This is a really good idea, so I will see what I can do! However, I'm afraid that if this is implemented, it won't be possible to make it retroactive, and the logs would need to be automatically cleared after a certain time (like 3 months maybe?)
This is also a great idea so I'll add this to my list! Like the pet spotlight denial log, a trade log would also not be retroactive. It would also be necessarily limited (older trade logs will automatically get cleared after a certain time) However I think it would still be pretty useful for the reasons you've stated.
That's fair! I'll see about adding a character count to that page. I'm also working on adding it to the text boxes for posting a forum reply and new topic <3
The character limit is a physical limit - it's how much physical space (like in bytes) that it's allowed to take up. This is a property of the database thing we store it in. You can't store more data because it can only hold so much data.
Increasing this storage space does come with associated costs, I guess the most obvious of which is that we'd require more database storage space which we gotta pay for. So I guess what I'm saying is, we can change it, it's just not something we can change arbitrarily since it does have costs that factor into it.
But!! we hear you about it being too small right now. So I'll speak with on whether or not we can edit this to allow for bigger signatures! I think there's a good chance we can.

The gardens would be nice to have revamped for summer! I&;ve recently been doing a bit of gardening and it&;s so easy to forget to water your plants. New seeds would be cool as well.

So, the forum signature input area has a character limit. It doesn&;t say this, nor does it say what the limit is. On top of that, I find whatever limit it is to be too small. My signature looks quite small in my opinion, but I can&;t add much more links or even decorations because the URLs put me over. Like if I want to use the cool new table codes to fancy up my signature, I probably don&;t have enough room to.
In short the coding itself takes up more space than the text it creates and the character limit is harsh about this.

A quest that often requires you to literally spend a whole hour clicking one button as fast as possible, and you can still fail it? Is that really intended?

Any possibility of us getting a price sort on the Books/Foods unread/eaten page? I know right now we can technically do it by adding every single item on the list to a WL and then price sorting but its very cumbersome and it'd be awesome for reading to new pets. Since its probably an intensive function, maybe it could be GA only/limited to once a day/something like that.
Hii! Sorry if this was mentioned somewhere, I skimmed the thread and didn't think I'd seen it yet.
I would personally love if the item vault could also have a sort by Item Use, like galleries/shops do. The only reason I keep my gallery is because of this function for all my excess items. I'm aware we can make categories in vaults but I have so many items that it would be unrealistic and too time consuming to sort them all individually D:

Is PvP battling something that will ever get back on the table ? It used to exist years ago when Subeta was essentially bootstrapped together by amateur developpers, it wasn't 100% glitch free but it did work

I had a pet rejected for spotlight and got the nice event notification that spelled out the reasons (love this!...not sure when it was implemented, but it’s so helpful). Only problem is that i accidentally deleted the event and I won’t have the time to dedicate to that pet for at least another month, so I’ll for sure have forgotten what I was supposed to fix by then. Any chance we could have it also show up somewhere that’s saved for us to reference back to?

in the same vein as what said, i think it would be super helpful to have an 'event history' page, like the 'ping history' page -- sometimes i mis-click and accidentally delete events that i haven't seen/read yet and want to go back to them? idk how complicated or stupid this might be (maybe im the only one who has this issue) but it would be super helpful for me (:

I was curious if maybe the amount of items in a trade could go up to 15 items instead of the 10 currently? If not as a normal, everyday thing, have it be a Gold Account perk perhaps?

How about this as a suggestion?

Can we make a pet a sub-resource to a user? It would let you remove the uniqueness constraint on pet names and still link a pet to a specific user.
Hear me out for the next couple of paragraphs. /pets/Jack is just a vanity URL anyway. In truth, pets are just a sub-resource to a user, and the user is a first class citizen for Subeta. Users have an avatar. Users have [0..n] pets pets. Any new feature is going to be tied to us as the user going forward.
Yeah, there are a couple of gotchas. The pet spotlight winner list, for one. The BB code for pet=name. We’d have to identify and work through these cases, but it’s incredibly achievable.
I’ve been trying to think of a counter argument that is technical in nature, and I just can’t come up with one.

I’d be more than happy to help in anyway possible with this one. Seriously. I love this place, but I cannot express how many users that I've loved have left or just given up over this matter. It defeats me.

Hmm, you'd probably have to go by the pets unique ID. I just noticed, if I go to my pets from my profile, it does go by ID (https://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=363319) In the news announcement for the spotlight winner, there's a link by ID, but on the spotlight page the links are by name. I didn't even know that was a thing xD

It would be great to be able to delete a sMail from inside the sMail, like you can do with email.
QOL idea: I'd like ways of categorising things en mass, as well as the ways we have of moving them en mass.
To move items between Inventory, Shops, and Vault, you can do Mass Add or Move All. But for Shop and Vault categories, and Wardrobe drawers, for each individual item you click on a dropdown list and select which category to move it to.
For me, it would be so much easier to select a bunch of items at once and then "move all to Eyes drawer" or "move all to Books category". (Same idea as the way that in a spreadsheet you can highlight multiple cells/rows/columns and then apply formatting to all of them at once.)
TLDR I like to set a search pattern and then catch everything that fits, rather than work through a list categorising each item in turn.
Alternative version, for Wardrobe drawers: I would love to be able to move items into/between drawers from within the Wardrobe. Set my layer, start browsing through ... oh whoops I put this one in the wrong drawer! It should be in Eyes, not Hair! I want to drag-and-drop it, or move it with a few clicks ... but nooooo, gotta select it so that the name is visible, trundle the cursor around to its name, copy it, open the Organize page, wait for the filters to load, paste the name, wait for that to load, select the drawer, and Apply. By the time I've done all that I've lost the thread of the HA I was working on.
On the "more feasible" scale: the Wardrobe Organize Items page defaults to the sortings
- Name / ItemID / Userprice / Rarity / Timeline
- Ascending / Descending
- All / hat / head / neck / face / chest / overchest / body / back / arms / hands / fingers / waist / bottom / legs / ankles / feet / backdrop / foreground / shoulders / held / ears / ground fullbody / lowerback
- All items / Not sorted / Drawer1 / Drawer2 / Drawer3 ...
Would it be possible to customise that? After every single round of item-sorting I have to reset the filters (or rather, wait for the page to load, then wait again for the list of items to load, then set the filters) to my preferred sorting, which is almost always Timeline, Descending, All, Not Sorted.
Plus that old bug of the pagination links displaying with no spaces. That just confuses me.
