Thats good that you will at least be able to use the denim for something else. :) For a jacket I think maybe light weight will work better and be more comfy to wear. :)

nods I've got that heavy lined denim jacket, but a light weight one would definitely come in handy for those "not quite" days when the weather isn't quite cold enough for a thicker jacket, but is too chilly to not have that extra layer ;)

as long as the colour doesn't come out of the denim while you're wearing it! (I didn't bother prewashing the denim I used for a pair of jeans, and the colour came out over the cross-body bag I'd taken to town while wearing those jeans 😊)
