I just read on fb earlier today how retail will ruin christmas music for you, so I dont blame you! I worked as a casheer at a supermarket before, at least I didnt have to listen to christmas songs all day long. :P Which christmas song(s) are your favorite? Mine would be Whams- last christmas... and for a more traditinal one- Mary´s boy child. :)

they have music in our supermarkets as well now! hehe I don't mind listening to Christmas music, although it's hard to keep that Christmassy feeling from October 1st all the way through to Christmas Day! I don't have a favourite as such, but I like Slade's Merry Christmas Everybody simply because it was something we all had to sing at the end of the Christmas production at school (and that was the last thing before the Christmas holidays) ;)

Oh man, it would at least help if they didnt start in October. :P
That is a good one. :D From 1-6 th grade we would have a play before christmas, but not really music acts. ;) We would sing a lot of christmas songs tho.. among those Mary's boy child. :) From 7 to 9th grade we had a prom thingy. :) Nothing too fancy.. just a competition on who decorated the best table (each class did their own and we would have a theme). Pizza, some entertainment and music/dancing of course. :) Thankfully we never had the whole boys asking out girls to it tho somehow. lol

well the Christmas stock came into the store in August, so I guess at least we didn't have the music on then! :P
That sounds like they were great :d We never had a prom thing (apart from in my last year, we hosted a prom for the year below us), but the school held a party for the local old folks in early December where the students did the entertainment and served the sandwiches afterwards - most of us used that as a test run for whatever entertainment we were going to do in the end of year show ;)
I think I would've used every excuse in the book for why I couldn't go, if we'd had a "proper" prom where the boys would ask the girls to it!

That seems very early!
The party sounds nice too! :) And low-key, which is much nicer in my opinon than something super formal. :) Same here, it took a lot of the pressure off us all, No one had to feel bad that they didnt get asked out and feel awkward going by themselves.

nods I knew it would come in during September, but I hadn't expected to see it all stacked up in the stockroom in August!
nods it was bad enough having to find something 'suitable' to wear to the one we were hosting (I'd never been to anything like that before, so I had to buy something to wear just for that), but because we were hosting it, I could just keep busy 'helping' rather than having to dance :P

I love looking for a better deal. -snickers- It really was lol. hehe well it fits her. She has a lot of nicknames though. Maya bird (as in Mayna bird) Maya Papaya, and more.
yeah lol it was not easy! I think it's a cat thing. Vet said that once they do something once lol they are most likely going to do it again. Sounds about right.
thats my worry about the plants in there but I only have like 6 plants in there. I've lost a lot of plants and giving up those 8 palms.
Sure I'll let you know :)
I like your ha :D
Same here. :D I love a good bargain. xD I learned that from my mum. lol She refuses to buy anything almost for full price unless its food, even then she tends to buy what is on sale. xD
Same for Pusur, his nicknames doesnt really translate well to english tho.
Most customers complain that the stores start selling christmas stuff and decorating far to early as well. Mid november would be good I think. ;)
I dont like dancing either, so having something to do to keep busy is always good. ;)

that's not too terrible on the number of plants then, and it seems like it's a much more manageable number to keep in that room ;)
Thanks :D I thought he should get a few more outfits before Niamh insists on taking over again :P
I'm happy with October for the stuff being in the shops, but I never could get to grips with the Christmas displays all being taken down before Christmas week - it seemed silly to not still have it looking Christmassy up to Christmas Eve!
I never knew how to dance to music like that :P I'd done Highland dancing since I was 6, but that's obviously a totally different style :P

bargains are awesome. hehe good teaching XD -giggles- I wonder why? ;P
yeah though I am sad about my plants going byebye at least i can keep maya safer which is the points. They look nice up there too XD
hehe I'm glad he's getting a chance to play ;)
sits and admires your HA-less HA I love that little kitty in the foreground :D
And this is the best time of year to move them around as the plants can all get settled without the risk of them getting too hot in that room ;)
hehe well I couldn't keep on letting him miss out, even if he's not always that keen on some of the things that Niamh says he can wear :P

Hehe.. we are def. alike in many ways. :)
He is licking my hand while I am typing right now. LOL The lil weirdo. -giggles- I wonder why? 😛
That sounds very weird! Here they are usually up until New Years. ;) Which is fine I guess.
At least you must have a descent sense of rhytm to do linedancing I suppose? I have have never done it or seen it in person, but it does seem a bit difficult. :)

I think for most of the shops they want to have a fresh look after Christmas Day, so they tend to at least tone down their displays ready for the Boxing Day sales ;)
The type of dancing I did is this one (link) - I also learnt a sword dance, which was an experience (you practise with a wooden sword, so there's no risk of injury if you stand on it accidentally)! Ironically for someone who did Scottish dancing, I can't stand the sound of bagpipes (which is the traditional musical accompaniment) 😊

Here they have a sale between christmas eve (when shops open again on the 27th until New Years Eve. :)
That looks very similar to the type of line dancing I have seen before on tv. :D Scottish culture is neat, but bagpipes is not my cup of tea either. :P

That makes sense, as they can clear all their old stuff then before the new year ;) I have a feeling this year the shops will be starting their sales early just to try and get as many people through their doors as possible!
One year when we were on holiday, there was a Scottish dancing demonstration group near the beach - they'd asked anyone watching if they wanted to have a go, so I joined in :d That was really weird dancing wearing trainers laughs (normally it's soft shoes similar to what you'd wear for ballet), and the chap I was dancing with realised I knew what I was doing, so he added in some more complicated bits just to show off :P

:nods: They will usually have a lot of stock left. :)
Hehe.. I hope you threw in some complicated moves to show off as well. 👼 I have been busy today. Assembled another barstool.. and a new lamp over the kitchen island. And I turned in my laptop to have the keyboard fixed. Thankfully I have my old one that I can use in the meantime, even tho it drives me nuts how laggy it is. :P Will freeze up occationally too. Fun times. :P

thanks :D love bard Alfie xD yeah hopefully they'll do well in there hehe is he still stealing the show then? XD
yes :) lol how cute. Maya was eating dads hair a few days ago.
Bless. :) Sounds like she is doing better now then?:)

Certainly the shops over here will have lots of extra stock after Christmas, as unless they sell their things online as well, they've missed out on quite a lot of people being able to buy with the lockdown we're in!
hehe of course! There was one particular part of the dance where you spin reasonably fast with the other person - I can't do that for long as it makes me dizzy, but I learnt that if you lean back slightly as you're moving then you get a better spin.... that's the point where he realised I really knew was I was doing 😇
Yay on getting all that assembled! And that is never helpful when the keyboard stops working, but I hope they can fix it pretty quickly for you ;)
ooo that's an interesting look today - what's the rooster in the foreground? Thanks :d I couldn't resist letting him be a bard for a day ;) nods Niamh is really fed up that he's making some of the outfits look more stylish than she'd anticipated (I think it's also got a lot to do with him wanting to show off his muscles too :P)

:nods: Its sad to see so many small businesses struggle and people loosing their jobs as well!
Good job! 👼 That must have been satisfying. :D :nods: They probably have to order some parts, so it might take some time. :)
