another forum suggestion, so right now I wanted to quote only what replied to me, but I had to quote all the post and remove the rest of the answers, can we have a button that let us quote a part of the post? Maybe I'm doing it wrong so if yes please tell me. I'm not so good with coding haha

Bug, more than customizing my experience, I just don't find the site to even be reasonably navigable without widgets. They surface a ton of information you have to know exactly where to find and allow me to get from point A to B without a dozen map clicks in between. They let me track items and threads that would otherwise just be buried in a ton of things I find nonrelevant. Without them, I need either a text file of links or to bookmark all the things.

OMG... how did I never even see that Forum Title thread before now?? That makes things so much easier. I totally get wanting people to figure things out, but I was hitting my head against the wall and thinking there was simply no resource at all, let alone a user-updated one.

EDIT - I guess the follow-up to that would be if there's any movement on bringing back the forum search functionality? XD

First of all, thank you so much for the various QoL improvements you've done! After recently getting back into Subeta, I've noticed the site is much easier to navigate than it used to be! ❤

Okay, on to the rest of the post...

• The Bathhouse link in Shengui Guo (the one under “Where would you like to go?” and not the one on the map) goes to the Bathhouse shop and not the lobby, which would make more sense.
• Pika Park doesn’t have a little link to the Glad underneath it like some of the other maps do. Neither does the Farmer’s Market have a link to the Dragon of Autumn.
• The “Return to XYZ” area aren’t consistent.. See Esther vs Oatmeal vs Charity and then places like the Zapper doesn’t have it at all.

(hur, all this because I wanted to go to see the bathhouse because I had some ideas about how to fit in the erase food/books theme)

So a popular thing in bathhouses is to have different pools that are supposed to be good for your skin in one way or another (tea, coffee, and wine are really popular ones). An idea would be some sort of tea soak that causes memory loss: Five Flavored Tea of Forgetfulness or & & or other herbs like datura which can cause memory loss/memory issues.

Thistle & hyssop are used as cures for loss of appetite = make pets hungry again. Senna is a popular ingredient in detox teas (or dandelion is also) = remove food eaten. Lavender/chamomile is calming = make pets bored again.

In any case, this would be super cool to see incorporated somehow.

Oh so I imagined there is something else that performs the widgets function? Hopefully that helps. Don't scrap the notepad please! It would be nice to have discussion about the layout here. I have seen some of it on Twitter, but I don't use that at all so it's pretty difficult to voice my opinions offsite.

Oh, is it still being worked on? Alright. I still think a mention would be neat-o tho. Most people aren't even aware a layout change is coming in the future.

Took me a while to think of a QoL suggestion but here it is.

So, the forum signature input area has a character limit. It doesn't say this, nor does it say what the limit is. On top of that, I find whatever limit it is to be too small. My signature looks quite small in my opinion, but I can't add much more links or even decorations because the URLs put me over. Like if I want to use the cool new table codes to fancy up my signature, I probably don't have enough room to. In short the coding itself takes up more space than the text it creates and the character limit is harsh about this. I don't know if the limit can be increased or changed in the way it differentiates or anything, but definitely would like to see the limit noted to begin with. It's disappointing writing something, hitting save, and getting an error that it's too long.

In that same train of thought, I don't know why there's a character limit in the first place, when there's already a limit that tells you what the combined height of your forum image + signature is allowed, which looks at the text which is created, and not the coding used to make it. My signature of links isn't tall enough to go over the height limit, but the character limit is what stops me.

If nothing else, hopefully you can understand the frustration.

I got some lore for you. NPC Ying is ...lenient. She has always thought Subetans are so very dirty, but up until now she hasn't chosen to say what obvs needed to be said that it's not just the outsides of all us'ns that are filthy. Now that she has gotten us accustomed to the very very basics of proper cleanliness, she has condescended to try out whether we'd do the clean thing on our pets. Now,, there are now soothing massage pools for erasing thoughts that are not consistent with the Three Pearls of the Zharmah, and a vomitorium for removing unfortunate foods having to do with fish (she is a torrent after all) or dark matter (she's surpisingly okay with NPC Bubble's and NPC Babette's fare, but she may make a pet eat something from Fresh and Flavorful first. Maybe NPC Otoh can stock an emetic. She must be very lenient indeed!)

Because she has particular ideas about what you should eat/know there's a possibility you'd lose a random number of more foods and books than intended, randomly.

You could add the word "book" to all books, and the worda "vesnali flower" to all flowers that are vesnali flowers.

While thinking about the headings - Could there be an option to choose what color the heading is? Or a setting where you could choose the color for all admin posts in a group. Not sure if that's possible, but I thought it was a neat idea~

A couple more QoL things:

I've completely redone a couple pets' TCs in the past as well as removed items to abandon a pet. Could there be a 'remove all items' button added to the TC page?

Could the "Cash Shop - Costume Trunk" link in the shop search take you directly to that item's trunk instead of just the page with all the trunks? Or at least say which trunk it's from in the link?

As an add on to this: you cannot have more than one image in your signature --- I wanted to have my two little icons to advertise my forum groups, but had to put them together and make them transparent again. It would be nice if we could use multiple images as long as the total size was below the limit.

speaking of qol suggestions, the option to hide or minimize item descriptions in the item directory

consistency w/r/t rarity styling like pointed out over here would also be nice

Regarding achievements. I would love to see job achievements. You can have a slew of new achievements just by getting a job and then reaching top tier for each job. Achievement titles could be the name of the top tier. Thanks.
