I've never really made my own thread before so I thought I'd start up a fantasy highschool one! It's kind of generic I know but I really love fantasy stuff so why not? :3

Setting:

• A large old looking highschool surrounded by vast acres of land (including a forest and large lake). There are three main buildings (the school itself, a reception building where students pick up schedules, dorm keys and there is a nursing room, and a canteen/cafeteria) as well as three dorm buildings - rooms fit three students. They're fairly large rooms; beds around the outside with desks and chests of drawers for the students to store their belongings, as well as small wardrobes and drawers under the bed. Unoccupied dorms are available to students for quiet study and remain unlocked.
• Lessons consist of standard school lessons (english, maths, gym etc.) and also sorcery, potions, hunting, survival.. (You choose what your character studies). The forest is used for hunting and survival lessons.
• The lake has canoe boats and a pier on a small beach for free time and relaxation. The grounds are spacious and there is plenty of space for picnics and free time during the warmer months. There is also a gym and a student shop which sells basic school supplies such as notebooks, pens, etc.

Rules:

• Must apply to Subeta Roleplaying Rules.
• If things start to get X-Rated (nudity, anything more than kissing, etc) time-skip.
• Please wait for me to give the okay to your skellies before posting your starting post.
• No flaming/harassing, godmodding, killing off other user's characters without permission.
• Drama is okay within the roleplay, but keep it there and don't take it ooc.
• Romance is encouraged.
• Please tell me if you need/want to drop out, that way no-one is left waiting for a reply.

Name: Salus Riel Nickname: Beelze Age: 16 (Actually 93) Appearance: Salus Personality: Salus has a bit of a dampened personality, and he is usually quite except not exactly shy. He usually tries to keep himself alone, though he doesn't really mind people all that much. When he does speak, it's usually in a sly, almost flirtatious tone, though that's just the way he talks. Nationality: American/Thai Dorm: 1 Creature: Cambion Crush (es): N/A Other: He has the ability to grow black feathery wings and black horns, but Salus usually keeps them in for convenience. He also has a black katana he keeps in his dorm (As weapons aren't allowed to be carried around, I presume.) that was a gift to him by his Demon father.

Name: Maellan Maledire Nickname: Mael Age: 15 Appearance: Mael His family is very poor, so Mael typically has to wear hand me downs from his older brothers. Personality: The baby of a large but poor family, Maellan is used to being overlooked. He is very shy and submissive, tending to fade into the background around more assertive personalities. He is a dedicated student, always studying, as he is determined to become a doctor one day. He's kind and gentle, and hates seeing others in pain. He always feels like he's under a large amount of pressure, as his older brother Mason has sacrificed everything so that Mael could go to a good school and get the education he deserves. Nationality: American Dorm: 1 Creature: Cursed by a Shadow Demon Crush (es): N/A Other: many generations ago Maellan's family was cursed by a powerful demon, and now every member of his family has a minor demon dwelling in his or her soul. This demon grants them powers over the shadows, but at a price, they must make an appeasement to the demon once a year and at special occasions. If they fail to do so, the demon will devour their soul. In order to force the bloodline to continue, the minor demon will also select a mate for its host, twisting his or her emotions until they have a near physical need for the chosen individual and can be with no other. Sometimes this works out well, but sometimes as in the case of Mael's older brother Mav, it can go very very wrong. Naturally, they keep the curse a secret, instead passing themselves off as shadow masters, able to control and move through shadows at will.

Name: Hana Nogitsune Nickname: Miss Mayhem Age: 18 Appearance: Very short, she has naturally black hair that she has curled into ringlets and died a shocking shade of pink. She has brown eyes and is of Japanese origin. Always smiling and up to mischief. Personality: Hana is a very odd individual. She seems incapable of calling people by their names, instead coming up with a new nickname every time she sees a person. She is very outgoing and friendly, a person people tend to gravitate to. Yet don't let appearances fool you, Hana is a prankster down to the core. She is always up to something, and though he's sneaky enough that nothing can ever be pinned on her, when something happens, everyone knows who was behind it. She's a huge gossip and very keyed in to the rumor mill, she always seems to know things before anyone else. Nationality: Japanese American Dorm: 2 Creature: Kitsune Crush (es): N/A Other: She appears quite human but if she's seen in a mirror she has fox ears and a tail, and her shadow is that of a fox. She can transform into a three-tailed fox at will.

