couldn't remember if they prefer the hollow ones or solid bunnies, I think hollow but I got both, I don't think he eats peeps anymore but I know he is still all about rainbows if you know what I mean...so the plushie, we had to start buying Monsters because Walmart stopped selling the Reign, and he likes those better, I found a couple flavors being sold in single cans this morning so bought 2) Katie and Wes got peeps, hollow chocolate bunnies (I have one extra solid one in case), Wes got sweet tart ropes in two flavors, and some random chocolate bars (because Katie says he likes chocolate with high cocoa content, and these have this but I didn't know what flavor and I couldn't' find Andes which was the other thing she said he liked). She got Ferrero Rocher's chocolates in a bunny case but I am going to make her share two with me, because is a variety and I don't think i've had those flavors LOL The stuff I sent to Anna and Shane included peeps, reeces peices carrot bags, jelly beans and chocolate bunnies. :) And they all got confetti eggs of course LOL
Edit 6am You found 40 CSC in the pool! Day 25
Oooh! Here the bunny brought squishmallows for Iz and Lily, sandals for all three, and Iz and Lily got cotton candy and El got a small bag of lindor eggs. Oh, and perler beads and some tiny stuff. And El got smelly stuff for their room.
Then then eggs ofc :P

Happy Easter guys!
Happy Easter!! Nathan has come out and eaten his gummies for breakfast. Said he's probably taking the rest on the camping trip :P
Cute squishmallows! I saw some adorable small ones in the store but I can't see paying those prices for a little stuffy!! :o What are perler beads?
I know I'm supposed to be on "break" but I just went in and made notes from all the presentations (for some reason the teacher isn't posting it in pptx from which I can print, so I had to read through the presentation and write up my own notes! Which means I wrote down everything on the slides hahahah) Then I printed the "study guide" (which she gives so we know what types of things will be on the quiz) and printed all the notes, and now just have to read chapter 4 and then take the exam. Probably tomorrow. Maybe later tonight depending. Oh I also turned in my book discussion, since it was already done, and I was online anyway. So yea. Then Tech class is going to be a bit more challenging this week - I have to do 6-16 :o page interactive lesson. I really hope the reading/videos explain how to do all that :o I will stick with 6 pages, as I'm doing stuff for my grade level, preK!!! Glad I am home all week....i'll have time to figure it out! Also to look ahead and see if any other projects will take more time like this!! :o (and now watch me get it done in like 2 days because its way easier than I am thinking or something hahahah)
These were $20 for the big ones, so not too bad! And I bought 5 of the normal sized ones for $5.95 the other day for the kids egg hunt at the in laws, so that's not too bad either, I don't think.
Perler beads are the beads you put on the little pokey board things then iron. Iz has already done two of hers and is working on a third, she loves them. Hers are animals, Lily got Gnomes and El got butterflies and stuff.
Ooooh, we had french toast toad in a hole (OK, well.. Alex and Elly did. Lily had french toast with an egg on the side, Iz had just french toast, and I had just the middles of Ellys and Alexs :P), scrapple and sausages, and sparkling grape juice and chocolate milk haha.
I think it'll probably end up being way easier than you're thinking.. or hopefully, at least!
OH! I remember those. I loved them when I was younger! lol
Nah, not too bad I guess. I think everything just costs more now days. Used to be able to get a stuffy for a dollar, if it was around the size of your hand. Regular size was like $5 and the big ones were $10-15! LOL I'm old I guess. I got the kids so many dollar stuffies when they were little I think they ended up not liking stuffies (except Katie) Tho they are ok with an occasional one. Also they just grew up so I don't think they're as interested in them anymore anyway hahah! I still like them. But I don't buy them for myself because I think "What am I going to do with that? Stick it in my closet? Don't bother." I do have a few that I put out as decorations tho. And the same for shirts. I saw a really cute solar eclipse shirt I wanted to get online (on facebook) but I was like, WHEN will I ever wear it??? Don't buy it just to hang it in your closet.
Happy Easter guys ❤ hope you and the kids have had a great day on the Easter Egg Hunt at your MIL Mieke and I hope you enjoyed lunch.
Whew Kat that sounds like a lot of work for class :P but I know you will have it under control and get it all done on time, glad Nathan enjoyed his gummies congrats on the 40 CSC :D
You have visited the bathhouse 20 days in a row! You found 30 CSC in the pool!
Whoop yay for csc for you Chelle!!
I got invited over to play cards with my neighbor and her sister and then she did invite me for supper too but she's put garlic all over the roast and was going to put it in the mashed potatoes so I declined. Garlic is one of the things that sets my IBS off if I eat too much of it .. was nice to be asked. Parmesan noodles for me for dinner I guess. I felt like something easy.
Y'all.
I drowned a double shot of whiskey in half a glass of blackberry ginger ale in about 5 minutes.
I wish we would have stayed home LOL. My MiL was.. herself. You know we talked about the relish tray at the beginning of the week? Well, I messaged her and said we'd bring some marinated kalamata olives, at least. She was all excited. We found some other fancy ones in our cupboard, so brought those with us too, and some leftover sliced cheese and summer sausage. Well, she goes "THEY said they weren't bringing anything else, I'm not putting them out!". Like, ok, whatever, that's fine, we'll bring them home but like.. wtf.
Also everyone was just.. SO. loud. SO SO LOUD. Obnoxious. Was much better after the drink and going outside, though :P
OH AND. Rachel and I had everything all set up for the egg hunt, she made 5 little goodie bags of candy and finger puppets and a big squishy thing, I had the 5 squishmallows and bubbles and light up things.
