Adding makeup and giving her lipo and a nose job YES SHE IS PERFECT NOW
[edit] Oh shit though, those boobs were so inflatable. Lemme go get my tire pump real quick.
THE MARK OF SATAN.
OMG. YES. THE MARK OF SATAN.

I get it that we were used to the old Shinwa. I get it that there were some artistic elements that needed fixing. And now besides getting used to a revamp, which always takes time no matter the character, is there really anything else worth critiquing?
We like her or we don't; fair enough. But besides that, can't we just let her be? Do we have to argue with each other over who's view is the correct one?
Does she have to be "pretty"? Does a goddess have to be pretty? I mean the one that was posted earlier on had freaking FOUR arms! I'm sure her parents loved her just as much as her two-armed siblings. :P
Come now, let us hug one another and live in peace, or something.
[EDIT] I'm not saying your opinion isn't valid of course. And everyone knows the more symmetrical a face, or body, the more we find it attractive, the closer to perfection it is. However this has been a really long topic and this piece of art has been shredded to pieces over and over, mostly in what seems to be an aim to get her "prettier", as the art itself was mostly addressed very early on. People have been at each other's throats from the get-go. And I admit to find it increasingly difficult to see yet another "woman's body" be scrutinised and dissected and then criticised. I hate seeing the real world creeping into Subeta. Anyway... That's how I feel about it. n_n"
SHINTAN.
I UNDERSTAND NOW.

Well. I believe we've made this thread 100% Better. Our work here is done.

Do you need me to post some animal headed gods and goddesses?
To answer your question though, yes. Most often gods and goddesses reflect perfection. This depends on the culture though. There are probably exceptions to this as there are for anything.
^^ I think we get the picture! :D However I do feel bad about forgetting that particular goddesses name. Shanti, something like that? From around India, no?
[EDIT] LAKSHMI! There we are!
@ nonchalant

[edit] aw shit do you know the idea of perfection in Sacred Lands (you know, that made up place in Subeta that the Staff can dicate anything for?) No? Hm interesting.
Shinwa doesn't represent perfection for any culture on Earth? Huh? No? Interesting.
See above gif.
Frankly, I understand that some people like change for the sake of change. But it was very annoying that commenting on the imperfections in the artwork and how it could be touched up led to some people snapping like rabid dogs. I'm not talking about the people who made rude comments (and there were some) but those who gave honest critiques. And yes, symmetry is important, not just to people. Did you know butterflies with ragged wings rarely get a chance to mate? Symmetry equals health and strength for them.

I found it under Devi but she goes by a few names, that could be one of them.
Though what I said in my last post, the artist here can do whatever they want and we really need to get to the point where we get over it if we don't like it by now. This thread should have stopped two pages after the second revamp, hardly anyone is adding anything useful at this point.
You realize that no human on earth has exact symmetry of the body?
@ RedCalypso No, I didn't know that! Poor butterflies. :) They perhaps don't fly the same either.
@ Introvert Woah, that's weird. Hanging on to my own face a little longer I think, not if it's gonna look like that!
Well, I think this topic has served its purpose. Gonna unsubscribe. See ya all around some time! n_n
before you give me your judgmental and sarcastic remarks, read everything I've said on the topic.
as stated a few pages back "With this said, there shouldn't really be a way for them [gods/goddesses] to look. I get it people want the goddesses to stand out, look super human in some way, but at this point, it is just left up to the artist's interpretation. "
my other statements were just for some slight historical background because people have taken the depictions of Greek and Roman goddesses out of context.

I think you kinda contradicted yourself then ?_?
"People want gods/goddesses to look supernatural. but it shouldn't matter because this is artist's interpretation" posts pictures of four-armed goddess
The reason Greek/Roman goddesses were referenced was because they look 1) Common 2) Human and 3) Fuller/thicker/not Barbie-eqsue. It was to show that goddesses CAN look like how Shinwa looks now. It was a comparison.
At the time those were created though, that look was ideal. Goddesses created today would probably be paper thin (if made in the united states, again it will vary)
I am not disagreeing with what you're saying for the most part, but other people have valid and somewhat opposite opinions to what you have. This doesn't make their opinions wrong, they have different ideals. I don't think any of this matters to shinwa though. A revamp is drawn. If people like it, great. If not, people need to move on.
I agree. I'm just here for the entainment. (though not wrong, i would say their opinions are poor sorry not sorry. they are based on very shallow values and I have to say it) Moreso, I think revamps like this really show the kind of users we have on this site... and who to not friend request c_c or even bother with in future threads.
Some people can't help their views though. Not letting people off the hook with really offensive and awful opinions, but saying everyone else's opinions are poor and shallow is just as intolerant. It's better off to try to understand them than argue with them and alienate some people who may have contributed something useful.
