The first one is so adorable! I've never been a huge fan of Ontra's but damn, this one is just too cute!

I really really really love 's version. Honestly, I like everything about the revamped ontra except for those large eyes. Please shrink them? (:

I love it! I think it looks more like an adorable otter now. I always wondered why it had a very slight punkhawk before, it seems more natural now :P

This seems much more fitting for the type of species after which the Ontra was originally modeled.

I like Speiro's edits over Lea, because I really don't like the upwards ears. Like, in theory, I could have liked them, but now that I've seen them, it's like, "nah." I really don't like how they look.

Official ears looks mucho better to me.

Every time I see the revamp I keep thinking it's the Chibi color and not the common color. Those huge eyes, and to me the ears, are a contributing factor.

I love Lea's edit, though I think the ears could go a bit smaller.

I adore this revamp and I hope it gets added I'll totally use one. I hope the ears and tail remain the same they're my favorite parts q.q the ears are so cute facing downwards ffff

I would appreciate, if the ears would look more like an otter.

I adore this new design. I think slightly smaller eyes wouldn't go amiss but other than that it's perfect. I actually love the current ears and I hope they don't change.

I love this revamp!! The little lines around the tail give more color freedom with the potion colors too. Plus the ears look great, the fact that ontras didnt have ears before kinda bugged me. and i love the little light color on the muzzle and the added depth to the skull and the little tiny fins on the tail, IDK Its all great

This is so absolutely wonderful. I find it to be ridiculously adorable and may even consider an adoption if this revamp stick. I can't get over the ears, the tail and the snout. Love love love this revamp!

Overall I'm a fan of the new design (I just want to pinch new ontra's cheeks!), but the extra fins on the tail feel out of place.

Current *Pros: I love the larger feet size of the current artwork *Cons: Head coloring lacks the depth of the proposed piece.

Proposed *Pros: The expressive face and eyes. *Cons: I like and dislike the new tail. Love the side fins, but the colors at the tip are too harsh.

I plan in voting for the proposed, but would love to see 1. Larger feet and 2. Either the tail end color mellowed, or the ears modified to match the tail color. That would balance it out. Kudos to the artists!

it's much better! but I prefer to have the ears on top of the head I think... idk, something with the ears is off IMO

I'm sure admin has all the feedback they need, but this user is behind the revamp 100% :) None of the pet designs on this site make me go "GAH!", but of course there are always ways to improve. Job well done.

Often if revamp polls come up, I am a bit torn, as I got used to the old art, and the new art has as many quirks as well. So, when I read "Ontra Revamp Poll" I immediately cringed a bit inside; the Ontra is and ever was my most favorite pet species on subeta! D=

Then I scrolled down a bit more, saw the art... - the very best revamp I have seen on subeta yet, I think! (I am biased though, for being an ontra- and real otters-fan alike. ^^" )

As far as I can tell, there is no single line of that revamp I would like to see changed anymore. =)

Not much of an actual critic, so far. Still, needed to be said!

Now, to add a bit more detail:

I especially love the tiny ears, I never noticed how much I missed ears on an ontra's head until I saw those! I also am surprised how well they fit, when I was used to the no-ears ontra-head so far.

The new tail / tailfins are perfect. They are very well transformed from the old image, and enhance that distinct look, that makes an ontra look different from an usual (real) otter or any (real) seal-like species.

Can't wait to see what (in the future) the galactic and glacier revamps may look like (if they get any. To add ears maybe. grins )
