When I lived in California and Puerto Rico I loved to scuba dive. Now here in freezy cold New York I just sit and cry over my wet suit.
I really, REALLY want to go to Denali and the national park surrounding it, but
1.) I'm afraid of bears 2.) I live on the otherside of the world, lol
I love horseback trail riding. u It's my all-time favorite.
I want to go scuba diving and also, I want to return to Smokey Mountains.
ISO: Somewhere filled with a sense of peace. Away from this city, the noise, the TRAFFIC. .___. take me back to yellowstone !
I dont go outside much but I love reading everyone elses adventures!!
That's where we're likely going to move! I just got transferred to UCD this month so now we're probably going to move. I think I'd prefer WSac but I'm worried about the commute D: I've heard traffic can be bad going that way in the afternoons.
I'm really excited to explore the area. I've actually never been to Lake Tahoe :x
Oh gosh, what a small world! I work for UCD lmao. The commute is really balls, which is why I keep living in Davis instead of moving out there. The mornings aren't too bad but the evenings are just a nightmare.
I found a really awesome trail on the outskirts of Davis recently, the RIparian Reserve. I would highly recommend that trail. And I just love the arboretum on campus.
Oooo, we did a switch! I've lived in Northern California for most of my life, but I lived in San Diego for undergrad. :)
Wow, that picture looks fantastic! Great job exploring haha. I'll have to add it to my list.
I grew up going there to see snow, and sort of developed a love of a warm-cabin-in-snow aesthetic, lol. You should definitely go see it; it's quite lovely to hike in the spring/summer as well.
@ (both of you) ooooo, I almost went to UCD for undergrad but didn't want to have to live at home. I've taken a few extra classes there. Tiny world! Also, I've walked around Putah Creek and the Riparian Reserve. Lovely, lovely area.
I'll have to put both of those on our list to explore! Thanks for the tips!
I'm originally from FL so nowhere near home ;) I understand wanting to leave!
Not that FL isn't beautiful, ya know, year round. And great for outdoorsy people - especially who like water!
Your post made my LOL. You sound like a fish out of water
I'm dying to do the pre-dawn hike up machu picchu! Looks so beautiful.

I finally checked one off the bucket list and made my way to Banff, Canada. Mountains, lakes, rivers, cabins... it was awe inspiring.

i wish i had fun outdoor adventures, but i kind of hate being outdoors.
a trail in a nearby forest! there's the ruins of a centuries old cottage by the river that i always love exploring
Not really a sporty person, but I'd love to go hiking through a forest one day, especially a sequoia forest.
I did have a close meeting with a young patriot boy once, overly zelous in his love for the abstract concept of a country and for his simplified morals. The only adjective he could think of to describe me with was a profanity, a degragatory term for a homosexual person, and it was all I could do not to congratulate him for his deep and complex insight, so I just smiled sweetly.
It was lovely, with all honesty.
oh how funny! I didn't go to UCSD because I wanted to live somewhere else for once in my life. Great uni though and lovely campus.
I love the Riparian Reserve. Is that where you've walked along Putah Creek, or are there other trails?
You are most welcome! I walk the arboretum during my lunch a few times a week since I am situated right off of it on for work, and it never bores me. The whole thing I think is 3.1 miles or so.
@ both of you this is too funny - what a small world! I came up here to UCD for undergrad and stayed because I enjoyed it so much. After five years I may be ready to move back to San Diego, but I am less stir crazy since I started exploring the area a bit!!!
I need to plot my next adventure... I did the Torrey Pines extension "hike" this weekend while I was down in SD visiting my family, no pictures though because I forgot my phone in the car! :o Talk about being in the present moment!
... Do I look like I would do well outside ?
Trying to ski and play tennis always remind me of how unfit I am lol.
Hiking in Korea is nice because of the pretty green views once you get to the peak of a hill/mountain.
