Thanks :) We've got a chilly spell at the moment (10C at the moment according to my weather station, but they're forecasting 5C (41f F) for tomorrow and 3C (37 F) as a maximum for the weekend (no sign of snow in the forecast) o.O) so I thought I'd make a snowy HA ;)

At the current rate, there won't be any big shops left in the city centre - one major company announced they're likely to close yesterday, and it looks like they're dragging another one down with them today.... if the bog companies can't keep going, how on earth are the smaller ones meant to manage??

Hi all! Happy Lumi. We got our first snowfall of the season yesterday.

They're forecasting rain for here for Friday, but apparently some of the south could get snow if the conditions are right.... I'm not convinced either :P

You're lucky on the snow! Although I guess it depends where you are, and if you like it or not laughs I love snow, but that's mostly because we hardly get any :P

That makes sense. :) going to uni (unless its a private one) cost hardly anything here. But most people go into debt since they need money for text books, rent, food etc.:) Some of the student loan the government grants gets turned into a stipend tho once you finish your exams succesfully. :)

Its sad to see. :( I feel bad for the people that are out of jobs. A lot of stores have been closing here even before the pandemic. Its hard to complete wth online shopping and stuff.

I feel like I have a milion little things that needs doing here as well. o-o I guess I will make it. lol

I've been enjoying the view through the window. It's peaceful

Been a tough day here. I had a dentist apt and thankfully he said I probably just need a cleaning to get the pain down. Sadly they are booked till 25 Jan. (not cheap either) so i just have to keep cleaning it and salt water until then.

But there's more. Mum's cat Baxter has been sneezing excessively for several days now. Lucy is still sneezing a good bit too. We think when I had to take Maya into the vet for eating pine needles before Thanksgiving she picked something up as on Tuesday and Weds before Tday she was sneezing a lot too. Doc had given her an antibotic in case her surgery had given her something. She has mostly stopped sneezing so that's why we think they all got it. ... we took Baxter to the vet as he seemed to have problems breathing with all the sneezing and he does have an upper raspatory infection, which the other two are now on antibotics too. THey checked his blood work and did an xray and the results aren't great. Doc is keeping him to see if he can get the infection under control, boosting his immune system and giving him some iv fluids. and he's hoping to give him some extra time as... apparently he has lung cancer. I swear it's been one thing after the other this year. I am struggling to keep my morale up, especially for Mum. We really need an upswing.

Oh man, I'm so so sorry about the bad news from the vet. I hope they can get him to a point that he can come home soon at least. It's really heartbreaking when they're sick like that =/

And I hope you can make enough of a difference with the cleaning and salt water to not be too bad until you can get back to the dentist. It's so frustrating how much dental services cost.

Oh goodness, I'm so sorry :( I hope he feels better, but that is just so sucky. I hope the others kick whatever bug they have, too.

I am so sorry to hear about Baxter. :( Hopefully the vet can keep him comfortabl and that he gets to come home for a bit so that you all can spend some time with him. ❤ There sure has been a lot for you guys, so I feel you deserve an upswing as well. hugs

With our universities, you pay to attend, but that can come out of a 'student loan' from the government - that only needs to be paid back once you earn a certain amount each year ;)

nods Yeah, the shops in the city centre can't really compete when it comes to being able to sell online without the hassle (and cost) of actual retail shops and staff.... I don't think a lot of them were overly keen at investing in online shopping for their companies either, so they got left behind quite quickly!

whoa, that's a long time to wait! But that's a positive on it only needing a cleaning, so hopefully that's one less worry sitting in your head :)

That stinks that Maya seemed to pick something up and the others caught it as well :( But I guess in a way, if she hadn't, then you wouldn't have had a clue about Baxter being quite so ill. Hopefully the infection won't be too challenging for the vet to resolve (as by the sound of it, they're a really good vets!) and that he'll be able to be back home with you guys soon squishes

Alfred isn't too happy with me today - he got caught out with the full moon the other night, and ended up changing back to human wearing his pjs on the beach :P
