So we had a delivery order today to get me and mum a few more lunches right... well I had a disinfectant wipe in my hand as I went into the garage to put the bags in the recycling area. Maya darted inside. She stopped to sniff and I picked her up with the wipe still in my hands. So then I had to give her a mini bath, putting water down her back and rinsing the disinfectant off her fur. BOY was she MAD. LMAO. She was growling and hissing lol it was kinda cute. Dad had to hold her as did I. Was not easy. THen I dried her but even the towel, which normally makes the cats calmer, didn't make her happy. I gave her two treats for her "Trauma" LOL. She went away and sulked for about an hour.
Paddy, what lovely pictures! it looks beautiful.
good luck on the fly :)
lovely ha :D
Pinkpanther yeah that is tricky too! Yes, you should train speed. It helps when it comes to freezing and such. Curses work by who has higher speeds. I think 6001 is where I stopped.
Poor Maya. lol Sounds like trying to give Pusur a bath. I had to when he got diarrhea in his fur. Fun times. xD Hope the lunches are yummy at least!
And thanks for the training advice! I will be training speed then. :D
I can see Sparky doing this more now that he knows it works. 👼 My mum had little birds come in to her apparantment lately, and the other they one was pecking on her window. o-o I told my mum they probably have a challenge going, like the ones that are so popular on youtube etc. :P
Hope the blanket arrives soon as well. :)

sits and admires your HA-less HA that looks great! :D
Whoops on Maya needing a wash - I can't imagine she'd be keen to investigate while you've got disinfectant wipes in your hand another time! ;) Has she forgiven you yet though? ;)
gathers up the luck thanks ;) I think I'll need it! ;) The fabric hasn't arrived for the PJ project yet, so hopefully I can get the masks finished today so at least I've completed something ;)
And thanks :d I admit I cheated - this is mostly the same outfit from the fireworks one, just with a different background and no shadow over the 'garden' 😇
hehe thankfully he didn't do it again last night, but I have a feeling he'll do it again when he wants some attention! ;) Awww that's sweet :d We had a magpie that would peck on my bedroom window of a morning at one point - it only seemed to be when there was no food in the garden so I guess he was tapping for room service! ;)

Sorry hi,t edit post instead of preview. ;)
Pic of the two hats! :)

Paddy: I would certainly count on that. Pets are sneaky like that. ;)
Did you at least give them some bird seeds? lol Its especially weird since she lived there for 10 years with no birds entering her flat, now she had two over a short period of time and the one pecking at the window. Was only a tiny opening for them to get in too! :) Which is why I have my challenge theory. :P

those hats look amazing, especially with the colourwork on the first one :D
Mum went out after she had breakfast to make sure there was plenty of food put out for them laughs We stopped putting food out for the birds a few years ago (we had a rodent problem in the garden) but the birds still come, as there's a bird bath and also some plants that they eat the berries & seeds from ;)
Now that is definitely weird! I think you're right on the challenge, especially with there being such a tiny opening!

Thankies, I am sadly not the best at knitting with two colours, but I did my best. :)
You def. dont want a lot of rodents around so I dont blame you! Maybe if you can hang it up in a tree or something it would work. :) Or you probably dont even need to if you have other things in the garden they can eat. :D
:nods: The idea of the birds doing a youtube type challenge cracked me up. I am silly like that. lol

well from that photo, I'd say it looked brilliant! :D
nods oddly enough, we used to have a peanut feeder hanging on a tree branch (admittedly not all that high, but high enough.... we thought). One morning Mum found the feeder on the grass and it looked like it'd been crushed. A badger had come along in the night, managed to pull the feeder off the branch, then chewed it to crush the bars of the feeder so it could get the peanuts out! o.O
hehe it did the same to me, if I'm honest! ;) :P

Thankies. :D I do love the colours on that hat especially. I kinda want one for myself too. ;)
That is impressive from the badger. o_o I didnt know they could get up in a tree like that! Annoying that the bird feeder broke tho. >_<
Haha. I am glad I could bring a smile today. :)

yeah lol they don't like water, do they. -giggles- anytime <3 Ooh the hats look so lovely! Last comment you meant PAddy lol.
your ha is lovely. why thank you. haha you'd think so but she did it twice more yesterday and today. And she had to get her paws watched today after getting on the chair after I disinfected it LOL she wasn't happy. hope it arrives soon. Did you finish the masks? hehe chating works :P
you definitely should make yourself one - that would be perfect for cold wintry walks :D
nods me neither! And at that point, we didn't even realise the badger was coming into the garden! Thinking back over the year though, I have a feeling the badgers have probably been visiting the garden since the house was built, as the fence we now know they come under, has never been "right" and always seemed to have a bit of a problem at the base ;)
thanks :D I thought Niamh should have something that looked a little Christmassy ;) o.O maybe she just hasn't realised the connection between her getting close to the wipe and the wash afterwards? :P Half the masks are done, and hopefully they'll be finished by this evening :) There's another couple of things I need to make for Christmas presents, but I'm still waiting on something in that order to be able to make them.... which is probably still a good thing that the order hasn't arrived yet!

