Do you guys allow people to join multiple groups?

I don't mind something being "extra". Sometimes it adds to the charm =D

Only Blumhouse film I didn't like was Fantasy Island because they used too many twists at the end to the point nothing made sense. Before the ending it was a fun film. I wanted to see the film because Lucy Hale in a bad horror movie is my thing.

I don't think I've seen Fantasy Island? I should check it out, even if it's bad, I do love Lucy Hale! The Cinderella movie she's in is hilariious

I mainly know her from the Pretty Little Liars tv series. It's a so bad it's good show.

Haha, yeah, PLL was a trip. I loved it when I was in high school, but now I just think Erza and Aria's relationship is creepy

Since it's a fictional show (plus both actors are adults) I don't mind their relationship but I find it extremely odd that it was endgame in the show. As the target audience is young adults and they should be shown healthy relationships.

It's doubly odd as in the books the relationship does not last (I think Ezra ends up being arrested?) because he's a teacher and she's a student in high school.

1. Do you prefer to be called by your username or another name? Have you had any other usernames prior to this one? I don't have a preference. Aristte is fine :) Have not had any other prior usernames.

2. What are your interests on Subeta? (Human Avatars/Pets/Battle/Restocking etc. ) Pets and Human Avatars. I'm working on figuring out what I want for my HA though.

3. How often do you play on site and will you be active within the group? I'm online every day. Will definitely be active within the group.

4. Why are you interested in joining Kindred Spirits? Are you currently in any other groups? I'd like to join Kindred Spirits because I'm looking to make some friends on Subeta and the group seems really active and friendly. I'm currently a part of ASP, and, while they are lovely people, there hasn't been much chatting. I think everyones focused on the Morostide activities.

5. Tell us a bit about you! (This doesn't have to be lengthy or detailed you can save that for your introduction in the cult! Think of this as an ice breaker question. ) I'm 29 and live in Australia. I'm a very crafty person (I make figurines, sew, cross stitch etc) and absolutely love dogs. Aside from Subeta, I am playing Stardew Valley again and trying to get back into Animal Crossing.

I remember someone mentioning having watched Haunting of Bly Manor? I finished the season a few days ago and thought it was great. I'm not a huge fan of horror, so I haven't watched House on Hill. Not sure how Bly Manor compares but I really enjoyed the storytelling and the twists.

Might just be everything going on in the world. I know we as group have been more quiet for awhile. I know that as my mood descends my chatting does as well and I've not been in the greatest of mental places lately. We also have a number of shy members. But if a few people start talking/chatting more I believe people will join in. We also have a discord channel and several members only chat there. If you would join our group Here I'll let you in. Both are good but I think Haunting of Hill House has better pacing. Plus it has one really long shot that is just amazing from a technical standpoint.

The guy behind both has also done Oculus (2013) and Doctor Sleep (2019). If you want to take a look at his filmography. But, a warning, both are horror movies.

I would, but I really don't do well with horror. I think the only two horrors I've ever watched in my life are Bly Manor and American Horror Story. I only watched these because my SIL convinced me. Had to get my husband to agree to accompany me around the house if I did :P

I'm tempted to try Hill House, but I know that won't end well .

Both Bly Manor and Hill House focus on very human things instead of 'oooh spooky ghosts'!

If you do decide to face your fears, if you liked Bly Manor you'll like Hill House :)

They're both part of the series The Haunting and I can't wait to see what ghost story Mike Flannagan will adapt for the next season =D

Bly Manor was actually adaptations of multiple works of Henry James :)

I might see if my SIL will want to watch with me then. I think she read reviews on Hill House and saw that it was a lot scarier than Bly Manor. The first couple episodes of Bly Manor was already a lot for me haha.

Scary is subjective. I would say that Bly Manor allowed more time for the really spooky stuff to happen whereas Hill House jumped right in.

Ah, so you reckon it's about the same level? Are there a lot of jump scares?

Also, off topic - I just got the new Mario kart live game where you race an RC car in real life. The dogs hate it haahhaha
