i did and 9:26 am on a sunday morning i already washed the windows. The sun was on them and ugh they where dirty after the 3 storms from last week. Clean now, washing machine is doing his thing now. Sound like yours is not ok...
I am not an early bird but i sleep crap and wake up to early, also thanks to the boys (Mezz & Mooz, my cats) and then i can't sleep anymore and just go out of bed. Some days i am lazy on my couch other days i am productive.
Oh Proff. Lupin... he is great!
i re-read them often, more books i like. Can't do audio when i am working (nurse, for now).
:)
Darn wardrobe issues. Keeps loading and i want to change my zombie skin... Hope they fix it soon. But i have time to think of what i want next... maybe dolly dreadfull
Your cats names are adorable! I have a 12 yr old Golden Lab mix named Emma, I've had her since she was 10 weeks old. Ah yes, you are normally on your feet a lot then. I was sitting behind a computer doing data entry while listening to the HP books. Snape will always be a favorite of mine
Sometimes I can get my 3 yr old to go back to sleep if he decides to wake up early, but most of the time it is "I am up, we'll both nap later" Yup! Once he gets a job, he'll have to get used to those hours. If he really wants too sleep in, there is 3rd shift work. I've done it once for about a month and I didn't like it, but it helped some with being able to get appointments and other errands done during the day.
oh I love dogs to! My parent had dogge, German shepherds, very friendly. I have young cats about a year and a half old. Got Meez when he was 12 weeks and Mooz at 10 weeks. Both from different homes but got them 2 days apart.
Oh Snape he is great! Alan Rickman played him so well
- goodness, you make me tired just thinking of all the cleaning. it's been a lazy morning. listened to the news and then my book for a bit. thinking of going back and listening to more of the book as i'm just not feeling like dealing with survival today. did your kitties jump on you this morning? they're like little kids . :D
- yeah, but he's still got a year of high school to get through before he has to worry about that. :) i loved working night shift. when i worked it in the er it was nuts but when i worked it in the cardiac care floor it was nice and quiet. no one to bug you while you're trying to finish up orders. plus, i frequently got to read when everything else was done. :)
Hey everyone! How is everyone doing?
I've been obsessing over the Ukraine news this weekend. I have two Russian FB friends and one of them is pro Putin, but the other is against war. The pro Putin one really seems to believe that everything is NATO's fault :( I'm also been reading a book to stop myself from obsessing so much. It's called Featherweight by Mick Kitson, and I'm really into it.
I love your HA :) I also really enjoyed listening to the HP books. I've never ready them, just listened to them multiple times over. I listened to the ones narrated by Stephen Fry.
lol well the sun was on the windows and after 3 storms the week before my windows where dirty! And after that Ibecame a coach potato. Reading a book is always nice. My cats put there nose in my face or ear and jump on me… nutters. They are so sad they never get any food or cuddles, lol!
I only watch the news at 6pm want to keep it fun with these sad times. Oh wow how weird that the one is saying it’s nato fault… Never heard of that book, worth it?
Very busy week for me today, only Thursday off and working the whole week and weekend full day shifts. You can pick me up on Sunday afternoon.., And tomorrow marks my last month at my job… Weird, sad, glad I am having mixed feelings
I'm doing good. Just finished watching The Sopranos last night. I was, of course, forewarned of the cut to black but didn't expect the 11 seconds of black screen afterwards. It's a good show, started watching it after me and Brian watched the prequel movie.
Cockatiel poop has been looking off for a few days. Since birds tend to hide when they're sick until things are REALLY REALLY bad, poop is an early warning system. Since I added a new treat, seeing if removing it will make things better.
- listening to them is as good as reading them ;) i bet stephen frye did a great job narrating them. the complete collection of sherlock holmes i have is narrated by him and it's wonderful. featherweight... is that about boxing? is it good? i've heard that russia's media is heavily cecensored and the news only tells what the state gives it permission to tell. at least that's what i've heard on cnn. so your fb friend is a product of their misinformation campaign. sad.
- didn't you know when you got them that your whole world was supposed to revolve around them? lol your kitties are so cute. good luck in the coming week. of course you're having mixed feelings. it's a huge change. if you didn't have mixed feelings i'd worry about you. are your co-workers upset about you leaving?i hope you have a good week. :D
The book is a historical fiction story, so if you're into that I'd say it's worth reading. It takes place in the 1840s in industrialised England and is indeed about boxing, but sofar it's not just about boxing.
The pro putin FB friend has loved in at least three European countries and teaches at universities, that's why it was very surprising to me that they would not be critical of the news.
Emory, it's completely normal to have mixed feelings. When I leave this job it will be the same for me. You will probably feel this way until after your last day and then it will just be relief.
