When I decided to come back to Subeta after a long break and saw that I've been a member for over 11 years...

When I look at my little sister who's graduating high school and realize it's been 10 years since I have.. or when I realize how big my 6 year old is getting... getting better with age I guess?

Everyday in college. I started college at 25. so "regulared college age" people are younger but they keep giving me max 20 (good for me hahahaa)

When I was in my 20's I didn't feel old. (it surprises me when others do). At that time I was married to a man 13 yrs older. I thought HE was old.

In my 30's I was excited that people would start treating me with more respect. (I always looked much younger than I am)

I was excited to turn 40. I didn't feel old.

At 50, I was dating someone 10 yrs younger, and I still didn't feel old. I still looked much younger, so that helped.

Now I'm 64 and I feel VERY old. Trauma has taken me down.

I have to say, after writing all of this, I'm grateful for all the years that I enjoyed when I felt young and vibrant.

They say "you're not getting older, you're getting better." In some respects, that's still true. Sigh.

So last I got reminded of my age, one of my coworkers asked me "How old were you again? 23?" and I had to actually THINK ABOUT IT FOR A MINUTE before I realized he was wrong and that I am in fact 24. I almost cried |D I'm that young and forgetting things already.

Subeta polls....took a long break and in the last poll asking for user age, I still (barely) was in the 19-24 group....now in 30+ ... time flies like crazy!

At work. A lot of my customers become curious after realizing I know a lot. They always think I'm 18 or 19, but I'm 25.

My mom just called me to wish me a happy birthday and said "now that you're that old I feel even older" Thank mom I guess...

When it was December 23rd last yr and I realized wow I'm 26.5 years old!

I was getting my nails done and the girl next to me struck up a conversation and said she was about to start 8th grade. She asked how old I was and i said 26 and she said 'oh, i thought you were young.'
