Its been quite the day for me. >_< As I were waking up mum called and said she wasnt feeling well and asked if I could come over as soon as I could. She was extremely naucious and dizzy. Was throwing up a lot and could barely stand on her feet poor thing. We ended up having to call an ambulance and she is admitted to the hospital now. They believe is an inflammation of her vestibular nerve. It looks like that is the right translation anyways? Sorry, medical terms are difficult for me in english. They did a bunch of test and have not found anything else wrong with her but staying in hospital for now. I was not allowed to go with her either due to covid...

Raven: I will for sure keep Baxter and the rest of your family in my thoughts. ❤ I know how heartbreaking it is when our lil babies get sick.

I love groaners too.. hence the dry joke. :P

Paddy: There are some descent roomates, but I havent been the most lucky when it came to getting them. :P I have some horror stories.

Its always nice when the people working there knows their stuff and are able to give good service. :D I am even inclined to be willing to pay more for the items too if I love the store. Like I will go to my favorite yarn shop to browse and ask for help, even tho I am sure I could get the yarn cheaper online. ;)

I hope she's feeling a lot better soon! It's never nice to have to be in hospital, least of all when there's a pandemic!

nods there's something about being able to ask the staff member's opinion that you just can't replicate with online shopping ;) The worst thing is when you ask a member of staff something and they just stare at you blankly because they don't understand what you're on about :P I've got some good discounts from one craft place in town before, as I wanted a particular item that they'd ordered in accidentally so they had it cheaper just to try and sell it :P

Bah, the gremlins have returned - the computer monitor works today, but now the home phone line has stopped working (thankfully the internet is still ok!) o.O

I'm pleased she's doing well enough to be back home :D And hopefully you both get on ok ;) (I gave up trying to type long messages on my phone - they never come out right! 😊)

Today's been a really long day. I've been out and about most of the day. it started with taking Baxter to the vet and saying goodbye sadly. It's been so hard seeing him and he wasn't really rebounding. I took him for mum because I knew she needed me to do it. It was more expensive than I expected too.

I came home and ate a very late lunch and headed out to pick up some online orders, then came back home, had an hour before we went to petsmart. We were there for 2 hours as mum looked at kittens and we adopted one. (we spent more than we should but it was needed for her morale.) We bought her some toys and presents but had some card problems so that helped with the delay. Got her a cat tower too. We will wait to pick her up until Saturday though, as we want mum and dad's room to sit for a few days and decontaminate. Then little one will be quarantined for 2 weeks, allowing for them to sniff and get used to each other's scents without the risk of any of them getting sick either. She needs to go back (to the same vet we have lol) for 2 more shots but one will be awhile because she's so tiny. She's the runt of the litter and so cute. At the moment Mum's thinking of either Annie or Chloe for her name.

Got home at like 7.30 and finally had a shower and ate.

awww I'm sorry that Baxter hadn't improved at all :( but I guess at least he was able to be home for a little bit squishes That's one heck of a long day! The little kitty sounds adorable though :D

Thankfully I finally was able to get through to the online helpdesk and they've been able to trace the problem with the phone line - it's somewhere in their network rather than in our house, so that means they should fix it for free ;) (if it's in the house, that's a £125 fee I think, for them to send an engineer out).

the home phone suddenly rang this morning - made me almost jump out of my skin as I didn't realise they'd fixed the fault! I've told Mum that it could still stop working again though as they might still be working on it.... but hopefully it's fixed properly now ;)

I think everyone is making up for lost time in phoning - we had three calls yesterday afternoon, and another couple this morning :P But thankfully that seems to still be working ok :D I'm sure there's some resident gremlins in our house though, as now the phone is working again, the switch on the wall socket my computer plugs in to won't switch off so we're going to have to get an electrician to come and replace the darn thing :K (and while he's here, whenever that is, he can also hopefully replace a light switch that has a strange sounding click when it gets switched on, to save the risk of that failing as well!)
