Sooooooo
I know I did my battle quests again when I got home from work last night, after they were reset. I am -confident- that I did them before midnight. I finished twenty before I called it a night and went to bed.
So I went to do my battles after finishing the rest of my quests. And I'm at level 21 still. Do they not actually reset at midnight? Or did I do them after midnight and just tell myself it was before?
Should I make a thread to ask about this? I mean, I assumed that the battle quests would reset to one at midnight. Was I wrong?

They did not reset BQs at all last night. I finished them all well before midnight and I am still stuck at 30/30 Quick, do the rest of them before the subeta staff wakes up!
Man, if Pacifist could beat Sanddragon, we would have lol Need to train more :c

I do not like the placements/sizes/colors/etc of the various options. Here's this tiny little link to continue to the battle at hand. CLICK HERE TO SKIP THIS FIGHT, USING A SIZE AND COLOR THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO AUTOMATICALLY CLICK THIS.
I browsed this thread and if this was answered already and I missed it, I'm sorry.
My question, though, is why bring back the retired challengers? Is it just to get some variety in the opponents or will there actually be a chance to win some of their loot/get their achievements?
If it's the first one, then I guess it's a nice touch to change things up a bit. But ultimately I don't see the point of it if there's not going to be a chance for us to actually reap the benefits of fighting these opponents.
Heck, even in the button was in red that would be a huge help. Instead of being the same color as the "proceed to next step" buttons on all the other pages.
I was thinking having some type of border like one of the BAM! POW! clouds like on the old batman series around the opponent would be cute and make it more apparent that the picture is a click-able link. I had friends who did BQs for years and didn't know that!

It's a refreshing change. Rotating though the same 15 guys for the past couple years is just monotonous and tedious and repetitive and redundant as hell. (you see what I did there?)
I discovered they were clickable still right after I posted my last comment, actually ! It makes things easier, but even though I have been doing BQ's since the start (or close to ?), I didn't realize it was clickable still. Mostly because there is now a separate link and it made my eyes and brain go 'must click this.' And now that there is a BIG GLARING BUTTON, I want to click that instead. I think indicating the picture is what you should be clicking would be the best idea. A border is simple and would do the job.
I realize this is 100% my fault, but damn, could you guys make it a little bit easier for absent-minded people like me? I accidentally skipped two quests that I WANTED! because that damn button is the only link that looks like a button link on the page. I would really just like the know the logic behind that layout dcision. Other than that I really have no opinions because I disliked them before and I dislike them right now.

The skipping is still not incentive for a GA for me. It doesn't match my BQing style.
Until the revamp I was doing easy, medium and hard challengers to get exp for my tier 6. I then skipped very and extremely hard and then I did the impossibles for tokens. The current skipping options are not compatible with this.
If the cap is raised then I shall be doing every single quest with no skipping.
Extra BQs and no ads are the only reasons for me to have a GA. Keith already explained in a different thread how to get rid of adverts without a GA so that only leaves extra BQs. If I get all 30 BQs without a GA then it is no good for me at all. I want to keep getting it to support the site but I also want features that I'll use.
The challenger is not "still" but due to popular request again clickable.
I really like the revamped, tweaked BQs. Although I agree about the graphics -- especially the "skip" buttons, I think overall it's a vast improvement.
I like the progressive order of the BQs. It makes it easier, when working with multiple pets, to only have to switch weapons once for each pet instead of the constant back and forth.
I like the predictability of the exp. I'm actually getting a little bit more exp than I used to, so I really like that.
Most of all, I like that there is a clear, obvious effort by staff to listen to and address the needs of the users. While you can't please everyone all the time (and some people never) I think you deserve credit for trying. :)
I love the new BQs! What if the retired boss opponents prizes will be an item from their loot? :D
^^ THIS. i really love the new bqs, i actually can see myself doing them now and at the rate im doing i get 13 stats a day getting to level 15-16, depending if i can beat the hard challenger given. and im at tier 5, with tier 4 weapons. now the next thing i'd like to see done is the stealable items from the challengers given pixels to click/see while battling. i constantly forget to read the text and realize i stole a bad item when i think it's a decent item i took instead. not every item has to have its own pixels, but even if the challenger has one generic pixel item for the stolen items i feel like would be an improvement. otherwise i LOVE the new bqs, like i said before. GREAT JOB STAFF.
Same... still not a reason for me to spend $5 a month. I use 2 skips and get the same challengers that I cannot beat so.. still no point.
Same. It's incredibly frustrating that I've accidentally used my skip on early quests when I would like to save it for getting screwed with prodigy in the last set. Why does it need to be so enormous?
[sub]All of the giant buttons in the new design scheme remind me of phones/remotes for elderly people. Are tptb losing their eyesight?[/sub]
Now I'm getting afraid to hit any of the big blue buttons. Subconsciously I keep telling myself not to hit the big blue button.
START LEVEL # "EEEE don't hit it!"
SKIP QUEST "THAT ONE! DON'T HIT THAT ONE!"
BATTLE QUESTS "Don't hit it! Wait, nope. No, you can hit that one."
BACK FOR ANOTHER "I can hit that one, right?"
I like the new BQ. I don't understand why anyone would want to skip to level 15 and miss out on all those EXP points, but whatever. I guess if people wanted the feature, then they can have it.
Despite some issues at the beginning, I've come to really like the new Battle Quests myself. I like that we have a guaranteed amount of experience per day rather than running the risk of having a really bad day; I've never been very fond of overly randomized things. I feel like there might still be some tweaking that needs to be done, unless staff is fine with gold accounts not getting nearly the benefits we had before (which, to be honest, dissuades me from buying a GA again; I used to get them mainly for the extra experience from BQs, as I rarely keep up with other quests), but otherwise, I like these fine.
Would it be at all possible to ensure we don't have the same opponent twice, though? I just had Prodigy as my 30th opponent, and when I skipped, I got Prodigy. I tried skipping and got Prodigy again. This... well, it makes me feel less inclined to renew my GA, and it was incredibly frustrating.

Level 28/30 It's time for you to face General Error! Click here to challenge them!
Looks like I've found a use for the skip quest button. I've been getting this extremely hard challenger GE every day in the impossible tier since inception. Like the time savings, but prefer a shot at the impossible token instead.
Also, what's with the "Click" text and the non centered "Challenge (Opponent's Name)" button on the same line?
