The revamp is much better! At first I thought the wings needed more work, but the more I look at the charlie, the more I think it suits him actually. Great Work!

I don't like how maniacal the Charlie looks now. Before, it looked evil-ish but there was still room for you to insert your own personality/style into the creature. Now it's mad genius or mini super villain, and that's it. I also don't like how the mole on the ear is even more pronounced. Could we get rid of that all together? Also, it's wings are... an enigma. Does it actually fly with those or are they just mutated arms that never fully developed? I don't see much point in changing the wing position either. If anything, it makes the left wing [closest to us] look almost broken or lazy? I also agree with about the way the head sits on the body. Does it have a neck or not?

If you ask me, this is one of the species that needs an overhaul from the ground up. I know people usually hate it when you guys do that but as of now, it's anatomy/general design doesn't seem to work... at all.

I think the revamp looks great. Especially the expression.

But I also agree with a lot of posts about the wings and I think the head is a tad too big.

Yeah, I p much agree with the common sentiments here:

• wings look like fake plastic.
• the back wing looks flat and odd because it's not dynamically posed. it just kind of hangs out and lends to the "wearing fake wings" feel.
• the head is a lumpy pumpkin sitting lopsidedly on the shoulders.
• slimming down the body made its head even more disproportionately large.
• a furry creature would not have perfectly shaped markings.

I like where this revamp is going! Got a lot more character and the anatomy IS way better.

I voted for the new one. I like the old hand pose better, it looks more "im tough shit dont even mess w/ me" and less "evil plotting muahahah!" like the new one does. I also like the old one's elbow tuft, the new one seems overdone in that aspect. I also liked the creepy veins on the old wings. I liked the old bangs better as well, the new one looks misplaced. I like the new face and expression way better than the old one, especially the subtle snarl lines over the nose, and it's much nicer without that dumb break in the mouth line :D Also the shading and form is a vast improvement, but i wish the scar followed the shape of the head. I like the new thighs better as well, they're less lumpy. Anyway, now that the anatomy has been improved, the wings really stand out in all their awkwardness. What even are they? Are they vestigial? Can't their anatomy be fixed too? Given that the old ones had veins like a membrane wing, why not make them more like actual bat wings or pterosaur wings? As is they just look like awkward plucked chicken wings.

I am so sorry. That off-color patch is just super apparent on my laptop screen right now but it is not as noticeable looking at it on my desktop or smartphone. No idea what setting is on the laptop that is making it look like just really odd

I like the revamp! The expression and body language is vastly improved, great job! I echo the sentiments on the wings, though, in that they just look fake and out of place with a more realistic drawing style. Other than that, my only criticism would be how out of place the tuft of hair on the forehead looks now. Instead of representing the furriness of the forehead, it literally looks like a tiny pigtail stuck onto the side of his face.

Overall, though, I'm impressed with the improvement! I am not a pet collector, but I have really appreciated all the hard work going into the pet revamps lately. ^___^

The proposed revamp looks amazing! There are only a couple issues I have. The wings appear, to me, to be shaded a bit awkward and they look kind of... pudgy? I can't think of another way to explain. I also hope the scar on the leg/knee area can be brought back. Other than that though, I absolutely love the expression and the wringing of the paws is a great addition. I honestly think when the revamp goes live I'm going to have to get a Charlie. Great job!

Considering the Charlie is supposed to be the "bad" side of the Torrey, I feel the revamp reflects that perfectly!

[edit] Now that it's been said, I see the dark circle on the forehead and now that's beginning to bug me a bit too. Also, like said, the tuft of hair does seem to be attached oddly. Okay, I'm done, I really don't have any further issues!

I think he's almost perfect! I've always liked the design for Charlies, but the old art was sub-par compared to all the newly updated pretties. I've been waiting for this revamp! <3 My only critique is with his shoulders. They seem a tad narrow for the size of his head and wings. I'm not sure the shoulders and body could support the weight of his head and wings :o The attitude, pose and shading are absolutely wonderful though <3 and honestly, I don't mind the wings this way, they look like they're just something that were left over from evolving(or mutating?) and non-functional. I do think they could use a little more shading and shaping, and I did like the vein detail, but I like the fact that they just look like "accessory" wings. They could be more shapely, but I don't want to see them all upright/fluttering. I just don't imagine the Charlie being a fluttery/flying type of pet regardless of wings ^_^

Would agree with the other comments that the wings look out of character.
Charlies have always seemed more 'scrappy' and always on the edge of the trouble, so would have more 'worn in' wings in keeping with the scars/frazzled whiskers, maybe?

I like it, though I agree the head seems a little too large, even for such a cartoon-y pet (it looks kinda creepy... though some creepiness is intentional I guess =P). And the wings don't really bother me personally, but it probably would add a nice touch if they were worked with more.

I don't mind how expressive it is, at least it has personality. But then I was never too attached to the old one anyway. For an old Charlie fan it might be different.

The face looks great, but I have a huge problem with the body. Why is it so skinny all of a sudden? It looks like that tiny body would barely be able to hold up that head o_O I know the head was pretty big on the old one, but the hips / abdomen and legs were bigger and more powerful looking.

Absolutely love the new design, but just small changes would be nice I guess? c: I agree with everybody on the wings and head position, maybe wings a little bit thicker going out from the back. Would be even awesome if the wings resembled of undeveloped hands, that those look a bit like two fingers or something like that hahah! And maybe Charlie's legs to be bit thicker like in older version, looks bit unstable like this x3 But I adore Charlie's expression, already thinking of his next mischief! 😄

I prefer the older one's expression and arm placement. It looked like it was up to something without being as obvious as the new one. All that seems to be missing in the new one is a speech bubble saying "Exccccelllllennnnnt..." Other than that, the art in the new one is overall an improvement and looks a lot less flat.

I absolutely adore it! Omg! I may actually get a charlie now! The sleekness of the design is very beautifully done. I love how you kept the shape, but slimmed it down to make it more sinister. The srk is absolutely fantastic.

A couple opinions though, I understand what people are saying about the plastic looking wings. The singular dot as well as the shading make it look a bit 3d-sticker esque. I'd suggest removing some of the shading on the lower 'v' of the wing. The one whisker on the left hand side is a bit lost in the ear, so I'd suggest darkening them a bit. Just a bit of a suggestion is to liven up the tuft of hair on the right side of the Charlie's head, as it kind of blends in and looks rather soft- which kind of contradicts the rest of the edgier style (imo, but I'm certain many will disagree.) I also kind of miss the strands of fur on the ear, as I thought it matched really well, and went with the overall furry body. I also agree to thicken the upper thigh of the left side- it's a bit too slim and looks a bit unstable. The angle calls for a slight thickness there. I agree with a comment on the first page, there is a patch of shading on the forehead that seems a bit out of place (Where the curve of the eyebrow is.) it's a circular area and it doesn't match up entirely with how the lighting would hit, and looks like the head is dented a bit in.

Overall HUGE improvement. I adore it. I honestly don't think anything NEEDS to be changed, but the critiques are just for improvement if anything at all ❤ Another great job Subeta~

I like the design and not the wings. Please, do NOT use that expression on the Angelics. My sweet little .Happy would be totally ruined.

Just a quick note...I did not vote for the squinty eyed one because he looks evil not cheeky...there is a definite nasty vibe about that one. The one with the wider eyes looks more mischievous.
