That's very true! I've only ever bought one item from menswear that I altered to make fit me - that was a rugby themed top (typical shop assuming that only men want to wear that kind of top!) that I cut the seams off and cut it out to match a t-shirt pattern I already had laughs I don't know I'd have the confidence to try that with altering a hoodie though!

Altering a hoodie does seem a bit difficult! So I dont blame you. :) It must be nice to be able to alter your clothes tho. :D

I am knitting like crazy, had to start over yesterday.. so its slow going. lol

I'd love to have the confidence to alter the waist of my jeans - I've got a couple of bought pairs that are too big on the waist! But it all sounds a bit challenging, so I might just give in and put some elastic in the back instead :P

What I didn't want to talk about was my parents left yesterday for my brothers home in FL. I tried so many things but nothing worked and they went even though I believe they have put themselves and now me in danger. I'm really not happy about it and don't really want to talk about it either. I'm by myself here and last night made me feel uneasy since it's the first time alone in the house. Yesterday was quiet miserable too. so many things went wrong... sighs.

Now that definitely stinks - certainly over here, they're trying to discourage people from travelling to higher risk counties (and travelling at all from Thursday seeing as we're heading into a month-long lockdown), so it seems crazy to want to travel to FL from where you are! I guess I can kind of see their reasoning for wanting to see him and his family, but to me that seems pretty reckless :(

Elastic in the back should work. :) I always find that either the jeans fit perfectly around your waist and there is not enough room for your bum and thighs.. or the other way around. :P Its never just right!

I did check my tension, and its seems to be right according the pattern, so I am hoping it will turn out okay. :)

I had multiple trial runs before making my previous pair of jeans, just to get that waistband sitting properly.... then I realised I had a mistake in the legs, so they don't look right on the side seams facepalm But I think I'll just use elastic on those bought jeans, as I really don't want to risk unpicking those stitches! :P

That is annoying with the side seams. >_< hands you a big truck filled with patience as well I have lost quite a bit of weight lately, so I expect I have to buy new jeans at some point now. :P Any trousers/jeans are my least favorite thing to shop for., as I hate dressing rooms. But I cant know if they will work unless I try them on. .P

I hope today is pretty uneventful for you, and you can get some last minute ToTing done on here to keep your mind away from what they're doing squishes I guess that's part of the disadvantage of still living with the parents - we're not able to always get them to do the sensible option on things, but have to still cope with them being in the house!

Yeah, the last time I had to try any clothing on in the shop dressing rooms, it was a nightmare, especially if you don't know the size you need and have to take multiple sized items in with you to try! hands you some luck and patience for jeans shopping There's so many different styles of jeans too, that it isn't just a quick "I know I'm this size" thing, as some are too tight on the legs and others are so flared on the hem that if you're like me, you'd trip over them! :P

yeah it's really hard. I want this virus gone, as I'm sure most people do.

yeah it really has!! yeah. I really hope it is gone soon. I would like life to go back to normal. Today I worked on my knit club box and cleaned up a bit. Mum and dad arrived home tonight. It took an hour to sanitize what I allowed back in the house--lol my dad was getting slightly annoyed but I did all the work so he can't complain much. Plus they went so this is my request. Their clothes will go in the house tomorrow as I wash them. Everything that didn't come in will wait until Saturday LOL.

I hope they didn't do anything else. They came home today. Read above. they had to strip down and shower whilst I washed all they had on and sanitized everything that I allowed back inside. -snickers- I could practically hear my parent's thoughts but I don't really give a damn if they thought it was overboard.

that sounds fair - to be honest, it's what Mum & Dad did when they'd been working on clearing some old stuff from Gran & Grandad's place last week! They had to strip in the hallway then go and wash before getting clean clothes on ;)

Knitting sounds good - any particular project you're working on? I had a go at making something today (to finish a Christmas present I started last month), but the clips I'd bought were the wrong size (and I didn't realise until I came to use it today) so that was a waste of time sigh

I did have a message from K's Mum saying that they'd bought various face masks and the ones I'd made are the best fit, and asking if I could make them some matching ones for Christmas :P So I might have a rummage for my Christmassy fabric tomorrow and see if I can get some masks made.

hehe but do you find that the kid's section isn't really designed for adult sized backsides? :P When I'd tried teenager's stuff in the shops before, tops were fine, but I couldn't get the jeans over my rear 😊

I came across a clothes hanger from some teen wear I bought a few years ago - it was quite scary seeing the age and height listed on there, and comparing that to my height 😊