Name: Vicente Basquiate Nickname: V Age: 17 Appearance: Vicente is on the taller side, standing a few inches past six feet. He doesn't have a lot of fat on him, but has a very broad frame. His face is long, with a strong jaw, straight flat nose, and sharp cheekbones. His eyes are almond shaped, several shades lighter brown than his dark oak skin. His hair is brown to the point of black and naturally curly, though he shaves it close to his head, reducing it to soft black fuzz. He seems to be perpetually over-dressed. (Added reference pic) Personality: Vicente tends to come off as very cynical, when in fact he's a closeted optimist. When he thinks someone is condescending to him or others, he takes it as a personal invitation to knock that person off of their high horse, but for the most part he demonstrates humility in his interactions. He shrugs off any attempts to help him, but feels a deep need to help others. Nationality: French Dorm: 3 (?) Creature: Nix Crush (es): N/A Other: He can breath without assistance under water for any period of time, and if he stays below the surface for a period longer than two days, his body adapts to gain nutrients from his surroundings. He can communicate with more complex marine life (ex. whales, orcas). If he sings or plays music, he can lure and hypnotize those within hearing range ((though this may work less well with varying species than it does on humans, i.e. I won't GM no worries :P ))

Her hair is a pale grey-ish blond, her skin a sort of sickly white. She usually wears her hair up in knotted braids, but when let down it reaches the bottom of her torso. She isn't quite short, but her general build could be described as petite. (Added reference pic) Personality: Tanya can have trouble seeing past her own opinions, but she usually has relatively good intentions. She is very quick to anger and to judge, she feels very strongly about other people usually within days of meeting them. When she's in a good mood, she can carry a conversation or a party without much assistance from those around her. Nationality: UK/Russian Dorm: 3 (?) Creature: Víla Crush (es): N/A Other: She can carry herself in the air by controlling great gusts of wind, and if she becomes too enraged and loses control of herself, she can create earthquakes.

Name: Charlie Novak Nickname: Nova Age: 17 Appearance: Charlie referance 1 Referance 2 Her eyes are a bright green eyes and blue hair due to an experiment gone wrong. Personality: Charlie doesn't talk about her family, typically because her mother divorced her father at a young age and her father did tests on his daughter. She hates her father and will refuse to talk about him. She very cold at first as it takes time and persistence to break down her walls. She prefers to work alone as she has always relied on herself. Charlie secretly loves Frank Sinatra, especially his song Witchcraft (as it was her parent's wedding song). Charlie does care but doesn't like to show it as she thinks her opinions don't matter and that others don't care for her. Nationality: French/American Dorm: Dorm 3 Creature: Genetically Altered with cybernetic enhancements Crush (es): Vicente Other: Due to her enhancements she can take more of a beating than others but will need to heal and repair any damage. All her organs are intact, she has cybernetics in her right arm and both her legs. Her enhancements are visible in certain places. Charlie keeps a picture of how she looked before everything and doesn't show anyone because she isn't the same person anymore

Name: Kaida Ryoko Nickname: Kai, Little Dragon Age: Appears to be 18, or younger, but is over a century old. Appearance: Kaida is very small, with a petite frame and short in stature. Most people aren't intimidated by her because she's so tiny and cute, but she's not so cute if you make her unbearably angry. At first glance, her long pointy ears and facial structure (sharp nose, dainty jawline, large, doe like eyes) make people believe she is an elf, but her small dragon like wings are a dead giveaway and so are her sharply angled teeth. Her hair is light green, brightening out to a blue color on the ends, and her eyes are a sunset hazel color. Personality: She's very loud, and likes to think that she's pretty fierce. She's got a big heart though (after all, she is a dragon, hehe), and really cares about others and what they think of her. Kaida is easily hurt, not physically but emotionally. Any amount of yelling makes her cry like a child. She's very childish sometimes but has so much knowledge. She doesn't like to show how smart she is or how much she cares, fearing being hurt, but those closest to her know what a big heart she has. Nationality: Japanese American Dorm: Dorm 4? Creature: Dragon-Shifter Crush (es): She has a little bit of a thing for Salus, because she's beyond curious about him and gets flustered talking to him. (if that's alright, ) Other: When she gets angry, she tends to burn things with her breath, accidentally breathing out fire when huffing in aggravation, and tends to accidentally burn her books, or homework, or desk. Sometimes the teacher. Whoops.

Bic: Shasta nervously clung to the strap his brown leather messenger bag as he made his way into the reception area to pick up his dorm key and schedule. Upon walking in, he'd already realised that he stood out due to the style of clothes he was wearing and also his noticeable height difference. He picked at the frayed hem of his sleeve as he waited for the receptionist to gather his things, trying not to draw too much attention to himself. Afterwards he hurried up to his dorm, leaving his bag by the door but not so it was an obstruction; he didn't want to call "dibs" on any of the beds first as he believed it was more polite to let his dorm mates have first pick. Being a curious Hobbit he then decided to go exploring so he could gain a basic understanding of the academy and its facilities, starting with the forest.

