I had this moment this afternoon, wondering how long it had been since I had my wisdom teeth out (no, I don't know why). it's apparently been eight years since I was 16. that's the allegation at least.

Mine 40th birthday is in four months, everyday reminds me of this. And I am counting down...
What could possibly happen in four months, that couldn't in the last 39 years?
There's a festival happening in Las Vegas called the "When We Were Young" festival....and it's all the bands that I loved growing up and still love today. I don't know how I got old enough to need a throwback music festival...but here we are.
Last weekend mine was reminded of being old, is when I told friend's sister and nephew mine current age. They thought I was 25 or so...mine a few months from 40.
Nothing like being mistaken for a young man, to make one feel old and obsolete.
One of my close friends is 24 (6 years younger than I am), so she'll often (jokingly) tease me about being 'old.' Also I was at a small gathering a while back and I was the oldest person there - which as someone who has always been the youngest in classes, amongst friends, etc. it was extremely weird lol
Earlier today someone linked a music video for a league of legends parody song that came out in 2014. Blasted me way back, I remember when it first dropped. I feel so old!
a tiktok that started with "if youre old, like you know, born in the 1900s"
i'm only a '97 baby but that still hit.
Tiktok playing songs from early 90’s saying “do you know these oldies?”
;_;
On the telly they were showing an old handball game and one of the teams was Soviet Union and I was like "that was sooo long ago" and then I kinda remembered that Soviet Union did exist when I was born so that means I was born soooo long ago.

banner by When I was trying to explain to some kid at work how I used to need a cassette to aux cable a long time ago when my family had the old car. They had no idea what a cassette was.
When a coworker asked the other day. I told her to guess, she said 25, and that's what I went with!

As of today I've survived this crazy world 67 years. I'm conscious of my age all the time, but mainly because I FEEL emotionally underdeveloped and super young, and YET I'm scarily pushing 70. (my body definitely knows I'm old)
Was going thru stuff in my closet and found my old Walkman cassette player lol. It still works!
These last two times was when I was a senior in high school. Right before my senior year, I went to my mom and said, "....Mom, I'm a senior." And then at graduation when I got my diploma. So, 4 months ago and then a bit over a year ago.
Was talking about going to see the first Lord of the Rings movie in theaters to my niece and realized it came out 21 years ago, 6 years before she was born.
