Are you wanting info when we run into stuff that defaults back to the .org site? Because I noticed today when I was entering the collection bag that when I clicked on the "Retrieved extended item information for" on the confirmation page of adding new items, it went to .org instead of .us.

@ everyone: I just noticed this myself but when entering item notes that include a link, I've been entering .org instead of .us - so just be careful of that. LOL I haven't actually been entering it, just copying from existing notes, without changing the address.

-- thanks for letting me know. There are a lot of places where .org is hardcoded in, and I've been tackling them a few at a time (we have until the first week of August). Don't put yourself out looking for places that need to be changed, but if you notice something that still hasn't been changed in a few weeks, definitely let me know then.

I'll change the .org in the item notes automatically, but I want to wait until Vesnali is over.

It was nice. It's not my kind of vacation spot I went to (mountains where it was too cold to go in the lakes/rivers - mostly just pretty views and my bf fishing haha), but it was still good to get away. I hope you had a nice weekend!

[edit] Okay so, I was adding a CW I bought to my SL list and noticed the overlay was missing. I fixed the one, but then I thought I should check on the ones around it....and there's a massive chunk missing their overlays.

I tried the fix overlays link but the page is empty aside from saying "Pick an option from the admin menu to the right!" so I can't use that to correct the missing lots.

It's too many to add by hand so I'm not sure how to fix this =/ ((I did try to re-add them from the cw mass add page but it didn't retrieve the missing info on them))

Try this link. (It should be 'fix_overlays', and not 'fix-overlays' at the end of the URL. If I've linked it incorrectly somewhere, let me know.)

It unfortunately did not solve the issue. I can add them manually if necessary but it'll be slow going.

this is the first no overlay item in the list and it's still showing no overlay.

It's showing "250 successful updates." at the top of the page but still not working (I went back through to 4 pages back which is further than necessary just in case).

Also....I think I just screwed us all because now the most recent items I added are showing no overlay too (they were fine before). It's also taken away all of the overlays for the non-CWs too =/

The problem now starts with item ID: 231176 and runs through the most recent item ID: 232270 all overlays for 1075 items are missing :(

: It's my problem -- the fix_overlays tool is messing up existing overlays. I'm working on it now.

[edit] Bleah. It should be working for now, but I need to put a 'safety net' into the code so that it doesn't erase overlays if Subeta keeps tinkering with their end.

AHA! That must be what happened the other day when I noticed missing overlays that had manually entered. Glad to know what happened.

I didn't realize it was doing that or I wouldn't have gone back so far, so that's on me too for not double-checking to make sure it wasn't being wonky. Plus a bit on subeta for messing around in a way that made it not work right for uploads sometimes.

Hopefully it's not super hard to fix.

[edit] It's all fixed! And hopefully all the overlays are back in haha. I checked randomly throughout and it looks like they're all there :)

I can never quite remember the details - but I know a script runs regularly covering changes to items. What exactly does it compare? Price? Rarity? What happens if a name is changed? Or a description?

I've been running down changes from Item Name and/or Description Update Thread and I need to know how careful I need to be.

: It will catch and make updates to these fields: item name, description, and rarity. (There's a separate, faster cron that updates user shop prices).

The big changes we should be watching out for are changes to artwork (overlays only show up if you're logged in, and the cron can't run as a logged-in user) and changes to item uses (since those don't show up in the hover information).

ah, excellent! So we can basically ignore that thread. I did make changes to item names and description that were particularly egregious so the changes would be in place right away, but there were some where I wasn't even sure if they were changed or not. And trying to figure out how to track which had been fixed and which hadn't. So now I won't worry about it :D.

That is so helpful to know. I saw the staff post notice for that and was like...things changed name so how are we even supposed to find them to fix them???? So I'm glad to know that the script catches all that.
