Are you 18 or older and looking for a forum group that is full of members who get to know you as a person and not just a name on the screen? If so Kindred Spirits is just the place for you! We are a close group of friends, always looking for new faces to join our shenanigans!
What makes Kindred Spirits Special?
⭐ Supportive, Caring and Fun-Loving Members! ⭐ Members Willing to Help With Any Goals ⭐ Occasional Unique KS Only Events ⭐ Smaller 'mirror' events for Site Wide Events ⭐ Discord Chat
What We Expect of Our Members
We expect our members to be active and participate within the group (and we have several ways to participate: KS forums, Discord chat and this thread!) when they are active on the site. If you cannot be active on the site due to whatever reason just let us know, that way we don't think you've forgotten us! And that is it! (Aside from following all Subeta and Group Rules 😉 ) We are what our members make us, and we have something for everyone (if we don't we'll make it if our members ask for it!).
Meet the KS Leadership Team
Owner/Admin: Indispensable Mods:
Our much beloved friend and co-owner Innerflame passed away on August 1, 2013. We would not be a group at all without all of the dedication she put into building our community. She was a kind and beautiful soul and we will miss her greatly ❤
If you wish to speak to any of us, feel free to ping us here, or use our Staff Ping group and whoever is online at the time will be happy to answer any questions you have. Also, all of our members may take up leadership roles as needed to help run games or give their input into what we do. We're a democracy (mostly) not a dictatorship 😉 If we sound like the group for you please fill out this brief questionnaire (please remember to copy the ping group for our staff!) and hang around here for a little bit and chat with our current members 😄 As soon as a member of staff gets online we can send you an invite to the group!
Kindred Spirits is always accepting age 18+ players who are already involved in other groups - specific focus or general/social. The main thing is that when you join KS you spend some time with us, because if you're going to join and spend no time getting to know us or playing/chatting with us, there is no point in being a member.
Questionaire
Do you prefer to be called by your username or another name? Have you had any other usernames prior to this one?
What are your interests on Subeta? (Human Avatars/Pets/Battle/Restocking etc. )
How often do you play on site and will you be active within the group?
Why are you interested in joining Kindred Spirits? Are you currently in any other groups?
Tell us a bit about you! (This doesn't have to be lengthy or detailed you can save that for your introduction in the group! Think of this as an ice breaker question. )
We hit the limit so we've got a Brand Spankin' New Thread again. Come Chat!

Still depressed, more than usual.
Smokey here. We are not in danger from the surrounding fires, but the smoke level is unhealthy and we are told to stay in and no heavy exercising. Need to remember my inhaler more often not just when it starts hurting a lot.
I thought the same thing about my post second to last then I saw the 250 and knew. Hugs.
Stay safe!
Well, we've got news of a quest-a-thon! Woohoo! Fingers crossed that the site holds up during the event.
I have a few ideas on what pet to get.
EDIT: Wish I didn't have to put this here but.....
Am I too paranoid? I'm literally afraid of even going outside to take a breath of fresh air due to the virus. My mother says I need to have more faith, and she's worried that I'll get serious health conditions due to not getting fresh air because the air in our house is "man-made."
She argues that my father goes out to his job everyday (library technician) and comes back fine. But he's actually wearing a mask. She's wanting me to do this without a mask. It's only for a few seconds, but I'm so nervous because I've heard stuff about how badly the virus had affected certain people.
I know my family would be badly affected if I caught it. In addition to my father not being able to work, my mother recently had to start wearing a defibrillator. I don't know if that makes her more at risk.....
I'm in the southern U.S., in one of the states that has had steady increases in cases.

I live in Florida and I don't wear a mask outside if there aren't any people nearby. My house is a little distance away from anyone so going out in the yard isn't dangerous as there aren't usually people nearby.
But if there are people nearby and if I have to go anywhere with other people (say a doctor's office) I wear a mask.
I don't spend a lot of time outside and some days I don't go outside.
I have asthma and my husband has diabetes which puts both of us at high risk. So we're both extremely careful so we don't get each other sick.
hugs I feel you. I sometimes think I'm not going to know what it feels like to not feel stressed ever again.
Fresh air is good for you. If you can go outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air safely you should. Or cloudy rainy days too. If you are in a private home with a yard then you're good. Heck, we've moved one of our deck chairs into the garage and on rainy days my mom sits there and enjoys the sounds and the air. If you aren't in a private home then hopefully there is a space outside you can find to not be near anyone too closely. And outside with a mask is good too. Masks won't keep you from fresh air. My mom and I are both high risk for bad outcomes if we catch it, but I still need to leave the house even though I'd rather not right now. Just need to do it as safely as possible. Wear a mask, wash your hands, stay 8 feet or more away from others.

I was ready for the questathon, not so much the natural lag that came with it. Took way longer than it should have to do all the quests.

I think things have improved. We're nearly at 900k quests!
I'm still torn on what pet to get next.....I'm leaning towards glacier blob.

Yeah, Keith fixed it before day 2 so it's been mostly smooth sailing since. Got tiny bits of lag or a blank page but mostly it's been fine for questing.
