awesome!! :D I was going to ask how you got the rope attached!
laughs that sounds about right ;) Is the bear made from fleece?
hehe admittedly the filter is only over the background, seeing as RP-Paddy didn't want it to change the colour of the trousers ;) but the camera she's got over her shoulder overlaps the trousers, so that probably changed the look of them a bit as well ;)
ooo I like the summery outfit today :D :D

Sounds like sewing is a lot like knitting, always trying to find ways to use the leftovers. lol Socks sounds like a good idea too! :D
Not been doing much knitting or crocheting here :P It is starting to get cooler tho, so maybe soon. lol
Ohh, both the wall organizer and the quidditch character looks awesome! :D I bought myself a ticket to see Rocketman tonight, excited since I quite love Elton Johns music. :)

I don't have quite enough fabric to make the hooded jacket I started today (I'm short on what I need for the hood lining), so I think I might just cut some squares from the odd shaped pieces I have left, stitch them together to make one larger piece, then cut the hood lining from that ;)
I can't blame you on not working with yarn in hot weather ;)

sewing it just over little parts. Had to kind of lift the presser foot on it. Nope. Tee-shirt fabric. :D it's from simply sewing mag. it looks so different lol. thanks :D
thank you. Hope you enjoy it
That sounds like it took a lot of patience! ;) ooo I wouldn't have thought of using t-shirt fabric to make a bear! :D Was that quite easy to sew together then? :D :D That's a brilliantly elegant outfit you've got today :D :D

I loved the movie. <3 I have always loved his music, so this was one movie I just had to see. :) Behomian Rhapsody is highly recommended too, if you enjoy Queen. :)
I think that would make the lining look extra cool actually. :D Love wearing hoodies, they are so comfy. <3 Sadly I lost my fav one the other day- but my mum had one just like it that she gave to me. The one I lost was grey, the one she gave me is white. :)
Plus, lacking the motivation. :P

awww on losing your favourite one :( Hopefully someone will have handed it in, but that's good that your Mum had one that was almost the same that you could have :D
:P well maybe the colder weather will give you more motivation to make some warm items ;)

it took some yes :D er lol no lmao. It was very slide-y. THat's what they said to use. I made one with cotton years ago and it was awful. thank you. Love the new ha you have too. Lots of purple and blues :D
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Neither are really movies I would like. I had tons of errands to run today.
I did wonder ;) I have a feeling it's also down to the type of t-shirt fabric you used - some of the fabric I've seen in the shops is really sleek and looks like it'd be slippery to sew, but others seem to let the presser foot grip it a little better ;) Thanks :D I got the hat yesterday so RP-Paddy insisted on a galactic look to go with it ;) Your HA looks awesome today, great use of the closed eyes :D and is that a piggy sweater? (not sure I've seen that colour before)

I called lost and found- but they had not found one, so its def. lost. :) At least I have the new one tho- so its not too bad. :)
Hopefully! :) are you working on any projects? :)
Thats fair enough. :) Hope you get to have some fun and relaxing times when the errands are done. Mum and I walked from my flat to the city today. My feet are sore. lol We had dinner too and some shopping.

awww that's a pity :(
I do have a bag I've been working on, but it all seemed to go wrong today - I needed to unpick the pocket, but made a hole in the fabric, I tried to add a bigger pocket (that was the whole reason for needing to unpick it in the first place - the pocket was way too small) but the machine kept skipping stitches :K In the end I made Mum a small drawstring pouch to store her clothes pegs in, then put the sewing machine away for the day.... it isn't worth making more of a mess of that bag.

I had to hold it kinda taunt and stop, move to get around corners. No idea lol I got it ages ago at the discount fabric store.
the hat is great, as is the new one in today's ha.
thank you :D -nods- it is. I FINALLY found it.
sounds nice other that sore feet. I'm not sure what I'm doing today lol.
I got three types of t-shirt fabric in a mystery bundle before - one of them was really (really, really) heavy, and looked like it'd stretch out in every direction possible, plus it was slippery to hold.... needless to say, that one is still sat in my fabric box 😇 There's got to be some tricks to work with stuff that's so slippery, but I haven't a clue what, other than lots of patience! Thanks :D I hadn't realised there was a plaid one - it looked awesome :D As does today's gym / dance look :D

Aww, sounds like one of those times where its best to just walk away from it a bit, and get back to it another day. Before you throw your sewing machine out the window or something. :P Hope you manage to work out the pocket. :)
Today we are going to a free concert in town, so I suspect more sore feet. lol Should be fun tho. :) Hope your weekend will be good. :hugs:

a lot of patience for sure! the bear was challenging enough I can't imagine trying to do clothing. thank you :D And thank you again. SErgei wanted to dance :D I think today's ha of yours is cute too
Ooh exciting!
I ran a bunch of errands today but got a lot done :D
yeah, nothing really seemed to go right at all, so I figured it wasn't worth making more mistakes with it at that point! Irritatingly, the original waterproof bag I had made, isn't as waterproof as it needed to be (or it was raining too much yesterday), as everything inside the bag got wet :K so I need to get on and make another one from different fabric quite urgently, otherwise I can't go out in the rain next week! 😊
if you can find '95/5 cotton lycra' (95% cotton, 5% lycra ... or spandex, it's the same thing :P), that's a lot more stable (and generally less slippery!) when it comes to sewing t-shirts - if you have a walking foot (or even feed foot), it helps, but it's not essential (you can just lower the pressure on the foot if not) ;) It worked really well :D as does the addition of that little kitty in the foreground on your HA today :D :D Thanks :D I was sent the mask in an anonymous gift box yesterday morning, so I had to try it out :D

Depending on how "bad" it is, you might get away with putting things into plastic bags and then into the waterproof bag. Not idea tho. :) I like the idea of a waterproof bag, since you wont have to worry ruining it. :)
Fun times. :P I have to do some cleaning today. I dont really feel like it, since I slept poorly, but oh well. :P

nods that's why I took that particular bag yesterday, but I think the rain was being blown against it more than normal (it was quite stormy for August) which didn't help. It's quite a thin fabric (it's cotton with a waterproof coating, I think), so I'm going to try another one with softshell (fleece with a waterproof coating)if I can get my sewing machine to co-operate this time.
Oddly enough, the really lightweight waterproof carrier bag I made worked well, apart from it not quite being big enough - I had three plastic bags around the stuff in that carrier just to be on the safe side (two around the items, and one across the top), but the rain came in the top where it wouldn't quite close up with the amount of stuff I had in it :P Thankfully the carriers kept the shopping 99% dry, so that was less stuff to need to dry out when we got home! It just hadn't dawned on me that my main bag would need extra bags on the inside!

i'm sorry you didn't sleep well. Hopefully you'll get a better sleep tonight after the fun. Good luck with chores.
love your ha-less ha today, it's beautiful! nope no walking foot. I just used my zipper foot lmao which was not ideal i think. We had to go slow, taunt and still move the fabric a lot. thanks :D i didn't have brainpower to make an ha haha.
thanks :D I wanted to play with some of the new frames / cutouts :D Ah, not having a walking foot would definitely make things harder! If you have the presser foot pressure set to whatever setting the instructions say would be best for applique (on my original machine that's 1 or 2, but my newer one has 6 settings so I'd have that probably on 2 or 3) then that should let the fabric pull through evenly (never stretch the fabric as you're sewing!) - if the pressure is too high, it'll stretch the fabric as it passes through, and that makes you end up with really wavy seams ;)
Your HA-less HA today looks awesome! That's brilliant layering :D
