MAY 25: UPDATE + AMA
HELLO, ALL. Life has been a butt to both of us. If you are wondering what we've been doing, the answer is: our best.
amber has been doing things behind the scenes with items, which is not helpful to you right now. ariel and amber are working on finalizing pricing for two rose and thorn items, so they'll be comin at u soon
bug (hi) has been trying to do little QoL updates as well as staying on top of bug reports and bug fixes and working on a bunch of TOP SECRET things behind-the-scenes! here's some examples of the teeny tiny qol stuff...
- You can no longer make forum groups with invalid characters in the tag. (Things like hashtags, hyphens, etc that make the group un-pingable.)
- Invalid species and colors have been removed from the Adopt-R-Us search page. (These are like bumbus, hydrus and bhakoru, which cannot be abandoned without changing into a different species or color.)
- The text informing you how much time is remaining in a training session has been tweaked to avoid referring to your pet as an "it"
question time
All right! So for this week's update, we wanted to do something a little bit different.
First off, what are some quality-of-life updates you'd love to see this summer? What are your favorite site features and how can we make them better? What do you do every day on the site that could be improved? Note: We won't have time to do every suggestion, of course, but we'd like to get a general idea of what y'all want to see. If a suggestion pops up that we know we won't be doing, we'll make sure to reply and let you know!
Second, Ask Us Anything! While we're here, we also want to invite you to ask us any questions you may have, about Subeta or about us! We'll do our best to answer anything about Subeta, even silly questions like why are there so many ladybug items ([user=amber has a great story about that). can answer more technical questions and anything code-related. And uh, will answer anything about yarn. No need to ping us with questions, we'll be lurking like the lurks we are!
REGARDING TEAHUT: there will be a topic specifically for this in the future from the creative department. We won't be answering anything about it here, sorry! We promise it is happening, but the topic from CD will have actual information about it and not just us trolling you guys here with ??? WHO KNOWOoOWWOS, which is known to do.

With the wardrobe, IDK if this is possible in the current version, but I've toyed with this idea and here it is;
Lock items in place on the avatar.
If a shirt goes under a vest and you're trying to pick which shirt, it's pretty annoying to continually have to click and drag things. I'd love an option to just lock something so it stays at the top of the list and things are automatically added beneath it on the HA.
I would like to see more quests and more achievements for them. I know we get 15 quests for each one but it would be nice if you could up it to 20 and then maybe 10 for the blue building.

This old woman would give much for some sorely needed eye relief, if we're talking quality of life. Many nights I sit up playing Subeta, wishing there was a night-mode. *nods

If it's just 2-3 items, sure you can go through account search, but when you're trying to pull out 200 items, it's a whole lot of copy pasting when it could just be a click! ;;

Well, I've already recently mentioned this on the usability and improvement thread or whatever it's called, but I would like to see the coin machine added to the games page so I don't have to click on the map, then centropolis, then the lower west side to get there, I can instead just click on games. Maybe then I wouldn't get so annoyed every time I get a coin from a random event or the bathhouse X)
Also, do you have any events planned for summer? Or can you not spoil too much about that? Just a hint would be nice...

I'd love to see a button to complete all the pets' training sessions. I mean, I understand training should take an effort, but leave that to putting the pets in another session of training, so we can have a button at the top of the page to finish all the active sessions, loading another page that says the name of each pet and how many status they improved
[Edit] yeah, or maybe a link when you click on a coin, saying 'use this coin" that leads you to the machine, just like what happens with scratchcards
I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, but can the items in Blackheart Hollow be purchasable by clicking the item image itself instead of the small "buy" box underneath the item image?
Also, I sadly missed the Morostide 2018 plot but would like to read up on what happened. Is there a place on Subeta to read up on past plots?

Seconded!! Until Subeta hopefully gets a night mode, may I recommend Silverfish's Night Mode CSS? I almost always play at night time and it saved my eyes.
@/Bug I'd pay much sP for a way to sort my wardrobe's saved outfits, like drawers, hashtags or something like that. Searching for an outfit without clicking through 50 pages of everything from Halloween to Regular HA contests makes me want to buy a stressball.
Also: Peka-Boo Festival 2.0? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

seconding this ;; my wardrobe is in desperate need of some TLC and i just dont have the patience to use the other tool to do that. also would LOVE if we could add items to drawers in-wardrobe w/o having to manage that in the other page as well.
Agreeing with Cathii's suggestion about a button to remove an item from the wardrobe. I'd also love it if it were easier to add wardrobe items to drawers. I gave up trying to organize my drawers ages ago because it was so time consuming.
I'd also like to be able to filter by/tag items in the wardrobe as cash shop items. I know that's a longshot, but you did ask for suggestions. :D

I'll be passing these wardrobe suggestions on to who is working on a new and improved version of the wardrobe! These both sound like reasonable suggestions to me, so we'll definitely discuss it!
There's been a huge ongoing project at Subeta HQ to make a new site layout, and we have discussed incorporating a night mode into this new layout! Since our efforts have been focused on this new layout, we unfortunately won't be adding a night mode to the current one.
However, a fellow user and cool bug made a beautiful and free Night Mode CSS. You can find it here: -Night Mode- Shengui Guo Custom CSS [v2.0] I highly recommend it!

this is probably far too big to do much with, but I made a thread about rebalancing/raising the money you get from playing games to make them worth playing, and everyone who posted on it seemed in favor.
Even if it's still a lot less than questing, it'd be nice to have a reason other than achievements to play the games.
Since I've seen that it may be impossible to change the actual flash games themselves, maybe a static multiplier added to the payout afterwards?
