the most frustrating thing was that I'd previously knitted while watching tv and not made any mistakes.... yet the project I kept purling on the wrong rows, wasn't one when I'd been watching tv at all 😊

As long as you've finished it before the summer, as I bet it'd feel way too warm to want to knit the last bits then! ;)

I never played in a band, but I did take keyboard lessons for a while, was never that good at it since my fingers were so short I had trouble with certain things. lol

My eye i starting to look and feel a bit better, so I am pleased with that. :) :snugs:

Our school band just consisted of me on the recorder (or later on the flute), someone on drums (for a couple of years), two playing clarinet, and one playing saxophone (she was a bit older than me, so she wasn't in there long) :P I've been playing the keyboard since primary school, but my fingers definitely aren't long enough to reach an octave! I've got a piano book, but some of the tunes are impossible for me to play as-written simply because I can't reach that far ;)

I am glad I am not the only one that had that issue learning to play the keyboard! I had to use this button on the keyboard that let you play (chords?) with just one finger or somethingI think it was? It has been a while. :P I still have small hands. lol

I could never get the hang of one-finger chords - I always hit the wrong one 😊 but I can reach most of the chords as long as I change the key I start on for some (I try and stick to the same kind of point on the keys so I don't have to keep looking at my hand to work out where I need to be for the next chord change!)

Small hands come in handy for the 'sopranino' recorder though (that's smaller than the standard descant that most kids play at primary school over here) ;)

Hehe... I guess you are right. I never tried playing those kind of instruments. :) I did get to try my friends tuba... was really difficult to get a descent sound of of it. More so than I thought it would be.

hehe well that does help ;) I think it's partly finding the 'right' instrument too ;) I don't think I could get any kind of note from a tuba! My teacher got me to try the trombone, but it was a nightmare to get any kind of sound from it 😊 I don't think I'm cut out for brass instruments laughs

I have never really been musicially inclined either. My parents decided to buy me and my brother a keyboard for whatever reason, and we took lessons for a while.

You sure need good lungs to play the tuba I found. :) My friend was quite good at it, but it took a lot of practice obviously. :)

Going to be interesting to see how big she is going to be all grown up. :) Looks like such a sweetheart. ❤

My dad likes playing the guitar, but what he actually likes doing is just strumming randomly (he's never wanted to learn the notes or chords) :P And plenty of upper body strength to hold it while playing as well, I can imagine!! ;)
