<p>I have been away for irl reasons, but I’ve been catching up on various threads about the potential of non-unique pet names.</p>
<p>How about this as a suggestion?</p>
<p>/users/Fletch/pets/Jack</p>
<p>Can we make a pet a sub-resource to a user? It would let you remove the uniqueness constraint on pet names and still link a pet to a specific user.</p>
<p>Hear me out for the next couple of paragraphs. /pets/Jack is just a vanity URL anyway. In truth, pets are just a sub-resource to a user, and the user is a first class citizen for Subeta. Users have an avatar. Users have [0..n] pets pets. Any new feature is going to be tied to us as the user going forward.</p>
<p>Yeah, there are a couple of gotchas. The pet spotlight winner list, for one. The BB code for pet=name. We’d have to identify and work through these cases, but it’s incredibly achievable.</p>
<p>I’ve been trying to think of a counter argument that is technical in nature, and I just can’t come up with one.</p>

<p>I’d be more than happy to help in anyway possible with this one. Seriously. I love this place, but I cannot express how many users that I&;ve loved have left or just given up over this matter. It defeats me.
Hmm, you&;d probably have to go by the pets unique ID.
I just noticed, if I go to my pets from my profile, it does go by ID (<a href="https://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=363319">https://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=363319</a>)
In the news announcement for the spotlight winner, there&;s a link by ID, but on the spotlight page the links are by name. I didn&;t even know that was a thing xD
I think these suggestions are incredible! I feel like the unique ID for the pet link would work great, and if not, perhaps there's some way to link user sub-categorized pets?
Disclaimer: I have no idea how coding works. |D But is something akin to "pet=Cass/Dorian" possible?
It'd have to go by userID, because of people changing their usernames...

The only thing I can think of that would make life easier is the ability to remove specific amount of items from the vault. I play from my phone and tapping the x 25 times while going back a page is frustrating lol.

Life improvement suggestion, if possible. And i couldn't read 8+ pages of ideas, so... how about click-to-move for the stickers? or the option for one, like we have for TCs? at 600 stickers, it's a bit difficult to drag-and-drop, and sometimes i release the button by mistake, and the sticker goes all the way to the bottom. and it's a bit frustrating.

Oh man, doesn't the dropdown work for you on mobile? I can select from 1-50 and All, as well as the x and All links under each item.

I mean when I want to move 25 of one item when I have 70 or so. I have to individually click or take 50 or all. It’s a pain when I’m sending out gifts and prizes for contests. I like to take out exactly what I need so that once my inventory is empty I can move to the next person. I know it’s just a me thing but it helps me on mobile to not get mixed up or miss items for people lol.

You know how we can search an item and get a "Token Shop (Not available right now!)"
Can we please get that for CS items. It's annoying to go and look all over for something to finally realize "Oh, it's probably retired."
I told myself I wouldn't post without making sure that my suggestions hadn't been posted already, but I only got to the middle of page 3. And this thread keeps growing! So I apologize if these have been suggested before.
These are things I've been wishing for for a long time:
- Ability to turn off stat bonuses from jobs. [ul]
- I know some people probably really like these, but they make me sad, because I like to have pets have certain stats. For example, Wae got to Level 200/Stats 500 a couple of months ago, and she's since received a level, 2 strength points, and 4 defense points by collecting job income. Also, I have a set of pets that don't have any stats whatsoever (Level 0/Stats 0). I worked hard and paid a lot of money for this aesthetic, so right now they can't have any job, which isn't cool.
- I envision something like what it does for the minion zoo (You have 1 there already!). It wouldn't prevent you from putting more in there, but it would let you know if you've already got it there, and preferably how many. The way it is now, I have to do an account search first.
- I know this has been suggested already, but I just wanted to touch on the part where they might be tied into the cleansing pools - you might want to be really careful about this, since there's already a cleansing pool for making a pet hungry again. It might be confusing to have two pools on the same premise (making a pet hungry vs making a pet "forget" they've eaten something), and I imagine most people wouldn't want to accidentally use one when they meant to use the other.
- I have a sneaking suspicion that this could be plausible (because if you are at 0 on the EXP page and hit the down arrow, it flashes -1 ever so briefly). I'm already planning on using EXP to get exact numbers, and I would love to be able to lower the numbers as well - like in Wae's case. I know there are already the leeches, but this would be more precise.
- The zapping is because sometimes one's hand slips and in auto pilot, you might choose the wrong pet. I'd feel better if I knew only the pets I'd be okay zapping would show up. If this was a GA feature I'd have GA forever, no lie (or at least whenever I'm zapping). The reading thing is tied into deleting books from a pets' books read, but it's also more than that. For example, right now I can keep myself from accidentally feeding a pet by putting them into the resort, but I can't keep myself from accidentally reading to the wrong pet. If certain ones would simply not show up on the option list, that would solve the problem.
- I love how attaching a minion can immediately take you to the minion naming page - that was a wonderful QoL improvement! The next step to me would be to add a link to the pet's profile from the naming page so that you could see what the minion looks like next to the pet.
- AFAIK avatar like buttons are currently only on forums, but sometimes I run into a user's avatar somewhere else, and I'd like to show my appreciation for their avatar without having to hunt down the last time they posted on the forums. This would include event-related tasks where you get a random player, such as trick or treat and snowball fights. It would also be cool to add it to the hover display that comes up when you hover over someone's user name.
As always, Bug and Amber, thanks so much for all you do on this site. I know you guys are fixing all the problems even when we don't see anything right away! Also, I love the two new user preference options. :) You guys are awesome. ^_^
If turning off stat bonuses from jobs were a thing, then turning off random event stat growth might also be worth looking at. Maybe some kind of option per pet to lock stats? That could prevent you from accidentally putting the pet in training and spending its experience points too.
On the same line, I'd really like to see level and intellect leeches. Stats have aesthetic value, so I'm not sure why these two shouldn't also be able to be reduced. Intellect leeches might need to only work on bonus points from boosters and random events so as not to create an issue with the number of books read. It might be possible to game training time and cost with level leeches, so they might need to be priced to make doing that costly if the BAs think that might encourage weird play or cause game issues.
I’d love to see a search feature within the Cash Shop. I love the Shop Search feature that tells you if an item can be found in the Cash Shop, but it can be difficult to know which category it will be in or if it’s even currently in the shop.

another forum suggestion, so right now I wanted to quote only what Amber replied to me, but I had to quote all the post and remove the rest of the answers, can we have a button that let us quote a part of the post?
Maybe I&;m doing it wrong so if yes please tell me. I&;m not so good with coding haha
You know... now that I think about it, I think this can be done. I could make it so if you highlight a part and click quote, it'll only quote the part you highlighted. But only caveat is, this might not work on every browser, and probably won't work on mobile since highlighting is weird there
Okay so... I wanted to update on this real quick, and let you know I tried to do this, but it ended up being more complicated than I thought because of sCode, so I don't think it will be possible after all... Sorry D:

My favorite part of the site is the forum groups but I realized today that your forum posts are visible in your recent posts..which kind of defeats the purpose of a forum group being private. Is it possible to make forum group posts NOT show up in a user's recent posts but still make it visible to admins/mods?
