I don't know how anyone in a marching band can keep the co-ordination between marching in step and playing their instrument - I'd have to just concentrate on one or the other laughs

Same here, it looks really difficult! For our independence day celebrations there are always marching bands in the parades and other events... so she would spend all day on her feet playing. She hated it. lol

I tried manually tuning it to the keyboard, but you need a really good ear for music to get it accurate! In the end, I found a tuner that clips onto the end of the guitar neck - when you play a note, it shows on the tuner what note you've played (compared to the note it should be, if it's really out of tune), so you can loosen / tighten the string to get the note tuned in without needing to hear the difference ;)

I can't blame her on hating that! But it must have been a great thing to watch as well as listen to them ;)

I can tune it reasonably well by ear (not 100% accurately, but close enough to sound 'right'), but that's also a disadvantage to have a good ear for music.... when someone in the house is whistling along to the radio but slightly out of tune, it really drives me crazy 😊 That's awesome news from your doc :D :D

I'm no way near as talented with that as the boy I was at school with - he could listen to a short piece of music then play it back perfectly on the piano (but as he never learnt to read music, he wasn't able to take music grades, as that relies on sight-reading the music)

I think it's possible to develop more of an 'ear' for music, but it definitely helps if you have a slight skill in the first place ;) But then if you had a talent for singing & dancing, you might not have been so good at knitting! :P

That is true, not everyone knows how to knit or crochet, but you can learn. Most things takes practice. :)