Charlie looked up at the school as she stood outside. She was considering running off as she didn't want to be here but on the other hand being here meant she didn't have to deal with her father. She sighed before slowly treading into the school, Charlie played with the locket around her neck as it was a reminder to who she used to be. The duffel bag on her shoulder made a small clank as she adjusted it. The contents of her bag was her clothes and equipment to repair her arm and legs. nnAs she entered the building she noticed a hobbit run into what she guessed to be the dorms. Charlie shrugged as she headed into the office to grab her map and dorm key. She headed to dorm three and picked the bed by the window. Gently she placed her duffle bag on the bed as she started to unpack her equipment to find a safe place to put it.

Tanya relished the odd little scraping sound the wheels on her travel bag made as she tugged it along behind her. She had always wanted a roll-along backpack as a child, but having been mostly kept out of formal school she'd never been able to persuade her parents to purchase one for her. The travel bag was the next best thing. She didn't even want a backpack anymore, perfectly content with the satchel slung over her side, but in its own way the bag felt like a victory.

She didn't spend long in the reception building, shrugging off the receptionist's small talk as she eagerly collected her key and schedule. Dorm 3. As she walked to her dormitory building, key in hand, she wondered what it would be like living with other people. Other girls, right? Yes, probably girls, though she wasn't certain.

She turned the key to find the room door had already been unlocked. She easily turned the handle as well and pushed her way in--it only occurred to her then that she possibly should have knocked. She walked straight for the bed nearest to the door and looked over at the bed by the window, which was apparently occupied.

"Hey," she called over lightly, "I'm Tanya. So I guess we're rooming together, huh?"

& I'll introduce Vicente a bit later, as I wasn't sure if he's Shasta's roommate or not. I know 1, 2, and 3 are filled, but is that spots in one room, or rooms with 3 each? Sorry >.<;;))

IC: Beelze walked towards the doors of the large school building, his left arm resting on his katana, Thanatos, and his other resting on a dark grey backpack slung across one shoulder. He opened the doors and proceeded to the receptionists' desk. The receptionist was an relatively old elven woman, graying hair up in a bun. "Salus Riel." He said, telling the receptionist his name so that he could get his key and schedule. "You're in dorm 1." Said the receptionist, giving him his key and schedule. "Also, you will not be able to carry that sword of yours around campus, so I must ask you to keep it in your dorm at all times." She told him while he was walking away. Beelze gave her a wave, not even looking her way to signify he heard her.

Once he got to the dorm he opened the door to find it was currently unoccupied, so he made himself at home. He threw his stuff onto the top bunk, immediately taking ownership of the top bunk. He liked to be on the highest place possible, as it would allow him to be closer to the sky he could so carelessly and freely fly in. He then unzipped his backpack and took out all of his extra clothes he brought, along with coat hangers, all of them with "Beelze" written on them. He put all of his extra clothes in the dorm dresser, got back on the top bunk, and waited for his roommates to arrive.

"Oof!" A bang and then Kaida's face hit the floor, the bags that she had been struggling to carry in the doors falling from her arms and flying across the hall. She was such a klutz. Looking around to make sure no one but the receptionist had seen her blunder, and scurried to pick up her bag before coming up to the desk. She probably shouldn't have packed the two bags so damn full, because now they were too heavy for her tiny self to carry. Kaida hated being so small, she hated having to stand on her tip toes to fully see over the tall, tall desk the woman was sitting at. "Kaida. Uhm, Ryoko." She stumbled over her words and then gave a small grin, her pointy teeth visible. The woman seemed a bit put off, but not frightened, which made Kaida roll her eyes. No one would be afraid of her when she was human, would they? It wasn't fair, all three of her brothers were so much taller than her, and even bigger when in dragon form, and two of the three were younger than her! She took the key from the woman with a grumble of thanks, and went off to her dorm, opting to drag the damn bags behind her.

She struggled with them all the way to Dorm 4, her wings flapping as she dragged them, making small sounds of annoyance as she went along. She would occasionally lift off the ground from her struggles, but as soon as she made it to the dorm she sighed in relief. Kaida used the key the woman gave her to open the door and looked around, claiming a bed by the window, seeing as no one was here yet. Feeling a bit lonely, she got up to explore, having a feeling it would be a while before any roommates would show up- if she had any at all.

Ooc: Hey I'm the co-admin for this thread! A teacher would be great and new, so yeah go ahead :D Also if you want to have a student as well that would be fine~ Dorm 4 has two spots left so your student will be sharing with Kaida c: I think teachers will have separate dorms to students so you can delete that from the skellie, though it's probably worth confirming that with when she returns?

Ah yes there are three students per dorm which means that Vicente isn't Shasta's dorm mate but they can still interact x3

I'm a little pressed for time at the minute (New Years Day celebrations and all) but if you want your character to interact with Shasta - he's going to the forest to scout out the area - just ping me!

I started an intense and in depth RP on another site and it's taking up all of my attention and writing time, and my other, lower priority RPs are suffering. Sorry, if I'm going to RP with you, I want to be able to give it my full attention and abilities, but I can't right now.
