Not my photo, but it is the actual hole they use as the entrance. I had just watched or rewatched (don't remember) The Descent pretty shortly before we ended up going, that was funnn.
My favorite outdoor adventure was when my dad and I went to this place near where I grew up. We lived in the middle of desert and wheat fields, but about an hour away from us was a canyon that had a creek and it was like going from the desert to the forest and it was amazing. We saw lots of cool animals there. This was about ten years ago when I was 13...
My friend and I used to hike a lot, but then we saw a FREAKING TARANTULA. I'm good on hiking. and outside. maybe forever.

One week ago a whole blanket of snow had fallen over our town.....I have been outside the whole day to enjoy it :) (Build several large snowman, a lot of snow fights and walked around). I love snow and I was hoping there would be another blanket of snow with Christmas but it doesn't look like it will happen again for this year.
I love hiking, alone, at night, here in the park. Don't do it often enough.
definnitely climbing the vulcanoes with my bf in indonesia^^
I love being in nature, generally forests c:
There's a section of the cedar rapids trail that I like to go on, it goes along the trout creek.
I always like hiking in the smoky mountains during the summer, it feels so magical being in the woods during the summer - with all the leafy green tree canopy
Hubby and I went to a state park this past summer to a place in the mountains with lots of waterfalls and stuff, we had a 3 mile hike into our campground so it was super quiet, we were right by a lake, the waterfalls were gorgeous, saw some rat snakes, lots of big spiders.... sleeping was horrible, but i hardly remember that over the sights of the waterfalls, they were so pretty. c:
Although I was a kid, I still recall the time my parents and I went to New Zealand, rented an RV and went to a variety of places for a month. Horseback riding, seeing glow-worms in a cave, sulphuric springs (oh the smell), etc. We also got locked out one time & I had to squeeze through a window we forgot to close to unlock us... no cell phones back in the day & we were out in the middle of the woods.
we haven't gone this year (yet, we're waiting on snow and for everyone to get over their colds), but around this time last year we went up to the palm springs aerial tram, for well... for snow, mostly. we're more over by the coast so we have to go looking for snow, haha. it's worth it though! the views are beautiful :)
earlier this summer we did a tiny road trip, and when we were at sequoia national park i got to see a baby deer ;v; wasn't fast enough for pics, but it was so cute ;o;
Yanno what I really like? Stargazing. Cant' get enough of it.
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
I went hiking last week in the desert and looked for petroglyphs along the Snake River.
Not my pic:

Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand, For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
I have none but I want forum giftboxes. Sue me.
I think the coolest thing I've ever done was back when I was still in high school and my grandparents took me on an Alaskan cruise. While we were doing it, we took a helicopter ride up to a mountain and got to walk on it. It was so peaceful and breathtaking. The whole area around Alaska/Washington was beautiful, really.
This summer I was able to go to Luray Caverns which I've wanted to do for a while. Was the best experience since they were not have guide tours so we got to look and take our time.
So far, my favorite outdoor experience was hiking Neist Point on the Isle of Skye, in Scotland. It was remote, beautiful, and an incredible experience.

A favourite place to walk is a nearby forest trail, that has a couple of creeks, rivers, and waterfalls, etc throughout it. it's just very beautiful and peaceful.
