Stopping by my dad's place since his wife is turning 60 tomorrow. :) Other than that, mostly a quiet next few days. ;) Told my mum to take it easy as well, I dont want her to get all dizzy and nacious when she is out and about!

Happy birthday to you dad's wife for tomorrow! I can imagine that is going to be an unusual celebration if they can't have all the family round like they'd normally do! That's very true - and being a Mum, no doubt she's try doing too much ;)

Sorry, it's been a long couple of days. Yesterday Dad and I went to Atlanta to get some British food for the holidays. We hit so much traffic and dad wound up hitting another car. THankfully there was no one hurt and both cars didn't get too much damage but dad did get two tickets and well the mood has been rather low -sighs- It's been so hard to keep spirits up. I was trying to with dad bur he wasn't really receptive. Anyway... yeah...

eep that's always scary when something like that happens! At least nobody was hurt, and the cars didn't get too much damage! I can imagine it shook you both up though, and no doubt your dad is annoyed with himself, especially with getting two tickets!

Mum managed to get the socket to switch off (she took the plug out, which seemed to release the switch somehow), but yeah that's going to have to be replaced in the new year. It should be a relatively easy fix as swapping it over for a new socket should resolve the problem. ....and the "luck" continues - my lens fell out of my glasses again yesterday, so Dad's taking them back in (yet again) to get them repaired :K

Yup yup! When I talked to her yesterday she told me she had gone for a walk with a friend, she had gotten so bored with staying at home. It went fine tho, as she is so much better. :)

Yup, he has been glued to me. lol So many kitty kisses. Not that is that different from how he usually is. :P I still have pictures of what my christmas tree looked like when Pusur had climbed in it and even him climbing, look at it sometimes for a laugh. :P Good thing you can have it in a seperate room, so that she can stay safe. :)

Me too! :) She is mostly worried about loosing her drivers lisence now, since if this happened in traffic it would be quite dangerous. Will see what her doc says when she goes to her check up.

hopefully she'll be able to carry on driving, or at least only have a short period of time where she's recommended to not drive (just while she gets back to normal!) ;)

Saturday was busy. We finished kitten proofing Mum and Dad's room and I went and got the little twerpette. She's so freaking little and cute. She weighs 11 oz. Mum was beaming. She's named her Annie. Annie is mostly black with a tiny white patch on her chest. She seems to be settling in well. She's demanded petting and loves playing, been so cute.
I've been working hard on getting some pressies done too. It's been kinda chaotic.

Paddy: Yeah dad has an appointment tomorrow to see what the damages are. We might use the money elsewhere and not get it fixed. Good going on getting that fixed but boo to the lens falling out again. These glasses don't seem very er sturdy...

Well, when my car had a little mishap (I was reversing around a corner in the dark, and a lamppost got in the way 😊), I didn't bother getting the dent in the bumper repaired - it didn't seem worth bothering with, given what it would've cost ;) But hopefully the damage to your dad's car isn't too terrible, and won't cost too much if he does decide to get it repaired :)

nods I emailed the manager at the opticians, but so far I've not had a reply - they got the frame screwed back in again, but I've got no confidence that it won't happen again! It's almost like the screw isn't quite long enough, or the thread is damaged as I heard the frame go "ping" as the screw popped out o.O

Aww, Annie sounds so sweet! If she is shorthaired, she must look a lot like my Salem did! Hope to see pics. ❤ I am glad to hear she is settling in well and that you all are enjoying her. :) Did Maya like her new sister?

Erm almost, I think ;) I've got most of the wrapping up done for Mum & Dad's things (just a couple of edible items to wrap on Christmas eve), and that just leaves two things to make for their wedding anniversary (a couple of days after Christmas).... I don't know if I'll be able to get that made in time or not, so they might just get a card with an IOU inside and I'll make it in the new year! laughs

Maya definitely has been interested in that room. But she has hissed at the little one so it’ll be an interesting adjustment. Annie is so demanding. LOL she wants lots of love. It’s so sweet.

Well our deductible is $500 so they’ll give us the remaining amount to either fix or not. So I don’t think we’ll repair. It was a good amount of damage—paint fix is never cheap. So it’ll cover some of the things we had to buy recently at least.

I hope he replies soon. Not cool :(

Oh she’s mum’s kitty, not mine. Annie would be Maya’s Aunt. But they haven’t met yet. Maya did hiss and growl through the door though. We are letting them sniff through the door ;) It really is!

SO I was planning on finishing the last gift i need to ship out today (half way through so gonna still try) but Dad woke me early today telling me Amelia was not well. She's had problems for a few days. So we wound up going to the vets (YET AGAIN! 5 bill in less than a month!) Apparently she must have eaten the cats' food and since it's not grain free, she made herself sick and thought she was pooping when in fact there's nothing left in the tank. She got 3 medications and damn it another bill. I nearly cried at the price of over $300. But thankfully I asked about a discount and the vet said he actually was going to give us one since we'd been here so much lately and he knows we are struggling. So he gave me a $200 Christmas gift. I could kiss him, seriously. I mean even $115 was tough but it's a hellva lot better than $315. She laid on the floor and I knew they hadn't washed before I went in so Amelia got a bath when I got home.

I went back to knitting and discovered the wool was about to end. I've made like 10 of these socks and the one damn time I need the yarn so I can ship it I wound up not having enough. So I had to go BACK out and get that yarn. THankfully they had it in stock. So then had to go shower and change AGAIN! SO by then it's time to make dinner. I have only had about 2 hours all day to work on this one little sock. Such a frustrating day I'll tell you. 9.20am-to 10.40pm.... just go, go, go. I'm having to put the yarn into a ziplock bag and pull from centre hoping it's as good as I can do since I don't have 3 days to quarantine it.