Well, we get there and my MiL says Ashley asked THIS MORNING if she could bring her two friends and their daughter. We were doing 5 sets of eggs, one color for each kid because they didn't have stuff in them but we had extras so we figured it out eventually, and we just.. took stuff out of each bag and made her up a slightly smaller one, it was fine whatever we made it work.
But also she had said that Akira had spent like half the morning stuffing eggs and showed me a picture.. and then said that no, after all, akira didn't do that and she didn't have eggs? I don't even freaking know anymore.
It was just miserable.
... I did win $20 in one of the games Ashley brought though, so.. that was fun? :P
Aww gees Mieke that is all levels of wrong. First, she asks you to bring more, you tell her you aren't BUYING anything thing else, but find some things at your house to bring, but then she won't use them? Eh ok whatever, like you said, take it back home. But to be rude about it? Next, who the heck adds an extra child KNOWING ahead of time the plan was set up to accommodate ONLY a specific amount of kids? Imagine if you could not have accommodated that child. She'd have felt so upset over not getting anything when all the other kids did. And I can imagine the other kids may feel a bit upset over having to share out their prizes as well :( (Well if they realized they did anyway) And how the heck does she show you a picture of Akira stuffing eggs, if Akira didn't do it? Why would Akira stuff eggs if the eggs were not going to have stuff in them, because the stuff was in the goody bags? (and what the heck happened to the eggs Akira stuffed if your MIL no longer has the eggs?) LOL WEIRD!!!! Whatever. In-Laws are annoying. Yes yes yes. (it does seem to me that you'd really rather NOT spend as much time with them as you do?)
I will just say I am glad I do not have to do anything with my ex-in-laws at all anymore. The one anyway. Sounds like your MIL and her would get along great :P I never minded his dad and June, although we never really saw them except at Christmas anyway either.
What games did Ashley bring that ya'll played? I just play for fun, I've never played for money...hmmm We played Phase-10 last night. I bought DOS Saturday at walmart (uno game, 2nd version, all about TWOS!! some special cards, special rules) Me and Nathan played it yesterday a few times...Robin and I will get together later this week to play. Her sister has some memory issues, so even tho its similar to Uno, we decided not to try to have her learn a new game.
Apparently Akira stuffed eggs for games over at Ashleys house.. but that's not what she said?! IDK. And then she wanted the kids to dye eggs. OK,. fine! She didn't have any news paper though, didn't really want to shell out on their lifetime supply of paper towels, then got mad when they got egg dye on the table. Like.. What did you expect?
Yes, I WOULD prefer to not spend as much time with them as I do :P
Oooh, we have Dos! I find it hard to play sometimes because I forget what it is haha.
The first one had a spinner board with eggs on it, you spun it and got whatever egg the arrow was pointing to. That was pretty fun, except Akira got pretty pissy with Lily because of something. So. Meh :P
The next one had eggs on strings through a cup, you pulled a string and whatever one you pulled you got..
Apparently another one was memory, I left during the cup game because it was loud af. But there were lots of solo cups and it was basically just.. memory. And you got the prizes.
And then the last one you were blindfolded and had 10 seconds to use a pair of tongs to pick up big eggs, (one hand) and you got the prizes for all the eggs you got in the basket. That's the one I got all the money in haha.
I started using trash bags over the table as I don't have newspaper either. I do use my paper towels tho, to soak up spills. It's that or dye my towels so no thank you to that!!
Oh those sound like fun games to play. Tho I do imagine it could get loud. I have seen some videos of some family playing that type of stuff online, tho it seems random and not related to holidays most of the time.
edit: finished reading my literature chapter and took the quiz. 15 questions, 20 points. I have 7/20 points because only 7 of the questions were multiple choice hahaha so I have to wait and see how the "type in your response" questions get graded. Now looking at the tech class. Seems to me that we have to learn how to use Nearpod or PearDeck and make an interactive lesson with them. Oh boy. Yay. Interactive google slides for the win. What fun. (Not really).
Also, called my lawn mower guy back up. He came last week (Thursday) and took my riding mower and my push mower, and told me he'd have the push mower back Friday. (It needed a new primer pump button and nothing else as far as I know). He didn't bring it back. I let it go til today because I don't NEED it, but did want to use it this week to mow around the front porch and the dogs areas. He will bring it in a bit (around noon) he says and he will talk to me about the mower deck on the riding mower that he is going to replace for me. YAY spend more money :P But I have to have a riding mower for this acre of land. Its too much to mow with a push mower!
edit: Got the lawnmower back (push mower). mowed Belle's runner line area. Hands hurt a little now hahaha its been a while since I used a mower.
Also. YES> the project was VERY MUCH simpler than I thought it would be. I did 11 pages (er well, slides, I hope slides count as pages?) :P It did take me 4+ hours to read through the material and watch all the videos he posted tho. I then did the journal entry and submitted it, then did the project and submitted it both as an assignment and in the discussion board as he'd asked us to do. I did a VERY simple lesson on shapes hahaha Basically I had to do a powerpoint or google slides, but then use nearpod or peardeck to make it interactive. So like, I did a title slide (SHAPES! Ms. Christan's Class) and then on the next slide I put a triangle and put "speaker notes" ("This is a triangle. A triangle has THREE sides, and THREE corners, which are also called vertices.") Then I put TWO shapes (circle, triangle) on the next slide, which I made an interactive slide and the directions are for the kids to drag a dot onto the shape we discussed - so after flipping to that slide I would say "Choose the shape that has THREE sides" or "Which shape is the triangle?" and they drag the dot to a shape. And so on...through Circle, Triangle, Square, Rectangle, Hexagon.
Anyway. So now I just have to do the regular discussion board post, and then reply to 2 people...and I have to reply to 1 person on the literature discussion post (once more people have posted on both of those!)
