If you don't agree with someone, that's fine. If someone's a neonazi, are you supposed to be tolerant of their opinions? No, you're supposed to give them a really stupid look and get the fuck away from them because they're nothing but a cesspool of bad karma and bad life choices. You're not, however, supposed to cause them bodily harm or wish ill-will on them because then you're no better than they are. Tolerance has a line.

If someone doesn't like this revamp, or any revamp, than that's okay. Not everyone has to, or will, like everything. If someone doesn't like it because she's chunkier than a barbie now.. that's fine too because everyone has their own flavor and there's nothing wrong with that. However, saying she looks like a bloated pig rotting in the sun for two weeks she's disgusting she's obese and all fatties need to be sent to fat camp because o-m-g I can't even look at them without gagging-- then that makes someone a piece of shit who doesn't deserve the tolerance of other's until they come to realize how much of a shithead they are and work to better their opinions of people based on appearances :'D!

well outright shutting other people's opinions down is not a great way to go about things, that's what I mean when I say being intolerant of other people's opinions. Because someone else has a conflicting opinion does not mean that both sides cannot be right in some way, and it does not warrant excessive sarcasm or what can look like bullying, even if their opinion is wrong. But I agree with you, you stated things more thoroughly than I could.

Sarcasm can be taken the wrong way, I try not to use it woth people I don't know well. There is a large difference. I don't know if many people really want the old shinwa back... I never saw that as an option. Maybe update it to resemble the old shinwa closer, but not go back to the original. The new one definitely is better, there are just certain things that bother many people. It used to bother me more but I've sorta gotten used to it.

There is a (small) group who wants the unrevamped Shinwa back. There is a group who wants Deyra's version to be the official version. And I'm sure there's a group that does not give a shit at this point. points to self

I just keep telling people, if they don't like it, learn to fix it themselves and replace the image. That's what I did. I didn't like that her face looked oddly swollen due to the jawline and ear not lining up behind the hair, so I fixed that. And I put it in my custom CSS. And the end. (I did the same thing with creepy Gollum's eyes. Creepy Golum is now angel child again. Problem solved)

I just.... there is so much bitching... and like, omg it's art... on a site... that influences your life 0%. Just don't look at it. CSS that shit. The only people it will influence are the new users, who have no comparison.

I'd prefer shinwa in a new pose, possibly holding her bow in an action pose, since she has one of the original god weapons named after her. But I don't think this will happen.

I never said there was perfect symmetry. Life is imperfect, it's not going to happen. But as has been pointed out, the closer a person comes, the more attractive they seem. And frankly now that I have Deyna's version, I really don't care much any more.

So idk if anyone knows this, but aside from the visual revamp, her prizes got tweaked. I haven't received a single good stat booster from her since the revamp, and I do her every day. Coal today, backpack yesterday, numerous other "junky" Shinwa prizes the days before.

I just noticed that this revamp got a lot of slack and I'm really upset for the artist who invested the time/effort/energy in to it. When I saw it for the first time on the quest page (because who doesn't start at Shinwa for questing amiright?!) I was floored. I think she looks GREAT! I'm so thrilled she finally, FINALLY received an update. It's been years and I love that she's turned in to this great young woman. Her dress, the folds in her clothing, her hair and accessories.. I love it all!

I've been staring at Shinwa all month and something still felt off. I finally realized that it's something about the color. It's the contrast or something, like the artist used the burn tool or overdid it with the saturation?

And I still think the perspective is off on her hair, and I've been using a (poorly) edited version of my own for that. So I took that edit, and tweaked the color a little, and I really like how it came out. If anyone's interested, feel free to use it any way you see fit.

i love the clothes and hair but the face just seems really off for some reason and i'm not sure i like it :(

No offence to the artist...but this is really quite scary looking. The face looks swollen. The right arm looks oddly muscular while the left doesn't. I'm not really a fan. Sorry.
