- i don't like coffee so no loss there. i can't have caffeine so mt dew and most sodas and regular teas are out too. i drink a lot of uncaffeinated green raspberry tea, chai, and crystal lite peach tea. i miss my mt dew though.i'm going to ask my hubby to download your book for me. i tried earlier and couldn't navigate through amazon's site. they say they are accessiblefor the disabled but they never include the blind in that description. too many links, drop down boxes, radio buttons, and check boxes that my screen reader gets stuck. happens on facebook and gmail too. i'd love to teach them what true accessibility is like. lol

We just got the Christmas tree up. Both sort of nervous as this will be the first year Ghost and Jorah will see a Christmas tree. We didn't put one up last year.

The birds would probably love the tree! lol Birds and trees go together, and lots of things to play with would make it extra fun! :)

I've had Christmas trees with the cats before, and some years not so bad, but usually rough. This year we have five kittens of various ages tho, and that gives me pause - and lots of paws - so not sure I want to put myself through that. lol But I love the lights and decorating, and this time of year is always so special and never lasts long enough. So maybe...

We had a Christmas with Peep where we had a Christmas tree, so we know what to expect. Just...each bird is different so fresh hell could be unleashed XD

Edit: Also past Christmas trees with other birds.

I remember one Christmas tree with my cat Snowflake (or Venus), she climbed into the tree during her first year XD

i have no idea that line is called tht way. It's a scented candle, it's nice but not for a long period i find it to heavy then.

Ugh almost 5am, 2 more hours to go in my nightshift and it has been busy and also had a client who was agressive (due a delirium) and hurt me and my co-worker.. (grabbed our wrists and hands with great force, will be bruised tomorrow). Tired, sore and want to go home... 2,5 hours to go.

[edit] Slept just 2 hours as they boys kept waking me and the delivery man rang the bell at 10:30am... got up at 11am. Slept on the couch from 1 till 3pm. Just had a shower and now hungry so dinner time. My left arm has finger marks on it, not mad at the client but still hurts. I hope they did something today for him. Did write it up as it is/was a safe hazzard.

Hey everyone! I haven't been able to post all week, because I was in bed with a bad flu. Had to wait three days until I could get a covid test, which luckily was negative. I've finally gotten some of my energy back although I'm still very tired. It feels like my immune system has been on pause for almost two years, because I've mainly been at home and have gone to the office only a few times. Now that I was hit with something it takes me much longer to get better than it used to :(

You didn't have a nice shift. I hope you'll have a better one tonight. I remember my mom working the night shifts and always struggling to get enough sleep.

it was crap last night. And luckly i just had 1 night so not tonight and in bed early tonight. I think i will be in bed soon.

that's lucky! I will probably go back to bed soon as well. I'm still very tired from the flu, and tomorrow I will prepare some stuff for Sinterklaas. Like last year I will make some soup and small finger foods for dinner so we can unwrap the gifts during dinner. But I still have to buy all the food I'm making.

- i'm sorry yougot sick. that sucks. glad it's not covid, though. homemade soup sounds yummy. i think i'll bug someone to make some for dinner tonight. :)

- turned out that he needed to sign in our account in order to get a copy. so easy for him. :p i bet your birds are going to love the tree. hopefully it'll tire them out so they're easy to catch when you want to put them back in their cages. :)

- i like scented candles as long as the scent is subtle and not floral. the scent of flowers makes me sneeze. i'm sorry you had a bad night at work. i remember dealing with those kinds of patients when i worked the night shift. they don't always know what they're doing and it's kind of sad. hopefully you'll get a good night's sleep tonight. :D

All four have been interested by the tree but that haven't touched it. Peep (eldest parakeet) has flown really close to it to the point we thought he was going to perch.

Both cockatiels are acting like they're on an episode of the X-Files when they get close to it.

My arm and writs are better today. Had a long sleep, still tired though
