I want to go to Alaska, Hawaii and to Japan at least once in my life. I have always wondered what it would be like - I want to go see the dog sled races. I want to see the pineapple fields, and watch the sunset over the sea... I want to see the Geisha and Maika dance, and the cherry blossoms dance in the wind.. ;o;
Probably everything is on my wishlist, but I especially want to see the waterfalls on Maui!
I live in the sticks, and I always have. When I was a kid my friend and I used to vanish into the swamp and woodlands of the place I call home for hours unattended to try and find Pokemon (which dates me quite a bit, I'd wager.) We built a secret base in a tunnel of thorns and only occasionally found venomous snakes in there. Catching crayfish and leaving notes in trees for Mewtwo to come take us to the Pokemon world... it's not so grandiose now looking back, but those summer memories are still some of my favorites.
Many years ago, hubby and I trekked through the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. Stunning.
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

I went hiking a few weeks ago! Hong Kong is like. The Place For Hiking. It's a city and there are still like, innumerable places to hike. Plus easy access lmao, 10-15 minutes by metro and voila. There isn't any specific hiking location I like, because I mean- it'd probably take me a couple years to go through all of Hong Kong's more popular/known hiking locations. But I do just love hiking in Hong Kong. It's never too cold, there's generally nowhere slippery bc the earth is always slightly damp. Pretty nice xD.
Also picnicking on mountain-tops!!
My favorite outdoor adventure was this year visiting the national village museum with my partner since we never went there. [and you can even read about it too, if you want ;) = shameless promotion u.u]
Then [another day] one evening we were walking home, and i saw a baby [actually fledgling] crow on the ground and a car was approaching, but poor thing didn't seem to see it. she was close to being hit by it, but she finally flew on a parked car. I [stupidly] went closer because i wanted to take a picture of it .... but her parents got MAD! they started screaming and being aggressive LOL. and I decided to walk away, but one of the parents decided to make sure i leave their baby alone and it nearly flew in my head. my partner was looking at me terrified and i had no idea [why]. we couldn't stop laughing at my stupidity and the actions of the bird [which were totally entitled].
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
I'm too old for adventures, but I walk everyday in a beautiful park enjoying nature and fauna that I have in front of my home, it is the beggest park of my city Roma in Italy
I like visiting the Temperance River in Minnesota. There are all kinds of pretty rocks (as well as a really neat rock shop) and it's safe enough to swim in if you like, and if you don't feel like swimming you can just sit on the rocks and listen to the water rush by. It's one of my favorite places here.
We moved to Idaho last year...and have only been out once for camping...even in the middle of summer we were at such a high elevation it was freezing LOL! All the campgrounds were full so we ended up in the middle of nowhere (near the other campsites) but off a beaten path...there was an outhouse building and some other buildings from apparently when that place used to be a camp for kids LOL there was no water to go fishing...but the place we went had a bunch of tents set up with metal picnic tables etc and a campfire ring....You could tell other people camped there and that was nice :) We heard a moose in the morning and we kept getting these cute squirrels when we they were stealing whatever our daughter threw to the ground :)

Best adventures were when we first moved to this mountain town. We bought an old jeep and went to every mountain, creek, lake and waterfall we could find. My husband worked four days on and four off. So that's how we spent the four days he was off.
Everyone's talking about going to different countries, but most of the outdoor stuff I've done has been here in the UK, and not even too far from my city.
I really like to go on walks in woods or countryside places. Usually I'll go with my Dad and his family. Sometimes we'll go to parks or nearby places, but there have been times when we've gone away to other places within the UK before. Back in 2012 we stayed at the Peak District and went to the hills and there was a ruined building there and later on we went up a hill and there was a circle of rocks and lots of different mushrooms. In 2014 we went to Cornwall in late Autumn and we went to one beach where there were lots and lots of rocks to stand on. In fact, I went to Cornwall again with my Mum and her family in 2015 in summer and I spent ages walking around taking pictures of the different rocks and landscapes there.
Sometimes it's nice to just walk around some natural area and appreciate it.
I love hiking/snowshoeing the Tahoe rim trail. I haven't made it to the top of Relay peak or even Mt. Tallac yet, but I plan to someday.
I'm too out of shape to hike and too poor to travel so I have to make do with small, local activities. Walking downtown and window-shopping, looking for crawdads in the park, tending to my late great-grandmother's rose bushes, even just sitting in the backyard and reading - those are the small adventures I treasure.
not a hiker or climber really. my idea of a outdoor activity is going to a very large racetrack here in alabama (barber motorsports park) getting the chairs out and enjoying the day. we also tailgate and make new friends.
