Caught red handed! D<
I got a little chuckle out of that. Thanks. xD
I'm gonna admit that the new system is growing on me - however I am questing with my 'baby' battlers that are about T7/8. I think I'd be really annoyed with the amount of low EXP payouts if I was trying to train a pet up to capped from T12 or something.
On the subject of old opponents - it would be nice if there was a rare chance to get an 'Artifact Token' or something and you could save these up to buy old opponent loot for a lot of tokens.
You have to be fairly lucky to get well over 30k exp in the pre-revamped battle quests. Before the easier and a few harder opponents were added (Techniant, Vulty, Three rift challengers, Pete, Hustler and also Sanddragon and MaFa), 30k or more exp per day was typical because Prodigy has a better chance of showing up. I expected to see Prodigy around twice back then. Now as people mentioned from their more recent BQ results, it's more between 20-25k exp when those challengers were added.
To be fair, I believe it was said shortly, not soon. I for one thought that sounded MUUUUUUCH more promising :D
I literally do not understand the logic here. Click the tiny text link to do the thing you're probably hoping to do. DO NOT MASH THE GIANT RED BUTTON.
At least we can click on the opponent's image...?
I just came here to make the same comment. Why is it so easy to skip and hard to press the button to do what we are there to do?
Yeah I think there's a couple of usability upgrades here including the massive red button:
Because this was level 1 you earned 250 experience! Because this was level 2 you earned 250 experience! Because this was level 3 you earned 250 experience! Because this was level 4 you earned 250 experience! Because this was level 5 you earned 500 experience! Because this was level 6 you earned 350 experience! Because this was level 7 you earned 350 experience! Because this was level 8 you earned 350 experience! Because this was level 9 you earned 350 experience! Because this was level 10 you earned 1000 experience! Because this was level 11 you earned 450 experience! Because this was level 12 you earned 450 experience! Because this was level 13 you earned 450 experience! Because this was level 14 you earned 450 experience! Because this was level 15 you earned 1200 experience! Because this was level 16 you earned 700 experience! Because this was level 17 you earned 700 experience! Because this was level 18 you earned 700 experience! Because this was level 19 you earned 700 experience! Because this was level 20 you earned 1500 experience! Because this was level 21 you earned 900 experience! Because this was level 22 you earned 900 experience! Because this was level 23 you earned 900 experience! Because this was level 24 you earned 900 experience! Because this was level 25 you earned 2500 experience! Because this was level 26 you earned 1300 experience! Because this was level 27 you earned 1300 experience! Because this was level 28 you earned 1300 experience! Because this was level 29 you earned 1300 experience! Because this was level 30 you earned 3500 experience!
each level exp payout [26k total] 1500 2400 3000 4300 6100 8700
ok i like it 85% now but why is the sp payout gone [15%]?

I like these changes, I think this helps.
That said, I wish the "It's time for you to face ____! Click here to challenge them!" hyperlink was a lot larger or at least a little farther away from the skip notice.
The "SKIP THIS STEP" banner which is at least 4 times as big and very easy to misclick on.
I'm also not a fan of the three HUGE buttons below the "you've won" page, if only because the "click here to finish this quest" is absurdly tiny in comparison. I'd like to know why the quest start and completion links aren't big noticeable buttons too.
The layout needs to change slightly.
Above the skip, we need to add a just as big green "challenge them" button.
Also, can we merge the EXP reward and the item reward page?
This would be really cool.
Agreeing that the skip button is way too big, especially in comparison to the button to actually challenge the opponent. Also annoyed that the quests still haven't been reset and it's well after 2am. Day 2 of manual battle quests and the staff has already forgotten it. Great planning.
On the subject of old opponents - it would be nice if there was a rare chance to get an &;Artifact Token&; or something and you could save these up to buy old opponent loot for a lot of tokens.
This would be really cool. +1 to this, I'd love to see it happen!
Liking the new retooling of the quest, but then I have a baby pet and I'm not really a battler, so... :D I hope staff keep taking the suggestions of the battle community into account like this going forward as well.
The new changes are good, but I think the button to challenge the opponent should be bigger, and not just a clickable text word. I accidentally skipped an opponent because the bigger button is so much more inviting, whoops.
Also chiming in that the layout is ridiculous, why is nobody thinking and just leaving it the old way?
o.k., so lets talk my money: So I now have 2 skips a day? In exchange for 10 more quests/XP? How nice 'roll eyes'. What's the use/advantage of being able to skip? Esp. now, when XP is given out for each challenger? I don't see me quit/skip anyone but Baenwurath and maybe uber-revamped plot bosses, that will only turn up every blue moon.
I repeat, I am not paying $ 25 for this, I paid it in advance for the 300 extra quests worth XP a month.
edit: Ah! I would have 1/day if not GA anyway?! So GA is even more useless, when I can skip as a normal user, too.
Why would I skip whole batches of the small challengers? They still give out XP and I am taking this ordeal upon me/have been paying to make more XP. Or I could still have the little pets battle the small opponents, thus giving them some XP, too.
i looks like it would very easy to click the skip button when you would not want to so yes smaller would be good.
THANK YOU! NHS... Think pink this October..
Yeah I have to agree with . If another skip is all GAs are going to get, I have no interest in renewing mine. I autoprice once in a blue moon and while the regular quests are nice, there's no way they'll cover the price of a GA these days and make it worthwhile.
The jump to 15 is pointless as well, considering how much EXP the smaller challengers give - when it was 0 - 150 EXP max it wasn't a big deal if I was in a rush as it'd probably total to ~1500 EXP. Here it's totally skewed and you're getting 5700 EXP (excluding hard boss, not sure where you end up when you jump?). If you're in a rush, it's still beneficial to blitz through the challenges given what a large proportion of the EXP they give vs. how long it takes to beat them.
I like the changes and if it stays like that I'm going to keep doing my BQs. As for the GA benefit, yeah it's kinda lame but luckily I never got my GA for that purpose alone so for me it's all good. :)
I do kinda like how good it's gonna be for smaller pets. They're going to see big increases in the average amount of EXP they receive, especially if you have a tier 4 who can go through the hard challengers (shouldn't be too hard, Nightshade might pose some trouble, too lazy to check). I think I'll carry on doing them with my smaller pets when Algebra caps if the distribution stays as it is.
Maybe a better idea for GAs would be a flat 33% buff on EXP awarded or something (rebalance the rewards so GA users receive the 26k EXP vs. 26k EXP + 33% extra). That's a little more in line with what we were getting before; effectively a 50% increase.
(also please remove GE from the Impossible challengers; he's beatable at tier 9, probably easier than Saggi and it's weird)
