So cool! Where doe you get the inspiration? I've been thinking of picking up writing for the last year, but I'm having trouble finding a topic/inspiration so I'm stuck on that feeling.

That sounds tough. Right at the beginning of the pandemic when there were no tests available yet I had some coworkers who got very ill after visiting a risk area and they refused to stay home and come into work to cough on everyone. I remember being so upset with them risking the health of other persons. If it were my dad I don't know how I would feel....

It depends. I have a story for a nostalgic zentu that was inspired by a classic Dr. Who episode.

Elsy was inspired by a popular indie game.

Loveday is a combination of a simple idea I had plus stuff inspired by another TV show I watched.

I get the lack of inspiration. I had a long period where I wasn't up to writing. Then I got inspiration when the latest Cash Shop battle opponent came out....and was finally able to finish a pet story that I had started several months ago.

no booster shots here (yet, maybe soon?). I don't mind wearing a mask just itches a bit i have a scentsy home-made for me. At work we (nurse in nursing home) use the special ones. But as work is warm (people have thet heat on high and the building is warm to) it's not that fun wearing one.

- finished cold days last night and felt kind of ambivalent towards it. i don'tlike the way murphy is acting towards harry.you'd think that him "dying" would have been enough of a wake-up call that she'd stop waffling. but no... ugh.

I went to read Elsy's story but I couldn't figure out the indie game it was based on. I've never watched the classic Dr. Who, but I can see how any Dr. Who episode can inspire a story. Right now I put all my inspiration into my homebrew DnD campaign. I have to figure out how the bad guys are going to proceed in tormenting the good guys now that my party has stopped one of their ruses. My next session in this friday so I better get on it...

It was released around the latter half of 2020 and is a rhythm based game. One of its inspirations was Rhythm Heaven.

I haven't finished the story yet, so that might play a role in why you can't figure out the game yet.

The Dr. Who episode I was inspired by is from the First Doctor's run. It's when they visit the Aztecs.

I was glad he was okay in the end. I don't know how I'd react if it was more serious.

Yeah and Harry died when they were going to finally try at being a couple. But I guess the whole 'will they or won't they' is such a big draw in series. A lot of authors don't seem to grasp that you can have a healthy relationship while still making it interesting.

- you're doing better than me. lol my house is in need of a good cleaning.it won't happen , though. not unless i hire someone to do it. i have no influence on their need to clean because i can't see the dirt. the place is more like a college dorm. their view is out of sight , out of mind. lol

- i figured he did it that way to string along the harry/murphy shippers. he's trying to play to all crowds in that respect and it's wearing thin. as my pa used to say "sht or get off the pot". i'm onto shadowed souls. it's a collection of short stories in which butcher participated. the dresdon files story included is good and provides more background. have you read it? some of the other stories are good , too, but some of them smack of fan-fiction. that's ok but they should note it if that's the case.

well it had to happen and with 2 cats. Plus i had the time and wanted to do it. Otherwise it's a quick vacuum and done.

I haven't seen it, but I've heard lots of bashing towards that season. Especially one specific episode... A LOT of fans want that episode retconned.

The last season I watched was around the time Clara was the companion.

With having vertigo, I haven't been able to clean the glass table. It really has built up a lot of junk over the year and needs a good cleaning. I'm using it as my reward for a full recovery xD

I haven't gotten to any of the short stories. And with a short story collection with multiple authors...the quality with those can really fluctuate story to story.

I watched the first half of the Dr. Who season with Jodie, but it was really not good, so I didn't continue. It wasn't the actress who played the doctor, because I'm sure she's a good actress. The writing was just subpar. There were three companions and they all had very little interaction with each other. I think three was just too much. I did like that one of them had dyspraxia, because I have dyspraxia myself and this was the first time I saw a character on screen with that. But I read that they're bringing back the old producer, so I'm hoping next season will be better.

I just uploaded my latest book to Amazon so now I'm waiting for both the Kindle and Paperback versions to pass review. Kindle was already approved but then I realized a stupid mistake in the summary so I had to put it back in review. I'll have to make the same changes to the Paperback version because they both had the same summaries XD

So I'll be nervous until both versions are through the review process XD

I'm glad to hear about the show from someone on here personally. Let's just say the show has been bashed a lot by the...less liberal crowd and I wanted to know if those complaints were actually justified. Like, they REALLY, REALLY want one episode from Jodie's run retconned entirely.

Mornin' KSrs Feeling better now that I'm a few days out from my booster. Winter is making a short appearance here and then we'll go back to autumn again. Not ready for winter. Never really ready for winter.

The writing has been sub par especially season one of Jodie's run. The second season was better. I still watch. I enjoyed watching the companions get to know each other. Oddly I think I got more attached to the companions than to Jodie's doctor. Not the actors fault, I like her a lot. It's definitely the writing and sometimes the pacing of an episode. I don't keep up with the fandom. Which do they want retconned?
