I was thinking the same, it is the kinda thing you would except from a parrot, not a budgie! Still must be fun to see his character and the next thing he learns to copy I bet? :)

That must take some skill for him to open it in the first place, but at least he approves of the blanket in there ;)

nods usually when Sparky's trying out some new phrases, you just hear a load of muttering that isn't really possible to figure out what the words are. If he likes the sound of it, he'll work on getting the words more accurate, but sometimes he just seems to not like the sound of it so he never says it again! But because he copies our voices as well, you can usually tell who he learnt it from at least (although some of the things Mum taught him, he now says in Dad's voice :P)

I have seen him do it, he will lay on the floor and kick open the door from under it. lol It is funny to watch.

I love that he mutters. lol He is basically a feathered human at this point. lol I have heard of parrots cursing or even mimicking erm... bedroom noises. I guess you need to be careful what you say around him? :) I think I am glad Pusur can't talk, I can only imagine the things he would say. ;)

nods we had to be careful with Sid as well, although Sid did censor one thing he learnt - Mum had said "you're a pain in the backside" and Sid changed it to "you're a pain in the back Sid" :P But we decided before we got Sid that we'd try hard to not swear in the house, just in case he learnt it!

Sparky has learnt to sneeze like our neighbour (neighbour does a really cartoonish sneeze with a really obvious "a-choooooooooooooo") which is quite comical ;)

Now that would be interesting if Pusur could talk! Although I could imagine most of his conversation would be getting you to fetch things for him / lavish attention on him / get him more food ;)

LOL! To Sid's defence.. Sid and side are kinda similar. 👼 No swearing at all around him might be the safest option then, at least then you know what they say will be family friendly.

Now I would love to hear a video of him doing your neighbours sneeze! That is too funny. Especially if your neighbour neds up hearing Sparky doing it. :P

I will try and video him sneezing, but once he sees the camera, Sparky does tend to come over and pose rather than just carry on chatting! I know the neighbour could hear Sid through the wall before, so I'm assuming he can also hear Sparky 😇 Actually, there's been a couple of unusual things that Sparky's said that must be picked up from something the neighbour has said, that Sparky heard through the walls, as we never say it (like 'goodie, goodie, goodie' and a couple of others I can't think of off-hand).

I was hoping the weather forecast was accurate and it'd be raining (I need to get some photos of Mum wearing the coat I made her, and photos in the rain sounded the most logical), but of course the forecast was totally wrong and we've had bright sunshine all day so far!

@ Raven Ahh, still not sure when I will get my first one. Been feeling okay after the vaccine? My mum got a terrible headache from hers.

aww on the migraine :( After all that, we had some steady rain but of course with the intensely busy day of dealing with post and phone calls, there was no way either of us were going to be able to get those photos done. They're still forecasting thundery showers for tomorrow and Thursday though, so there's still a chance to get them done this week.

:nods: At least when I am trying to sleep and there is noise. I hear next to nothing on one ear without my hearing aids, so I can always put the good ear into the pillow and it becomes quiet(er). ;)

we've actually got quite solid walls between the houses (it's a terrace, so literally from their front room, there's a brick wall, a narrow cavity (big enough for mice and rats to climb up, which is really unnerving when you hear something scampering up between the walls!), another brick wall, then you're in our hallway) but sound carries annoyingly far!

I guess the only disadvantage to that is maybe not hearing the alarm clock when it goes off in the morning? ;)

Doesnt sound like the sound would carry that far, but it must be for some reason. :)

Good news about Pusur! The vet was very happy to tell me his teeth looked fine and he won't need to have more removed for now. :D