That is a what I am thinking too! I normally dont wear hats tho unless its really, really cold. lol
It def. sounds like the badger(s) might have caused that. ;) I havent even seen one in real life. lol
Hope you didnt get too many scratches. :)
Thankies! :D On my next project now.
Oops. I keep messing up the pings dont I? lol

I always wear a peaked cap, as I find it helps to block out car headlights if I'm walking in the dark :P You never know, maybe there's going to be a really really cold spell over winter this year ;)
nods I've seen one in the garden before, going really quickly up the steps towards the back fence.... for something so large, it seemed to be quite accurate as I thought it would be blundering into all the gnomes that lived on the steps! Sometimes of an evening we see a badger or two running up the road, although this time of year they don't tend to be out as much. I think the badgers have quite a lot of sense, as they just snuggle up and sleep if it's too cold! ;)

well it looked fantastic :D lol I guess she hasn't o.0 Good luck on finishing them. Ooh what you making for Christmas eh? XD
lol what counts as too many? :P hehe well you're just basking in my awesomeness :P
:D
I had a mass sewing session yesterday afternoon - all the masks are done, I made Mum's apron (she bought a Christmas tea towel November last year, and wanted me to turn it into an apron for her), and also got that hoodie finished (including thumb-hole cuffs)! :D :D So seeing as the "something" for Christmas (I'm still not saying what it is :P) needs part of the order that still hasn't arrived yet, the next sewing I need to get done is sorting out Dad's PJ bottoms that need taking up ;)
Sod's law though, today the lens fell out of my glasses (again) so I'm having to wear my spare ones which are slightly different in the curve of the lens :K

Anywhere between hates it. 0- 100 really. :D I usually get them when I brush Pusur too. He loves it when I brush around his neck, but as soon as I start brushing further back he Thankies! 😀 On my next project now.
Naturally. :D I will try to do better. lol
That is a good idea, its no fun being blinded by lights. :) Thats true! Normally winters arent too bad where I live, but it can get a bit cold. :)
Def. some sensible badgers there, I dont blame them. :) They are kinda cute tho. :D When they are not being a pest of course. lol

especially those more modern car headlights (the LED ones) - they're almost as nasty as the flashing cycle lights that always seem to be aimed right at my eye level :K
hehe I can imagine it gets colder in the winter over there, than it gets here ;)
nods I'd still like to put some peanuts out in the garden for them, but Mum refused :P

Those are def. the worst! At least getting blinded by bikelights is a bit better than being run over because you cant see I guess.
Yup! More so in other parts of Norway tho. :) We get very little snow. Got more of that when I was a kid actually., I remember we had so much fun with our snow sleigh/sled. :D
Spoilsport! :P

glad you go to much done :D lol boo :P oh dear. I guess they are going back out tomorrow for the lens to go back in?
cats are finicky it's all good Been working on nephew's gift. I'm hoping by Sunday it's completely finished for mailing. We've also had Aldi shop delivered with some German holiday treats. I'll have to reduce how much I have at one time if they have a lot of sugar but I'll manage lol. I've put the meats away (real German bratwurst and ribs) and waiting for the mini shop from Publix. Then dad and I are going to head to macon to pick up a small order there and back here to Kroger for the last of the incidental shopping. Then I'll put away what must be put away after disinfecting it and then I'll get back to making this gift. Apparently his bday is Monday so it'll be late. [edit] finished his gift so I am posting it tomorrow and should be posting your Christmas gift too.
Indeed. lol They certainly know how they like things to be.
Yay for finishing present! :D And for holiday treats. German bratwurst is delicious. I am already looking forward to christmas dinners here. lol And looking forward to my gift, of course. <3 Speaking of: if you have any wishes for gifts, please let me know. :)

that's very true, although those cyclists can end up travelling a lot faster than the cars through town!
Yeah, I remember winters where me & Dad were clearing the snow off the road when I was a kid. There's not many winters where we get that much snow (if any) now!
:P
Nah, that'll be next week - Mum's not feeling like she can go, so it'll be Dad taking them in (which isn't ideal as then he has to park in town, which he always moans about!). I ache like crazy - I had this daft idea (well it seemed a good idea at the time) to actually get on and sort my fabric, and use those two vacuum bags I bought a month or two ago. I filled one bag, then it wouldn't compress enough to close the bag, so I had to take some out and shuffle it in with the fake fur in the other bag. Those two now close (the first one only just did up, but I'm hoping it'll hold it all in place!) are now in the corner where they actually fit a lot better than I'd expected :d The disadvantage though is that I've still got a lot of bags of fabric (and loose fabric) all over the bed which obviously needs to be dealt with before tonight! :P
