I love the revamp!

I'm in love with everything except the new face. The eyes are too close to the top of the head and way too big. That, coupled with the high jaw, makes the rest of the head feel disproportionately small.

But to reiterate, I love the realisticness in the rest of the design. The feet, the tail, the freckles, even the little belly pooch are all so adorable. If the head was bigger, it would be 110% better than the older design.

Whoa, that's adorable! I love the way the paw is over the tail - kind of like "I got whacked in the face by this tail, so I'm going to just put my paw here to stop it happening again" :D And that face is utterly awesome :D

Firstly, I'm so happy to see this guy get an update for the second time. I've disliked the big forehead for a long time, so the proposed new one is so much freakin' better.

I love the ears. I love the fur. I love the new tail. It looks sleeker, and I love the speckles.

My only critiques:

• the size of the eyes might need shrinking. The eye sockets appear too large for the smaller head.

• The ears are positioned in a way that gives it a shy, skittish personality. That may not inherently be a bad thing, if that is what the species, by canon, is generally like.

However, I still recommend re-positioning the ears to make the ontra appear more confident.

Overall, I've been waiting for the ontra to get another revamp. This new one is so much more adorable, and I could see myself finally owning one once the revamp goes through.

This is a much needed and cute revamp. However I agree with others saying the ears should be standing up and not laying down, as well as the tail being an odd shape. I don't particularly care for the extra little fins either. But I do love that the paws have more digits! And the eyes are super cute.

I've never really considered the Ontra for a pet just because they felt kinda of "meh" compared to other pet designs, but WOW I really love this. I love that he has ears now. I love his little chubby face. I love that he has little puppy eyes. I just.... squees

[edit] Just read the other posts, and on the topic of ears, since the Ontra is only based on the RL otter, I don't think it needs to look exactly like it (otherwise it would be named OTTER), so I would personally like the ears to stay ... as is? I like that they look more shy. SHY LITTLE NERVOUS PUPPY ONTRA.

Edit: this is important: I'm a mammalogy major and from an animal standpoint the ears of an aquatic animal (like an otter) should never stand up straight. The ears as drawn are totally accurate/perfect. Because when he dives he can pull his ears down close. With ears that stand up, the cartilage has hardened and it becomes next to impossible for them to be pulled back or down into a tight enough space.

Revamp all the way :o I want 20 of them NOW

One suggestion: the ears make it look kind of browbeaten, sad, or something...negative. Bring them up a bit, lose them altogether again, flatten them more, not sure what, but try something else with them?

oh NEW one of course! It has more character and playfulness about it.

A pet revamp traditionally means they will change all the colorfil colors (including cream) right away, and all the other colors will eventually get redrawn to match the new art. The plan is to get all art consistent.

It's so cute that I have no complaints. Much better head shape, and I like the inclusion of ears, as well as the new detail on the tail

The new face does have a bit of a begging kitten vibe, but I quite like it, it's absolutely adorable! :)

I don't think anything really needs to be changed on the proposed one. I LOVE those ears! I'm a huge fan of downward ears, so I'm hoping those aren't changed from what others say. If this goes through, I might get one. :3c

The face does look chibi-like, but I love the addition of ears and the caudal fins.

Otters are my favorite mammal and I never like the Ontra, so hella.