I have actually not seen that, but I should. Right now I'm rewatching The marvelous Mrs Maisel before starting the new season.
heard good stuff from that show but never watched it... maybe i should. But re-watching outlander (again) as the new season comes out here on the 7th.
hahaha lol i did not know that :P Will be a busy week and thanks i know i can feel this way. My co-workers are not happy i am leaving and want me to stay, ahh that is so nice. But it's driving me crazy every individual person is asking why i am leaving. I understand they want to know but been telling the story for ages now, lol Oh well.
sounds good to me (book). Like early age stuff even in tv shows (outlander, downton abbey). And your pro putin friend is just weird..
Wow hello march! Where did february go?
Today i am 5 years with my current boss. Mixed feeling as this is also my last month with them.
- that makes me wonder exactly what in the putin propoganda hooked your pro-putin friend considering how educated and traveled they are. i love historical fiction, especially when it's based in britain. who's the author? and what is Ms. Maisel about?
- :P you're lucky. i wish i could have a cat but hubby says no. he says i'll step on it by accident or trip over it. he's probably right but i still want one. XD hang in there, chic. you're on the home stretch. don't let your co-workers talk you out of leaving. instead, talk them into either leaving or pressing for better working conditions. have you told your favorite residents you're going yet? it won't be easy but letting them know is better than the reaction they'll have if you leave without saying anything.good luck :D
- did removing the treat do the trick?:)
lol just keep bugging your hubby for a cat. A cat adjust to you and will move out of the way when you can and will understand you can't see. Adopt one from the pound an ólder' cat understand more then the very young. My first 2 cats also came from pounds. But after my last cat died the pound was difficult.. i could not get another cat as i was not home much.. hello you gave me cats before... Anyway long story short i got Meez & Mooz from 2 people who had kittens and they are doing great!
Pff it's weird these last few days at work.. hope it will get better and i will leave ok. I did tell my favorite residents i am leaving, they are not amused...
You should :)
My husband watches The Marvelous Ms Maivel. I don't usually watch comedies, but from the few parts of I've seen it looks enjoyable.
The show is good and I'd recommend it. There was one death I didn't like because the character deserved a way worse fate XD
I began the series loving him and by a certain point I'm crying out for his blood XD
Outlander is on Starz, right? I didn't watch the series before we cancelled our subscription. There weren't many shows that I liked on that channel. One big one was American Gods but after the second season...yeah...
The color has changed so hoping it'll become more solid.
will see if i can find it here. Outlander here (NL) is on Netflix. You should watch downton abbey to.
- i grew up with cats (and dogs, ducks, rabbits, chickens, and one onery goose). hubby did too. so i don't understand his reluctance. my blindness is a thin excuse and he knows it. if i'mable to convince him , we'll get a pound cat.i know how your favorite residents feel. when i got sick iended up needing a lot of rehabilitation andd therapy. so i went from medical hospital to a rehabilitation hospital that had a nursing home attached to it. 56 months. i got to know the nurses, doctors, aides, and therapists rather well. it was sad to see a favorite move on to a better job. i misssed them when they left. hang in there. the end is in sight. ❤
i love your new forum title. how'd you get it? :D
- i hope your birdie is feeling better.
I've heard Downtown Abby is good. I'm not rushing to watch it but I plan to watch it someday.
Thanks :)
Birds all seem to be doing well and poop is getting back to normal :)
oh well as you both grew up with animals (me to) he has to give in and get you a cat. Oh wow you where long in care, you are better now? And you are right you know everyone and connect with them, will miss them. Still hanging in... 1 day off today. Slept crap and short. Dentist later on this morning, check up.
-checks how i got forum title- Oh it's under books in achievements, 9 from above. You need to read a few books to your pet.
i loved! Started watching when the pandemic was bad here and we where in lockdown it was on tv and i started to watch it (most of the time i am late in finding good tv shows). Just bought the dvd with the whole show and movie. Now i am waithing for the 2nd movie to come out in may
- yay for normalizing bird poo... (ok, that's just wrong to say 😆 )
- yep, i'm much better now. i was in the hospital most of 2015. had a year of home health after that. it's weird, though because i've been on both sides - caregiver and patient. it's good that you told them a month before you actually leave. it'll give them time to come to terms with it and give you a proper good-bye. :) a day in isn't a bad thing. i didn't know all of downton abbey could fit onto one dvd.is there only 1 season? you have netlix, right? two good shows that were on netflix here are supernatural and shameless.:D you mean i only have to read books to my pet to get that title? runs off...
...not the oddest thing I've heard today...
I got Brian into Supernatural through Netflix =D
I am glad you are doing better. And yes they now have time to asjust that i am leaving. Downton Abbey dvd collection i have is 6 seasons and the 1st movie. Not sure if we have shameless but not supernatural (love that show), wish they would air it as i missed a few seasons.
Last day at work with a responsible service shift and i also i am Emergency Response Officer today. Pff i will be glad when it's 3:30 those extra pagers and keys i am not going to miss.
