Good golly, I love the additional fins on the tail, and the addition of the ears has been SORELY needed. And the front paws are SUDDENLY SO CUTE.

I would really like to see the eyes downsized a bit - and maybe even the nose, too. Right now the facial features are almost comically large in the face. I get that the artist (I assume) was going for cute and pleading, but I am personally finding it closer to an uncanny valley awkward because of how the eyes and nose are the biggest features the ontra has.

Another minor thing is... I know subeta loves to have thick and full chest fluff. Too many of us on this site watched oliver and company in our formative years. But the ontra is smooth and sleek except for short hair tufts - except for that chest. It's a very thick, full fluff. It's a small thing, but it would be super nice to see some of that chest fur trimmed.

i like the new body ,pose and face of the new version but i prefer the head without ears xDD i guess i cant decide which one is better XD

I didn't notice the line on the forehead of the new one. Even having it pointed out, I don't see anything wrong with it being there. I'd personally leave it.

Once the eyes are made smaller, then the line might be less noticeable.

I love this revamp it's really cute! Only thing I could suggest is the ears being small and round like otters. It still is really cute though. Thanks for letting us have a say

Oh and can I please request that you keep the spectrum Ontra with white fur. When someone redid the Pherret it was grey which made me sad.

I am definitely in favor of the revamp.

The only thing about it that stands out to me as something I don't like is that random line drawn vertical between its eyes. I think it's supposed to be like, mohawk-ish fur, but it just doesn't translate well. c:

Assuming they revamp all the pets I'm making the assumption they'll probably revamp Alexander to match too. I can't remember if they've actually done that in the past but it would make sense if they did though.

As for comments, I don't really have any. I like the more dynamic pose overall, and the fact that the head isn't as elongated on the current one, but I agree that the eyes and nose are a bit too cutesy. I almost voted for the old one purely because I wasn't a fan of the eyes and nose but if they were downsized I wouldn't have an issue with the pet overall. The anatomy and overall pose is a lot better in the new one than the old one, overall.

I love the new ontra! Go with it!

I wonder if the cat-like appearance people are seeing has something to do with the nose/muzzle? It's actually pretty similar to the feli, now that I'm looking at it.

I wonder if there's a way to better distinguish it, like making it wider or a little more square maybe? Just something a little more unique. I want to say "make it more otter-like," but I really don't know what that would entail, so that's not super helpful. :P

Definitely an improvement I say, over all the revamp is just cuter.

I like the update a lot. I like the folded ears and the added fins on the tail. I do really like the smaller eyes someone posted better. They make the cheeks look chubbier. :) I can totally live with the larger eyes though.

The new one is so adorable! The only thing that's bothering me is the eyes. They look a bit too large and chibi. I think it will look better if the size of the eyes were reduced slightly.

The art on the new one is obviously a lot better; love how fluffy it looks. Though I think I prefer the pose of the old one, how it's looking up kind of slyly instead of just looking at you with giant puppydog eyes

If it ain't broke, why fix it? I keep seeing that fat kid face. First the Oracle then Shinwa and now the Ontra. Many portraitists don't realise that they're doing the same face (usually their own) over and over.

I really loved the new design But I think those folded ears look a little bit strange And the eyes should be smaller, idk, it looks like a chibi ontra

This looks absolutely adorable! Can you just imagine what the chibi ontra would look like?

The only thing that I might change would be to make the eyes a bit smaller. Someone made an edit and posted it in the news post about this and it looked even better.
